If there was ever a case where "Follow the money" applies, it's going to be this one.
IF he forgot it , I am taking it with me , no crime intended but a girl got to get a meal. And she cant go home.

Per the Federal Press Conference on how the third attempt, in New Hope occurred:
  • VB parked in the street in the look-alike police SUV, down the street from the actual residence
  • Appx 2:36AM
  • New Hope police dispatched an office to conduct a wellness check on representative's residence
  • Officer saw VB's SUV parked at the scene down the block with the lights on
  • Upon seeing VB's vehicle, the Officer thought that another police officer had already been dispatched to the scene
  • Responding Officer pulled-up next to VB's car, rolled down her window, and tried to speak with VB. Officer says that VB didn't respond, simply stared straight ahead
  • Responding Officer proceeded to State Senator's home, waiting for other LEOs to arrive. By the time they did, VB had left the scene
So the real police pulled up to a car with police plates, was ignored by VB, and drove off? I have no idea if that's standard but you'd think the real police would have been alarmed that the guy in the other car ignored them. MOO

St. Paul, Minn. – Senator Ann Rest (DFL-New Hope)
released the following statement Monday.

“I have been made aware that the shooting suspect was parked near my home early Saturday morning. I am so grateful for the heroic work of the New Hope Police Department and its officers. Their quick action saved my life.

I am also thankful for the work of state and local law enforcement to apprehend the suspect before he could take any more lives.

While I am thankful the suspect has been apprehended, I grieve for the loss of Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, and I am praying for the recovery of John and Yvette Hoffman.”

The felony burglary trial of Sen. Nicole Mitchell, DFL-Woodbury, has been delayed after the assassination of Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman and the attempted assassination of Mitchell’s colleague, Sen. John Hoffman.

He sent a family text: Dad has gone to War.

Sent a text to his wife, saying he was sorry, that trigger happy LE would be showing up and he didn't want her there for that

Notebooks upon notebooks of hand written "intelius".
that is what gets me. He didn't say LE would be coming. He said trigger happy "people" would be coming. Never indicated police.

That is a big part of why I think it is not likely at all that his wife was clueless. If trigger happy "people" might show up at my house for unknown reasons I leave and I contact police. She did the first but not the second. Why not?

Can you imagine knowing that you and your family could have been the next to be shot?

E-bike….where did he get this thought from….Luigi?
during the manhunt for luigi there was also speculation about him using some kind of hyperrealistic mask! (which didn’t turn out to be true). i don’t know if that’s where he got the inspiration but i do think he’s been taking a lot of inspiration from previous cases or movies and fantasising about how he would commit the perfect crime (in his eyes)

And the 10k cash….who can get that amount of cash so quickly?
There was a report that he had emptied a bank account the day prior.

It obviously was not the perfect crime though

According to the PCA, he emptied an account that morning, after the shootings. To collect $2200, from which he gave $900 to Buick/ebike guy. Don't know if he drained a different account prior.

Dad goes to war just in time for Father’s Day. No. Gifts. Necessary.

could VB and his family be the kind of people who don’t trust the government/police/banks, as part of conspiracy thinking or a sovereign citizens group? or some other kind of fringe group? just thinking out loud

definitely not! VB probably thinks he’s very smart but he doesn’t really seem to be

i remember earlier reports said a father’s day card was found in his car. it made me wonder if he didn’t live with his children or they knew they wouldn’t see him on sunday. though tbh there could have been other reasons to give him his card early, jmo.

Sure is a slap in the face to his 5(?) kids. Think about the attention that will be focused on them and legacy he is leaving them.

According to the PCA, the person who sold VB the e-bike and the Buick rode a bus with him and rode to the bank with VB in the Buick. I think this explains why there was a report on Saturday night about VB, the Buick and a person of interest. It was rather unclear at the time. MOO

Decked out fake cop car, then on foot, then buys a car from a random guy, drives close to home, dumps the car, rides his new bike to...a field where he crawls commando style in soybean fields like a bad actor in a bad script he wrote himself.

It would be preposterously ridiculous except for the very real ammunition he used to mow down real people, who had every right to be safe in their homes -- safe, alive and stay that way.

What a fraud of a human being. Utter coward.

Regarding
Boelter was missing for nearly two days before Governor Tim Walz and law enforcement officials confirmed that they had arrested him in the woods near his home in Green Isle, Minn., on the night of June 15, per CBS News.
[snip]
"I love you guys. I’ve made some choices, and you guys don’t know anything about this, but I’m going to be gone for a while. I may be dead shortly," Boelter allegedly wrote. "So I just want to let you know that I love you guys both, and wish it hadn't gone this way. I don’t want to say anything more and implicate you in any way, because you guys don’t know anything about this. But I love you guys, and I’m sorry for all the trouble this has caused.”
Who Is Vance Boelter? What to Know About the Man Accused of Shooting Minnesota Lawmakers

I notice he didn't advise the roommates that he loved so much that trigger happy "people" would likely be showing up at their residence. And he didn't advise them to leave.

Just making note in the differences between messages received by roommates and those received by wife and kids. Seems as if the messages to friends/roommates are a bit lengthier and more detailed. But then I suspect the ones to wife didn't need to be because she already knew or suspected what was happening prior. JMO
I felt the same way when the news of what was found in her vehicle was published. She was fleeing somewhere - maybe to Canada.

But after learning they only detained and didn't arrest her, I thought it's possible she didn't know what he was planning or had actually done at that point. But due to his text message, felt it was something she had to run from. Whatever that something was, in her mind - was not LE, but someone else he had pissed off or done something too. By this time they had her cell phone information, it's how they found her. If he had told her anything incriminating, surely LE knows that by now.

Given the fact he was captured in the vicinity of their home. I also considered VB needed/wanted her to be out of the home, because he may have thought he could double back and either hide there or restock supplies. He couldn't freely do that if she and the kids are in the home.

Just not enough solid information in MSM to know what's true, and what's not at this point. I'm willing to give her the benefit of doubt, as the investigation continues. MOO.

She may not be a person who felt confident in her own decision making. She may have seen her husband as the one authority over her choices. MOO

Maybe there was illegal activity going on - where things are paid for in cash?
