I could see them both...JP just loosing it because he couldn't control Susan and felt the pressure of not standing up to SP's expectations, but SP is methodical, imo. Napolean complex for pappa to the T and willing to do anything to protect it.

BBM- Can you imagine SP waiting all this time, knowing at any minute LE was coming for him? Almost thirty days of torture while simultaneously doing those searches for Susan, he knew his goose was cooked and now LE had proof for a motive. It all makes sense in hindsight doesn't it?

Remember SP's girlfriend who said he told her about his "stash" in the locked closet? I bet she knew or suspected what he was doing. Was she the one who tipped LE off to all the pictures?

BBM Remember that he put the surveillance camera at the front door after the SW was served in August. I hope they go over every inch of that house, including equipment to see 'into the walls' and under floors. Nothing would surprise me about these powells anymore.

This is gonna sound pretty random, but does anyone know if JP or SP watched soap operas, specifically "All My Children"?

However, in 2007, she dies that day after eating poisoned pancakes that were meant for her daughter-in-law (Babe)

Every once in a Blue moon, we have what we call up side down day...we pick a Friday night, and we cook dinner for breakfast, and cook breakfast for dinner..

Its just something thats fun to do, my son gets a kick out of it lol

Wow!! Who would have thought that when I posted yesterday about hoping something big was going on behind the scenes that this would actually be the case. I am thrilled to hear that is behind bars!! Thank God also that those boys are out of that house!!!!

So, would there be any chance of the Coxes seeing the boys while they're in custody, do you think?

I really hope so; in the video of Susan's vigil in WA back in 09, josh was grabbing the boy's face so he wouldn't turn to look at his grandpa Cox. Heartbreaking. We may now know why josh didn't want the boys around the Coxes, he was afraid they would talk.

BBM..O/T..During Fall and Winter months I have on occasion, especially IF I haven't unthawed or prepared something for dinner...
In the South some people refer to the evening meal as being supper... I refer to evening meal as being the dinner meal...JMHO

Pancakes are a very popular dinner item. Was when I was a child and still is for many families. Breakfast for dinner.

I agree probably true about poison in the pancakes. But why? What did Susan know? I believe father and son are both complicit. Why?

As far as pancakes for dinner. We do every few months. I'm not a breakfast person. If I eat breakfast it is generally lunch time. Every now and then we make pancakes, eggs and sausage for our dinner. Just a few times a year but it tastes good after a long day at work.

Motive for JP was to keep the kids. "Over my dead body" was what he told her regarding this in the past. On the day of her murder/disappearance, JP had not gone to church that day. Susan had told a friend that if JP does not get more active in church by their April anniversary (so their temple would recommend him) she would divorce him. That was only four months away, and here JP is not with the program (thanks to a lot of coaching from dad.) They probably argued over this and it may have convinced Susan it was hopeless to get him active, and so she told him she was divorcing him. That would give him the motive to poison her and make it look like a missing person - so that he gets the kids.

With Steven Powell, the motive was fantasy driven. He wanted the control over her that she refused to give him. He wanted that body. But after a few days, he would want to be free of it.

I guess I'm missing out on the pancakes for dinner idea. I have never done it. It probably helps that it may have been a usual dinner item for them, so it means this did not have to be far ahead pre-meditated and orchestrated at all. He could have just added some poison to her pancakes in the skillet.
