ITA. Her voice in the background of the 911 call sounded animated, chatty and not at all drugged. The other thing I noticed in the 911 call was that she didn't call out to her mommy. She spoke about her, not to her. Most kids that age want mommy's attention and get upset if she doesn't respond.

I've used childrens tylenol, childrens advil, etc. and as a result even I got a good night's sleep because baby/toddler slept through the entire night. Never once did my children awake and seem drugged. Never one time. Even when I had to wake them up because we needed to go somewhere. They absolutely never seemed drugged. It is not strange that Cassidy wouldn't seem drugged and seems to be a non-issue in my opinion. Her not acting like she's on a pcp-induced trip is not evidence that she wasn't given one or both of the medications that were indicated in that dropper.

If the defense spends any time on that issue I will be surprised as it will seem almost desperate, especially in the eyes of any parent on the jury.

How in the world could the night clerk not notice the camera was out for almost 5 hours?

Most stairwell exits have alarms on them too .....

I think that Jason might have been cleaning himself up and not present when Cassidy woke up and began attending to her mommy. He comes back into the room to see Cassidy bloody and her little footprints everywhere, possibly having already placed the doll next to her. He suddenly has to come up with a way to get her back to bed and asleep. Cleans her off, puts jammies back on, takes her potty, forgets her diaper (because he is in a hurry and is irresponsible), gives her some meds that will quickly and safely put her to sleep, tucks her in and leaves. This would have been extremely late, so her it is plausible that she slept until 10 or later and was only awake for a brief time with her dead mother, whose blood has likely dried. Because her mommy looks scary, daddy is no longer there and mommy is not moving she hides in the bed. imo

Kids may metabolize things at a different weight, and the dosage may not be linear to body weight, - but please show me a drug that cannot be given to a child but that is safe for adults.

Not a drug that is just not recommended for children....

And what's the "magic" age that is does become safe?

"Can I give my child adult strength Tylenol® or Motrin® products that are not being recalled?

No. Consumers should not give drug products to infants and children that are not intended for those age groups. This could result in serious harm."

I'm a little confused about what medication it was - Pancol? Pancof? If its Pancof, what I read says that its not prescribed for children under 6. IMO, that makes it pretty easy to figure out a dosage amount for a 2 year old, IF you are already familiar with the medication, dosages, and know it's not going to kill a small child, convulse them, make them vomit, or any of the other side effects a completely unknown medication might have. And no, none of us would dose a small child like that either, but hopefully none of us would have the need to do so to cover up a murder.

There used to be a lot of OTC stuff to give sick children that would make them drowsy, Benadryl being the one I remember best. The kids would sleep it off and wake up either on their own or when you woke them. Nobody staggered around in a daze as if they'd been "drugged", and I don't recall my own kids ever being incapable of chatty conversation upon waking from a Benadryl nap. Even with a bad cold. It just made them sleep when they otherwise might not, like during the middle of the day. IMO, it's a bit melodramatic to insinuate that CY would have been in such a state and incapable of chatting to her aunt after having been given a dose of this stuff, especially if she'd had some hours to sleep it off.

If CY is leaning over Michelle .....:( and puts her doll there, how does she not get blood on her PJ's?

I don't think it's something he checked on often, if at all, as a rule, since it hadn't ever happened while he worked there. As a matter of fact it had never happened before per the manager on the stand right now. They had never had a problem with the camera being unplugged before.

Sorry what I have been referring to as Pancol is Pancof.

This is a good theory too. I also thought that maybe JY actually coached Cassidy saying "Leave your dolly with mommy, she doesn't feel good, now climb into bed and be really quiet because mommy needs to sleep because she has boo boos" or something like that...gives her the medications and Cassidy rolls over and falls asleep.

There is no testimony stating she was leaning over her mother.

Hey All! After seeing IS and since being a NC resident, I decided to listen on line and follow along with you all.

After seeing all the discussion with the 911 call, I found it and listened. Have to agree that I hear the little one say "Daddy did it"

Yup, all these strange occurances just happened to be on that night, *after* JLY checked in, and on the same night his poor wife was murdered. Never before and never after.

But, what is the point of having them if you don't check on them?

And, while a camera was never unplugged before, there was an incident where the same camera, in the same stairwell that was messed with , when someone was sneaking people into a party.

Oh for heaven's sake she wasn't given something that would STONE her, just make her drowsy! And we are referring to a time-frame of nearly 10 hours after she would have been given the medication. Most of that was probably spent sleeping! Of course she would not exhibit any symptoms of drowsiness after sleeping for 8 or more hours!

:waitasec:

because as it says in my post, that she placed it there the night before when she was running around with blood on her feet.....

She was cleaned after that point and put back to bed clean and likely with a hard core sleep aid

There is no testimony stating she was leaning over her mother.

How does she put her doll near Michelle then?

Maybe daddy offered to give the doll to mommy because mommy had boo boos.

As the EMT testified, the blood was already dry. He could tell by the amount of blood and the fact that it was already dried, that his victim was DOA.
