Drew appears in court today on gun charges. Perfect day to arrest him! I say 5 days tops, but today look real goodIt passed the House today!!!! I'm not sure if it requires another Governor signature, but I don't think so. Even if it does, it passed based on his ammendatory veto, so he would sign it immediately. It should be law instantly.
Arrest any time now....perhaps 6 days at the most in my opinion!

Oh no, I was hoping DP would go to jail for something til the hearsay law came into place. GJ, still on this or has it been done?
I'm still holding out hope that an arrest anytime between now and next Tuesday (4 days). Although I am wondering if the Grand Jury will need to meet one last time and I don't remember what day they meet.Sounds like LE has their ducks in a row and per Close's post, an arrest should be imminent or forthcoming! Now that hearsay bill was passed, LE has bigger fish to fry anyway or rather has a BIGGER FRYER for this same fishy suspect.

More Compelling Evidence
“The more compelling evidence,” the source said, “were the transcripts of the property settlement for the Drew Peterson, Kathleen Savio divorce.”
The withdrawal of charges today on the lesser gun charge seems to be a move to protect prosecution documents from the defense.
Really? Wow, two birds with one stone, 'eh? That would be way too cool if it were to come to fruitation. I would love nothing better than to see the both of them sitting in the slammer.Oh, yeah! I'd like to ad a little for those watching the Stebic case.
Seems old Craig Stebic may POSSIBLY benefit from the new law some are jokingly referring to as the DP law.....oh, wait, I mean.....
Yep! Lady Justice might be a little slow sometimes, but she gets down to business eventually.:behindbar

Like Passion, I was actually hoping he could be held on something too until indictment for murder could be prepared. Mainly because I don't believe those children should be living with (at minimum) a double murderer. I mean if he'd kill their mother, he hasn't the least concern for his children nor is this a safe or suitable home environment. Maybe you or Mysteriew know, where will these children be placed once DP's indicted and arrested? Hopefully, Stacy has family petitioning for custody? JMO
(bold mine) Good. That was probably a very wise move, and DP is going up the river anyway. Also, could someone be more explicit re compelling evidence of property settlement? TIA. JMO
So far no one has tried to file to get custody of the kids. Both Kathleen Savio and Stacey Peterson have family around but DrewP has pretty much limited how much they see the kids. I think the aunt that helped raise Stacey has seen the kids once since Stacey went missing. Cass saw the youngest one day when he was riding his bike, but when the child went to her DrewP called LE. All the family has said is that they want to keep all the kids together. DrewP has indicated that if he is incarcerated he will sign the kids over to his older son. (of course that is providing that there is no proof found that his son was involved)
At the time that DrewP and Kathleen divorced the divorce was actually split into two parts. The divorce was granted so that DrewP could marry Stacy but the property settlement was held till later. Kathleen was killed just hours before the property settlement was to be held. Not only would they have been splitting money and property but there was also a chance that Kathleen could have been granted a portion of DrewP's pension.
I don't see why the hearsay bill wouldn't come into this trial too. Allegedly Kathleen sent a letter to the then prosecutors office and she also left papers with her family re her fears that something would happen to her at DrewP's hands.
