State vs. Jason Lynn Young 03-01-12 (A.M. session: DT closing arguments)

Ugh. Because the investigation ALWAYS STARTS WITH THE SPOUSE. How can he say this crap with a straight face????

I thought the defense was going first? :rocker:

No way anybody who thought the state had no case would have ever thought the defense attorney would stand up and say those may have been Jason's shoes there, just not his feet.

This is easily the most bizarre turn for a closing I've EVER seen.

One technique is to steal your opponent's thunder before they speak, but I've never seen it employed by actually making the points for the opponent.
Maybe Klink can object later about PT having 3 hours of time left when he's spent 30 minutes making their case?

:floorlaugh:

What a horrible closing argument for the defense thus far. I thought the DT stole a lot of thunder during the CiCs, was definitely not expecting them to flop in closing - and closing for the defense is HUGE.

Was the closing in the first trial like this?

Gotta go revise my will to state that if I am murdered my estate will pay for the defendant's closing argument to be made by Klink.

Very simple... every bloody thing was deposited into trash bags upstairs in the masterbedroom.... probably double and/or triple bagged.

Now pointing out they found his jeans... how about that sweater Mr. Klink? Or the hushpuppies?

Haven't heard them trying to explain the disappearing sweater....wonder if they will come up with a scenario for that.

I am convinced that even JY's attorney (Kink) believes he is guilty and doesn't want to see him get away with murder.

I have this on in the whole office today (but in the background). The only other time I did it was for FH because it was funny.

Someone just piped up: Did they switch roles? Klink must feel like the pros has done so much defense work he needs to do a little Pros?

Guess after being around JY all these years the DT is seeing him for what he is and perhaps this is all they can muster.

Let me try:

It may have been JY's young's sweater, the same one seen on video not found in his truck, but that DOES NOT mean JY was wearing it. BAM!

Check please!
