Steven Powell arrested in Washington State

LOL this has all been anticipated and planned. SP gets arrested on Thurs and an attorney is ready to file on the kids on Fri? They knew it was coming and this has been carefully coordinated. So when Chuch Cox says "in anticipation of Josh Powell's arrest" I take it seriously.

Somehow I feel they did find something in that grave site. and the plans were put in place and coordinated to make sure the boys were kept safe.

I had the same thought. However, I can tell you from (painful) experience, as a lawyer it is entirely possible to prepare a set of motion papers overnite and have them in the courthouse when it opens in the morning.

Still, I tend to agree, this is part of a larger, carefully planned process.

I'm guessing "watch Joshy boy" is part of the plan. Wonder what he'll do...?

I tried to post this thought once and for some reason, the system locked up or my internet went wonky--so forgive me if this is a double post from me...and forgive me if someone already brought this up.

So Steve HANGS ONTO kiddie and proof he's a pervy kiddie voyeur and vouyer of Susan during a time he KNOWS law enforcement could potentially have reason to search his house? He couldn't part with it? Couldn't burn it on a camping trip, crack the discs in two and toss it into a highway reststop dumpster. He HUNG ONTO this stuff. With LE in his and his son's life on a chronic basis?

He likes his trophies. can't bear to part with them. Let's hope his penchant for keeping momentos extends to documentation that incriminates both himself and his son in Susan's disappearance.

It was his arrogance. He thought since the murder happened in another state and before JP moved in with him that his home wouldn't be searched. Plus he took LE around his home at one point and let them poke around. His was safely stashed in his locked closet so he could appear to be cooperative while still protecting himself. I would guess the search due to the warrant was a total shock to him.

Can't find the link...I have 20 windows open, but listening to KOMO. The Cox won the battle over the journals and is saying they are glad to know that Susan's feelings about SP has been confirmed. Paraphrased.

We should be seeing individuals coming forward now who will report that they saw SP (lol "Tom") doing something related. Peeking in their windows, or they felt creepy going to the bathroom in his home or something similiar.

It happens many times but doesn't get reported because the individual feels embarrassed and alone when it happens.

Pictures organized in folders labeled as things like "Taking Bath 1" and "Taking Bath 2." There are 2000 pictures of his two neighbors, aged 7 and 10. They are pictures and videos taken from his bedroom window, through his neighbors' bathroom window.

They say the police have informed the mother of the daughters, and that the woman broke down crying when told (understandable).

They are referencing charging documents. Is there any way we could get our hands on those?

The sequence of events is interesting. Short-handed it goes like this:

1) Search warrant obtained
2) Search of house
3) Search of Topaz Mntn, shallow grave discovered (this wasn't luck)
4) Arrest of SP

Steven knows where the body is, and I'm sure they will try to bargain with him to get this revealed. The Topaz search was based on knowledge obtained from his home. They didn't give the child info to WA police until the shallow grave was found. Then they wanted Steven Powell arrested. Now I think they will press him on the Topaz info, and demand to know where the body was moved to.

Steve Powell clearly comes across as a serial type A person. We don't have any evidence of the sort but just the few facts we know about his past. Has a deep hate for woman they are objects only and they should have no respect. Hates the Mormon Church which both of these extends way back to his childhood. He is very narcissistic in that he thinks he is untouchable. A person that must have control over every one and everything around him. He places himself as a "God"
