OMG - that article is really something else! I don't really understand why this woman remained friends with Steve Powell when she knew he had a huge stash in his house. Wouldn't that creep someone out?

But beyond that, I'm angry that she told LE all that and nothing was done for months and months. I'm thinking he must have told other people, too. There has to be more to this.

That's a prime example of why I have concerns about how LE handled this case in the beginning. But perhaps after a steep learning curve they are now heading in the right direction. They sure are stirring things up.

In this messaage he says that many (like himself) make it a cause to expose the LDS religion to the "unwary public." He is writing to the editor of a newspaper and goes on a rant about LDS.

In this message he indicates that JP and Susan married a year earlier, which would make the marriage in 2001. (Is that right?) He is very upset he was not allowed to attend the wedding because he did not obtain a temple recommend, which was required for the marriage celebration.
As part of this, he rants about he was the sole financial support for his son for nearly two decades, provided a home for him after divorce from his mother, filled the role of nurturing parent (b.s.), yet was barred from one of "the most important events of his life." He talks a lot about the sacred undergarment for LDS.

However, we still don't know that it is him. BUT, it does make sense that it COULD be him from what we know so far, so we'll let y'all discuss it. Just don't copy pics and remember that we don't KNOW it's him that posted. It could be someone else just trying to get attention. I'll let Tricia know about this and maybe she can find out if this looks like SP's handwriting, unless one of you sleuths it out first. :kimsterwink:

I can't seem to find the 9 page letter that SP wrote to the FBI..has anyone else seen it? I remember it said something about Steven Koecher having done some mission work in Brazil...and since Susan wanted to learn Portugese(which I haven't heard anyone else mention she wanted to learn Portugese??).....that must mean that they ran away together to Brazil where people speak Portugese...but I don't have a link.

It may very well be that they didn't ignore her. They may have had no ability to get a warrant or otherwise access what she reported. It was after SP pulled his stunts with the diaries and the awful things he said about Susan that they went after this stuff.

Trust me. In my own life, right now, I am sitting on a ton of evidence that equals multiple felonies perpetrated on children. The police and prosecutor (same prosecutor as the Powell case, I might add) can do NOTHING about it because the perps have rights to privacy. The police often quite deliberately IGNORE me when I find more and send it to them, but it's not because they don't care or are inept. It's because they can't look at it because of how I found it.

Yes, SK did his mission work in San Paulo, Brazil.

Just wanted to say GREAT WORK EVERYONE. It could be him. Stranger things have happened .
Haven't had a chance to read everything and study this. I will have lots of time on Thursday. Give me Thursday to dig into this and I'll let you know what I find.

That first page sure sounds like my theory, only change SK's name to SP. Maybe being kept as a sexual slave or sold into prostitution. also in one of his songs he mentions a sexual slave.

SP is the type of person that will defend himself in court because he loves to hear himself talk and this man has a lot to say. Clear deep hate of the Mormon Church, so much so it reads like he made it his mission in life to embarrass or be a pain in the butt for the LDS.
