Tongo says he engaged child lock on both back doors to ensure the incident was "a success" - the woman couldn't jump out.

I'm pretty sure Tongo was the star witness for the state, this is looking bad for them. SD might not have to get on the stand after all.

CCTV clip from the hotel shows the Dewani couple in the foyer together waiting for Tongo to fetch them on the Saturday night.

In the video clip, the Dewani couple are seen in the hotel lobby and appear to be behaving affectionately towards each other.

CCTV clip from the hotel shows the couple posing for what appears to be for a photograph in the foyer.

So far I think the money is an important factor and it sounds as though VZ is on to it. Do they, or not, have any evidence re the money SD gave to them, and whether the amount corresponds with the money SD exchanged.

AFAIK, this would be in Qwabe and Xolile Mngeni statement. Tongo received his 'cut' at the hotel after the murder, he says he was shortchanged by SD.

Yes, I have been thinking that myself. When you read Tongo's and S.D statements side by side they both have their versions covered.
Although when S.D. stated he asked Tongo if he could get him a cheaper helicopter ride and offered R15,000 I thought that was rather excessive. I see that many flight company's in Cape Town offer private tours for much less than this figure and that is a 2014 quotation so going back to the incident it would have been probably cheaper at that time.
I did try sending a link from Cape-tours on the web which as all the price details but was unable to send the link.

Would such an astute and travel savvy person as SD not know the going rate? He seems to know all this in his other travels. Very hard to decide what is going on here, but Tongo is failing badly, none of it makes sense. Unless he just isn't a clever man and this will be exploited by VZ and shown up to the judge. :dunno:

VZ to Tongo: its the defence's case that you always knew it was his wife.

I think it something to do with the CCTV when Tongo is in the hotel parking area, and he opened the front door of the car. He says to drop rubbish out of the car.

Defence asks Tongo when he removed rubbish from his vehicle. He says at the time he opened the front door at the hotel’s parking lot.
