State vs Jason Lynn Young 2-7-12

So this random stranger got MY's car keys out of her purse to move MY's car, but didn't bother to take her wallet. They ignored the digital camera (doesn't look like a cheap one) nearby on the kitchen counter. The only thing stolen of real value was MY's wedding rings...off her fingers. Point of crime? Not robbery. Now who is it who likes to rip wedding rings off of fingers? Oh right...deja vu.

BTW, Mr. G. the dog didn't have an accident in the house, did he? I recall nothing said about this. I bet MY's slayer let him out to go potty. We now have a 'random' murderer who not only allows a 2 yr old to stay alive and well, but picks her up, take her to her bathroom, cleans her, changes her, gives her adult meds from a dropper, and also possibly lets the dog out to do his business. This random murderer happens to wear size 12 HP shoes with an orbital-type sole, just like JY.

That's some really nice brutal murderer there. Next thing I expect to hear is that this murderer cleaned the shelves in the fridge and picked up some clutter before nicely leaving and putting the garage door back down.

I am still amazed that it was not processed when they processed the home. MOO

Because by 3:30 that afternoon, Jason was pretty much their man.
And, with good reason.
He sure did a lot of things leading up to the murder, that could not have made him look more guilty if he tried.
He should have known all his phonecalls, texts, and emails and everything would come out,
Emails are easy to trace., btw........
And, sleeping with MM, how stupid was that?

IMO

I hope JY testifies again this time:cool:

Until I heard the state would be using video of his prior testimony against him, I would have thought for sure he would take the stand again.
Now, I say no way.

This is the first retrial for me, so I guess I am extra impatient.

Plus, it is a 5+ year case........

But, I am glad to be here with you all and watch you reach
your conclusions......

Some of these posters like Otto, MyBelle and Lynx are great with details.

I am in good company.

:)

So what is your opinion on the prosecution's failure to nail down a tiimeline that the camera went black? To me that is a pretty big detail since they managed to get so many snippets of Jason Young himself on camera.

Surely they could have nailed that timeline of the unplugged camera within minutes of the occurrence. Yet all of the hotel employee's were completely oblivious as to a timeframe on this incidence. But they reported it to Local LE, would the Hotel not be required to keep incidence reports?

Love to hear your thoughts on this.
:)

I agree, although I think I may throw up, to have to watch him fake cry again!!!

Cammy, do you think Cassidy was taken out of the house by an intruder (who killed the mom) & then brought back to the house? Why would the murderer risk that? I may be not understanding you.

TIA. You've been very good w/ supplying your opinions as to JY's possible innocence.

I used to think Jason was guilty in the beginning.

But, there has also always been something that did not add up, for me.

Then we finally got to trial, so many things we were told were not true, and so many new things came out.

I think that there was more than 1 person, I think that they may have called someone to help with cleaning up, and I think, or I hope, the phonebooth we heard about in the first trial, may come into play this time.

I also think MY's murder was not planned, and that she was killed for either fighing back or the killer(s) not wanting to be identifed.

I was in court today and while they replayed the 911 call, you can clearly hear Cassidy say Daddy. I looked up at the jurors to see if they noticed but they just kept on reading the transcript they were given.

Yep...

I was answering a post.

I had noticed the shoes sometime back and questioned that CY must have got up at some point to get them, as I doubt whoever put her to bed, gave her shoes to go to sleep with.....

A stuffed animal or a doll, ,maybe, but not shoes.

I also think she very well may have been taken out of the home for a few hours to calm her down, as you will later hear there were
cars there at a time that Jason could not be......

IMO

What do you expect a 2 1/2 year old to do? Of course she was up by that time Michelle's blood was dry. The shoes in the bed are not a big deal to me. It just shows she was up roaming around. They were probaly her favorite shoes just like the dolls.

Hey Lm, did you notice the racial makeup of the jury?

While I agree they focused in on Jason early on and probably with just cause with that nonsense with MM and all.

But there comes a point where 'circumstantial evidence' can work for the defense also. KWIM?

That. to me, was one of strangest things we learned today.

If I was Cassidy, I might think to my little self that having some shoes close by was a good idea too, given the state of the floor, given that having dirty feet the night before might have made someone very unhappy. Being unfamiliar with copious amounts of blood, I might not realize that it dries.

And if she got up in the night, carrying a doll with her, isn't it possible that someone snatched her up from there and she dropped the doll when she was removed from the floor? Couldn't the doll have fallen where it was found without CY positively wallowing in blood?

And if you've just murdered someone, and you're cleaning a child up and removing her diaper in the process, mightn't the process of replacing the diaper, fiddlying with those annoying little sticky tabs, be a bit fussier than what you've got time for, in terms of putting one back on her? Its 10 times faster to get a diaper off a wiggly kid than it is to put one back on.

Then they must have read the part where MF says Cassidy says someone was here.....

I wonder why that was kept on the d/l for the most part for so long?

Because, it doesn't fit in the puzzle?

Yes, it can.

The size 10 shoes, for instance?

If it was in the 911 call then yes. It was not made public until the last trial. If someone other than JY was in that home CY wouldn't be alive today, IMO.

Yes, it can.

The size 10 shoes, for instance?

Would that be considered forensic or circumstantial or both? Hmmm

IIRC, there was unknown DNA evidence that CCBI collected on the jewelry box or was that just unknown fingerprints? I believe that is in the Labcorp guys testimony. Hope he gets called again.

The rock is useless according to him, not even a close match.
