Wow - I am blown away! One of the last pieces of the puzzle just fell into place with Muzikman back on the board.

This really has been a week for getting some peace in our hearts!

OMG!!!   I have talked and talked about you and what you did for us here - you were the best!! But I never thought about sending up the bat signal so thank you Aedrys!

Seriously Muzikman - thank you for dropping in and saying hello! You played such a huge role in the three years leading up to the trial that you left a huge hole in a hearts after the verdict! It was so painful that many of our long term members never did return. But let me take this time to say thank you thank you again. You did wonderful work and I know all of us WSers thank you for being "Our Guy".

Hey congrats on your three jobs - now there's a heap of karma love for you!

I have to say that it left a huge hole in my heart to not be able to post during the trial.... and afterwards, I was so disgusted, as well as busy, that I just couldn't for a while.

Working 3 jobs.... is not really fun. But we have to do what we have to do to survive. I would really prefer just one decent-paying job, so I could have a life. :)

Hi All,
I'm not posting - recovering from yet another cancer removing procedure (all removed again - yay).
Just want to thank you all for your reports and thoughts. I'm still upset over the verdict but I asked my BFF to get me the book if she can find one. I think I can read it with all of you here to commiserate.

Tiki

You remain in our prayers, Tiki! Stay strong! Take care of yourself! (((hugs)))

No, it was because of my involvement in another area, mainly. Have to wait a bit before talking about some of it still, unfortunately. But Beach wants to have a Q&A thread, which I would very much like to do. :rocker::rocker::rocker:

The second he gives me the "go ahead" it will be opened. :)

ahhh...another teaser just to make sure I keep you guys checking back in here!

Well heck. It is hard for intelligent people to not assume that most of the general population possesses some common sense and a sense of morality.

I think the biggest problem with the jury was that we were forced to look for people who had no emotional connection to their community. We had to go with people who did not listen to the news, watch the news or read the news. People who did not WANT to know what was going on in their community or the outer world. Basically, people who did not care what was going on around them. So if you set out to make certain that everyone in the jury has that one thing in common, emotional disconnection from their outer world, then one cannot be surprised when they don't give a zhitt. imoo

The only things that I read that I don't remember hearing or us discussing had nothing to really do with the case. I didn't know that JA had been married 3 times and has 6 kids and that LDB dressed up as KC one day. I didn't remember all details, but remember most of the other stuff discussed at some point I believe.

Reposting this from the original book thread because I think it needs to be said...

Good Morning Everyone! Here it is first thing on Saturday morning and I logged into the site thinking about the last week.

One thing I want to say is that RR004 is one of my new heroes. As soon as we heard Jeff was writing a book, we've all been waiting for it. And who out of all of us took the very first opportunity to get herself out there and actually meet Jeff, get his signature, shake his hand and actually get a hug from him, despite the obvious nervousness and shaking knees!

And then to rush back and give us a full report - it may seem like a small thing but I am so far away with no chance short of jumping on a plane of having this happen - it's like having our very own action hero on the board.

So thanks RR004 - you're the best! We talk and talk on this site. I envy you your experience and really admire that you actually got out there and got it done!!! :tyou: And took the time to share it with your fellow WSers!

Well done RR004!

Bring it on!
(Muzikman, I wasn't a member prior to the trial but let me assure you, you were always my favorite poster over those years (I lurked .... a LOT!) and you kept me enthralled). Thanks.
I think Beach and you have got a big bunch of WSers very, let's say, excited with your idea for a Q&A thread!

I finally picked up the book today while I was out. I haven't started reading it yet but I was just thumbing through the pictures. The picture of Casey wearing the blue hooded-sweatshirt-- I never knew where that picture came from. Does everyone else remember this? Maybe I just totally missed the discussion about it. I don't know why anything about this woman shocks me anymore but my mouth dropped open when I read that they told her they were going to use it on a missing persons poster and she smiled like that. What a whackadoodle.

That was what she was wearing when she was first arrested.

when the detectives took her from Universal to the Police Station, they told her they wanted to take a picture to make up some posters to find Caylee. This was right before they arrested her. They were struck by how happy she was considering she had a "kidnapped child"

I finished the book. I think he was very kind to Casey's parents. I also liked how he minimalized Jose, Casey and the defense team as a whole. Nice job with that. I'm not going to nit pick the small stuff. I liked the overall affect and it did make me feel better to see some of my own thoughts on the process confirmed by him; especially about what kind of jury you get when you're going for people who knew nothing about the case.
