The links are from Politico, Huffington Post, VOA, and are all about the GOP being under attack by this special prosecutor, who hired notoriously Democratic attorneys as his staff---and yet people are saying this is not 'political.'

There are also links from other sources. I provided a mixture because I assumed the people asking for links were starting from zero and I wanted to provide an overview of what was going on so they could catch up and be ready for tomorrow. I just took the top 10 google news hits. If you don't like the VOX or HuffPo links I would suggest you simply use one of the many others provided.

I think we are all interested in finding out what the grand jury approved. It affects everyone in the land regardless of political affiliation.

And it's not going to get political.

indictments are criminal entities -- not politics.

They are issued when much much much evidence of a crime has been committed. Grand juries do not issue indictments for anything political.

It involves the FBI DOJ prosecutors defense attorneys courts jail judges plea bargains sentencing sworn testimony

These are all entities of our criminal justice system -- the center around breaking the laws of our country.

That is why this major story is in crimes in the news

this story is about crimes making front pages of our news institutions

all of us stay in TOS there will be problem i dont think

I also agree with the money laundering theory. It is a good start and most likely just the tip of the iceberg. This is ultimately about crimes committed against all of us.

Yes, exactly. It does affect everyone regardless of political affiliation. Goodness, I'm even nervous to guess whom will be indicted or why. Seems like Mueller's investigated just about everyone — maybe even Kevin Bacon. :waitasec:

I'm leaning that way too. I think the investigation is a process and the money is the first step.

The person about to be charged may not even be a big player. It may be someone Mueller is convinced can be flipped.....leading to the arrests of top dogs.

I think the word First is very important -- more people are gonna start flipping

and we don't know there may be two or more criminals charged and placed under arrest tomorrow

and I think there is more flipping in white collar crimes - they have families etc etc !!

Any maybe there is less a chance of getting killed for snitching and imo most white collar have access to good defense attorneys

I do disagree wiht my dear simba!!

this stuff with wealthy people is more of a chess game -- the prosecutors want others to flip -- so they will let the legal teams know here is what we got on XXXX get back to us in a week or two or were knocking or you can stroll in on your own

then there attorneys will advise them to walk in -- you don't want the world to see you in handcuffs do you

jmo

Posters provided a myriad of links from the media spectrum as soon as you brought to our attention, bwt42. Thank you so much for pointing it out.

The poster didn't provide a link.

Okay, so the poster made the claim and even though others have provided many links throughout the thread you want the OP to provide the link, even though OP hasn't been back to the thread? I'm just trying to understand what you're asking for.

With the raid on Manafort's home last summer, I am inclined to agree that this will be about money laundering. I think the rules and clarity about what it means to launder are fairly easy find a paper or digital trail. JMHO.

CNN story, updated about 45 minutes ago:

Dread, expectation hang over Washington before Mueller sweep

A mood of fateful anticipation is cloaking Washington, with possible arrests imminent after the federal grand jury in the Russia investigation approved its first charges.

By taking one or more people into custody, a prospect first reported by CNN Friday, Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller would create a new, perilous reality for the White House, reflecting the gravity of the investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election and alleged collusion by President Donald Trump's associates.
