She didn't even seeing him spiking the punch. Even the interviewer said that her story is inconsistent with her own sworn statement.

Conveniently her mom is deceased and so is the cop She said she reported it to.

I pray you’re kidding, ocean? Am I misunderstanding something?

Brett has a VERY serious problem if the FBI is allowed to review the emails relating to Ramirez.

He swore under oath that the first he heard of R's allegations was when the New Yorker broke her story.

Whoops. The emails allegedly document that Brett himself contacted friends in JULY to try to get them to refute the allegations.

It'll be holy-moly time if that gets out. Oh, what a tangled web we weave...
I wonder if BK is worrying about this. And how's he doing at remembering who did what and when for him? That would make my head hurt...
And I wonder, too, how much does BK actually think about himself? Does he think he might be in trouble?

With his friends, it may just come down to whose azz do you love more -- yours or his? That's easy, IMO. It's one thing to lie to your friends, even your family -- but lying to the FBI and/or a Senate Committee is very heavy duty, and it comes with consequences. But -- there's also that famous line, "I don't recall."

Here, I have NYT link regarding the bar fight.

"NEW HAVEN — As an undergraduate student at Yale, Brett M. Kavanaugh was involved in an altercation at a local bar during which he was accused of throwing ice on another patron, according to a police report."
Kavanaugh Was Questioned by Police After Bar Fight in 1985

"I don't recall" isn't going to help anyone with their name attached to texts/emails, including K., especially when these written exchanges date back 3 months, at the most (as opposed to 36 years, lol).

Snipped by me.

I think BK is pissed off that he's scrutinized over stuff that happened so long ago. I'm sure he thinks it's idiotic to be questioned about a high school party and about high school yearbooks.

My guess is that he blames others for any trouble he's in and is not reflective about how he could've handled it better. A reflective man doesn't yell and behave at a congressional hearing like he did.

But I also think he'll get confirmed and he just might be right.

I'll try it again:

Terms of Service Violation

ETA: That blue print is what happens when I paste the link. If you click on it, it does bring you to the Bloomberg article.

It is weird, and I saw it happen once before with a Bloomberg article, It has nothing to do with WS. It's something the Bloomberg page does. [Their Terms of Service page: Terms of Service Violation ] I think maybe they don't like anything being copied from their page, including their link??? I really don't know why it happens with their site.

(Ha! I even got it with the screenshot!)

ETA:
If you go to bloombergquint.com you can usually find the same articles and they can be linked. About the bar fight: Kavanaugh College Visit to Bar Erupted in Fight, Classmate Says

Wouldn’t all this have come out somewhere in the past 6 FBI investigations? Top security clearances leave no stone unturned.
According to the quote linked above, one of the participants wasn't going to say anything about the drunkenness and belligerency until he saw BK denying it last week. I guess the hypocrisy got to him, imo.

The link and quote are upthread.

Thanks for that info. The New York Times used to not allow their text to be copied and pasted. It was a drag to have to retype the quotes, but it seems that has changed as I copied and pasted from NYT tonight.

I would like to know exactly how thorough and how far back these confirmation hearing investigations go? Because here we are now seeing the FBI being directed who to interview and for how long they can investigate. So how does anybody know how much of an investigation took place in the past?
