VZ: Dr. Verster found that this was an angled contact shot. Would you agree with me, without taking everything else into consideration, this is not an execution type murder

VZ: Why is that?

PH: In my view, this is not a professional person

Execution-style killings are usually well organised.

VZ: Was this a robbery, sir?

PH: It appears from the facts and evidence I got, they were robbed

VZ: Did you not find it strange that a hit, with the primary motive to kill a woman, that she had been shot

PH:I've dealt with many such criminals. This is not a unique case,if you look at the Dina Rodriques case, where money is involved

(I've put a link to her case earlier in threads. She went to a taxi driver in Cape Town and asked for a hit on her boyfriend's child. He got hold of 4 hit men and they killed the child but made it look like a robbery. They did it for R10 000 )

PH: It's similar. The facts are the same. A taxi driver was approached. It's not unique for the violent society we live in in South Africa. The fact that it doesn't appear like a professional hit, doesn't mean it wasn't.

VZ repeats:

PH: The shot was still aimed at vital organs.

VZ: Be careful sir, bias is showing

VZ: Why don't you want to concede that where the bullet was placed is not normally what one would see in execution cases?

PH: Because this case has a different set of merits.
