You are right.

See what I mean?

It can't be both ways.

Right now the only thing that camera tells me is that he checked in and came back down to the desk.

As of today Hicks and Morgan really can't even say that they remember him unless prompted by the camera segments.

That is what I took from the testimony anyway.

The time difference between when the night audit clerk said the camera was tilted (15-20 after it was plugged in) and the testimony from one of the investigators about the time stamp that it was tilted, bothered me. It didn't make sense that the night audit clerk was concerned 15 minutes after it was plugged in but he was wrong by an hour.

That's another plausible scenario...maybe someone intended to rape her but then she put up a fight and things spiraled out of control. That could explain why she was attacked but stuff wasn't stolen.

I was interested in testimony today that MY usually slept with the TV on, so maybe she did not hear them at first.....:(

Another thing we will hear is that she never ever never took off her wedding rings and they were worth a lot of money and they are missing.

Where are they?

That has pretty much always been the timeline, Lynx.

:what:

I understand.

Sometimes I make myself :floorlaugh:

It will be interesting to see what the investigator testifies to this time. I am anxiously waiting.

Otto,

I can't help but agree again.

Why 6 am when Jason was suppose to have purchased gas in King between 5:15 and 5:30 am?

Again that timeline.

The day after the murder, they specified 4:30 AM, then they expanded the time to 6 AM and stayed with that timeline. It's almost like their first time corresponded to Jason and then for some reason, they considered later times. Still, witness testimony regarding activity later than 4:30 didn't fit the investigator's theory so it was kind of ignored.

So, it was the defense who wanted the entire 911 call played again?

Wow.

That's my assumption based on the fact that the Judge asked the prosecutor if he could get it right this time.

You very well could be right.

According to Tikki Ingram there was quite a bit of activity that morning. Why could that not track down those who made purchases with bankcards in that time frame?

Same with the hotel guests.

Even if you think Jason killed Michelle, he had to leave the hotel somehow.
He didn't open a window and scale the building.

So,he either:
a) came down in the elevator with his luggage on wheels
b) clunked down the stairwell with his luggage on wheels

But, think of this.

Of , all the times that Jason would WANT to be seen on video, is in the am at the hotel looking normal, chatting it up with someone, so they could say,
"Oh, yeah, I remember that guy, we talked over coffee, he was a real
NC Pack fan, or something like that.

Plus, it would pad his alibi he came back to the hotel, which we know he did, cause he got his receipt.

Jason would have to be on tape that am, where is it?

Where is there any video of him that am?

IMO

Not addressed to me, but BBM.

I was very interested in this too! Took my mind back to Special Agent Karen Morrow's testimony about that impression in the bed. You know the one that Investigator's wondered if it could have been left by that knife?

Do you remember that?

:)

Thanks, Otto.
I love posting with you, btw.

Yes, I do, as a matter of fact.

Well it certainly does not have a smooth flow. And is very confusing to say the least. IMO.

Imagine hearing this for the first time and trying to make sense of it.

Maybe the rings are a "souvenir" of sorts - could have meaning to the killer if it was Jason or a known attacker. If the attacker was unknown, he/she could have just taken them because they were there.

The changing timeline from 4:30 to 6 was confusing mostly because I assumed that there was a forensic reason for police specifying that they were interested in the time up until 4:30 AM. Now we know that forensics weren't the reason for assuming the murder occurred between midnight and 4:30 AM.

This murder always reminded me of the Scott Dyleski case as well.
(Pamela Vitale Horowitz, <sp>)

Goth, overkill, maybe people watching Michelle and waiting for a night when Jason was gone.

Jason always parked his car in the driveway, as Michelle kept her car in the garage along with their boat,

So, Jason'a car is gone, and the fact the garage door opener was broken, the inside garage door leading to the kitchen
was always left unlocked.

You will hear MF testify to that.

ETA/ Jason had said he heard noises a few times behind the house, I think there was a trailer park there, and Michelle
was not happy about it.

I have never understood why they could not narrow the TOD down.

Is it true that no ME ever visited the crime scene?

I wondered today why the defense made a point of having the night audit clerk state that in his initial statement to police he first noticed the rock in the door when he was finished delivering papers - nothing about seeing the camera feedwas blank. His testimony during the first trial was different.

"He said during his shift, he noted one of the screens was blank for a surveillance camera. He went to fix the camera sometime between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m., but couldn’t reach it. He also noticed a rock was stuck in the exit door about four feet away."
