But Cammy,
People can't sleep when they hear that kind of news. They just can't. The mind and the body won't let them.

Agree, but then think about this.

The Pros could have went to Applebee's looking at videos as well.

Cause I want to see exactly what Jason Young was wearing when
he came back to Raleigh .........not testimony, but in photos.

Since when do we believe anything Jason says...:)
Heather says they pulled into the parking lot.
Besides, he says they were AT Applebee's, he doesn't say they were IN Applebee's.

From watching just that little segment of his testimony, I was left with the impression that they were in Applebee's and they were there for a period of time. He mentions receiving the "don't talk without a lawyer calls" and his sister finding and calling the attorney (presumably Tharrington Smith). I don't know the details well enough to know if they ate, threw back a couple of vodka tonics to quell the nerves, had a chocolate lava cake for a sugar rush or what, but I was left with the impression from HIS testimony (and the way Mr. Collins phrases the question) that they were inside.

Moo and all that jazz.

That's an interesting point--what do our resident experts know about this?

When did LE find out about the stop at Applebee's? maybe it was too late, videos taped over.

Yes Mama,,,yet another bold face lie.
Really 2 lies...shows he checked sports scores and did not do any 'work' until 10:34AM the next day.

11:43pm someone accessing a website for the hampton inn and signing into their internet service.

11:44pm logged into yahoo.com email
scout.com - sports board could get scores. accboards
11:53pm last activity
No work related activity during this time

11-3 10:34am-11:03am info pulled from local hardrive associated with chartone

IIRC, JY mentioned in testimony that he wanted to look over the company software. Is that correct? Was this proven false? What you mentioned above is just related to internet activity. Was any data collected regarding recently accessed applications on Jason's laptop?

Just got home I spent all day in the courtroom. I was impressed at how diligent the jury was in viewing evidence. I need to go walk my dog and will be checking back shortly to read up on here about every bodies thoughts for the day.

I think that investigators should have gone to all the places that Jason visited and collected surveillance images. The fact that they didn't collect the clothes that Jason was wearing when he returned to Raleigh, and did not request the clothes that Jason was wearing at any time after the murder, is a problem since the prosecution is now arguing that certain clothes are missing. Clothes may be missing and they may not be, but it cannot be concluded that clothes were missing when not all of the clothes were requested and collected.

There is no evidence so far that JY stopped to eat or strategize. It would be helpful if you would refrain from posting your speculation as though it is fact.

Thanks!

:floorlaugh:

Granted, it's hard to believe anything JY but he testified to it himself. He said he stopped at Applebe's. He even says "We were sitting there at Applebes."

Before you assume some one else is speculating, check out the testimony. Here's the link, as noted before.

Here is Heather McCracken Young ( she is very pretty, btw)

Timestamped : 9.00 Day 10, Part 3

They rec'd a phonecall as they approached Fuquay~Varina.
Ryan S. caled saying they were asking disturbing questions about Jason
and they decided they needed a lawyer.
They pulled into an Applebee's, and she thinks it was late around 11:00 pm
or a little after 11:00 pm.
Heather knew an attorney from an eye infection injury she had.
Pat called and left a message.
They left right away for MF's house.

Hmmm. We know 11 PM is totally inaccurate.
What else about her testimony is false?

The converse of this is "rush to judgment!" All of the testimony, and evidence, proves that Jason's shoes and clothing from the Hampton Inn video (striped sweater) disappeared with no explanation (an obvious omission from Becky Holt's cross in first trial). We now have further validation in this trial regarding the clothing, and even stronger evidence showing that Jason Young was wearing Hush Puppy shoes matching those found at the murder scene.

But for purposes of this forum, let's not beat around the bush, he was wearing the shoes while traveling and when he killed Michelle. Now it's for the jury to proclaim it too, finally.

There are several hours missing then. They filled up in Burlington at 8:30 and that is less than an hour to Fuquay. What time did they get to Meredith's house? They must have been at Applebee's for quite a while.

What I find so strange and extremely concerning that our society, and by extension all possible potential jury members for any case in the future, need one single physical piece of evidence to point to guilt. Or they need to see actual pictures and videos of a crime or some aspect of a defendant's activities.

I think the point is that each piece of the puzzle needs to be evaluated in it's totality. And decide if Jason Young is indeed perhaps the most unlucky man alive to have so many unfortunate bad coincidences happen on the very night his wife is violently murdered. Or if each of these coincidences are truly just that, coincidences.

I still think it's very unfortunate to have the Pinellas 12 trend that follow so much CSI and crime shows that potential jurors and even juries themselves need the same kind of drama and evidence that is routinely seen in FICTIONAL television shows.

Circumstantial cases are just as compelling as a case with actual videotape or pictorial depictions of a murder. Nor does it mean that a defendant in a circumstantial case is any less guilty than a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 who is videotaped shooting a store clerk during a botched robbery.

Its as though common sense in the Courtroom has completely vanished. And the Pinellas 12 are the norm rather than the exception.

Only if they knew ahead of time what the news would be. He was probably so relieved to be in mommy's care he finally relaxed.

Guess you missed Pat's statement about his clothes.
What do you suggest happened to his pullover seen at Midnight and not in his luggage or car the very next next day? You are spouting the defense questions, which were not at all effective, imo.
They have a major problem explaining this evidence (or lack of it). So far, all they can do is hint there was a SBI conspiracy to frame him by destroying evidence...lame
