Suspicious behavior of Haleigh Cummings father

Which leads me to believe he may have been trying to hang on to that van while Misty was trying to get away from him...No doubt in my mind something happened to Haleigh when he caught up with Misty that afternoon after she picked up Haleigh...What I do not understand is this.. WHY was he not arrested immediately if not sooner after they saw those bruises...JMO

TN and Ron both had an excuse ready. He punched a door when he found out Haleigh was missing. They even showed LE the spot. My question is: how do they know that spot was made than and not sometime before?

With regards to the changing of the clothes and shaving. He also apparently got a boil removed from his neck after Haleigh went missing but during the first few days. I don't know anything about boils so maybe it is something that needs to get treated asap but that has always been hinky to me. The bandage on the neck and the bruises/scrapes on the hands.

Whisp, that's what I heard, too. Never having secured a crime scene before, I don't know whether LE allows people to go in and get a change of clothes, but it appears they did, since Misty was also dressed when next we saw her walking arm around each other with Ron.

Boy I would like to know what she was wearing when 911 showed up that night. I just wonder if the clothes she actually had on that night were thrown in the dryer. I just didn't think she'd be smart enough to remember to put on her pajamas for when LE showed up.

I just thought maybe the cuts on his hands were from working his Aunt's tree-cutting business. He doesn't seem like the type to wear gloves. Don't know about the bruise.
Suspicious to me is telling Misty to bring a condom after the party weekend, even if he thought she was not a willing participant. That's all she was to him, a sex-party girl. She was there to babysit and fill his needs. The more he could get her to do, tatoo, mailbox rat, whatever, the more pumped up he felt. There was no love for her on his part. Never saw a sader guy than him at the wedding. He liked young girls because they would excuse his behavior and tolerate it.
But did she? I see her as capable of great rage that she could have dirrected at Haleigh. She can change her personality in a second depending on who she is with.

The cuts and bruises could have come from many places. Cutting trees, at work as a "crane operator", punching the door . . . BUT when someone goes missing and the person closest to them shows up with fresh cuts and bruises . . . well, I just hope and pray LE paid special, special attention to that.

Even if RC was at work the hours he stated, we don't know exactly when Haleigh went missing.

I was gonna say that earlier. She was only a baby sitter and bed buddy to him. Oh and probably a house maid (although a lousy one I'm sure). Sad but for Misty this was probably about the best she'd had it in her life. Ron was the gold standard she had reached in her world and she was d@mn proud of it. Misty is a walking anti-drug aadvertisment!! Forget the cracked egg in a frying pan commercial LOL

LOL, I know your pain. I'm logged out every ten minutes everytime I'm logged on. Adnoid suggested that I log out and log back on a few times to see if it cleared it up. I tried that several times. I still get logged out every ten minutes. I have to log back in several times during reading or posting. I'm almost use to it. Sometimes it is so aggravating I just quit before my blood pressure goes up too much. If I know that I'm going to post a long post, I type it first on word then paste it in the reply section. That way I'm not logged off in the middle of replying. As far as your post goes. I think you are getting on the same path as I have been for a year.

Try putting a check mark in the "remember me" box beside your name when you log on. You won't log out every 10 minutes. Took me forever to figure this out!! :)

I agree 100%....

Who was Ron working for before he met Misty?
Who was caring for his children?

Misty was just a means to an end....Babysitter, maid, g/f.....
IMO...Ronald's focus was on Crystal & DFC's opinion of him.
He did everything to keep the "perfect lifestyle" going.

To Misty, Ronald represented the "adult"...Job, house, medical benefits, etc...
He was a "way out"

I bet Misty was quite angry when Ronald told her he didn't want to have a baby with her. Taking Haleigh out of the scenario would have allowed for a baby.

We have never gotten a clear work history for Ronald, though we know he was not working for PDM for very long, still on his 90 day probation period. He got this job while dating Misty.

Before Misty was taking care of the children, Ronald was involved with Amber (friend of Nay Nay). We know that Misty posted on her MS page that she "got 'her' man and would get her son too." There was also a fight which included Chelsea C. and Amber's mother between Amber and Misty, that resulted in charges all around (Misty's were while she was a minor, so no details).

Misty was functional to Ronald, though his extreme need to get her back to the MH defies even function and goes into the obsessive realm.

I do believe that DCF was a constant bugaboo for Ronald, and I speculate that it has less to do with loving his children and providing them with a secure and loving home, than it does with the fact that each child was worth extra income. It saddens me to suggest that, since no one wants to believe it of any parent. But there is too much evidence with just this last charge of trafficking to suggest that Ronald has his child's best interests at heart.

I don't believe that Ron had a perfect household; he just had the perfect patsy in place. Once he found someone to take the responsibility for day-to-day living off his shoulders, he was off doing what he wanted. It isn't just academic to ask the question "Where were the children for those 3 days Misty was gone?" The answer to that provides great insight into Ronald Cummings. Were they exposed to his obsessive need to contact Misty while she was gone? Were they subjected to his temper when he couldn't find her? Were they shuffled off to someone else to be watched while he was consumed with this desire to find her? Did he just set his needs aside and tend to theirs?

Whatever else Misty perceived her relationship to Ron was, the one thing I am sure of is that she was just another utensil for him. I also agree that Misty was jealous of the attention the children received that did not come her way. Afterall, a utensil is only taken out and used when needed. True affection isn't given. Even as thick as she is, I bet Misty figured that one out.

Thanks but I always put a check mark in the box. Still logged out every ten minutes. This Web site is the only one where I have this problem. I'm stubborn, so I just keep logging back in.

Hadn't thought of that before... I guess the question is-how desperate was Misty to have a family/home/relationship? IMO very very desperate. I still don't think she hurt Haleigh but who knows...

debs: Great post!

I always felt Ronald wanted the children for extra financial support.

And, yes IMO Misty was jealous of the attention the children received.

What could have transpired that led up to Misty leaving for 3 days?

In all the MySpace pages of Misty's friends/relatives it's like a code of honor to have a child or two...(and not be able to financially afford them)

One would certainly think and hope so, but who knows what LE has done or hasn't done in this case...
IIRC.. He was threatening, that night, to kill whoever stole his daughter with his 9mm beretta.. To my knowledge LE never confiscated his gun...I don't recall reading any gun/s being seized on that police report..JMO
.

I haven't seen any documentation that LE took any weapons either. When he was arrested for the assault on Tommy, LE took extra precaution due to knowledge that Ron usually had a weapon on him or close by. I'm a bit concerned that LE did not investigate Ron fully when they started the Haleigh investigation. It appears that all attention and focus was on Misty and only Misty for the last year.

Well supposedly Misty showed Ron a positive pregnancy test and said that it was hers. Ron rolled her up in a ball to try and abort any baby and threw her out. Thus, the three day drugs, sex, and drinking binge. I don't think she had a choice to leave on her own. She was thrown out.

I use Internet Explorer. I've cleaned out all cookies, Caches, History, started over clean...............nothing. Thank you for the appreciation for my posts. I can't seem to get away from Haleigh's thread. These people make me so angry and frustrated at times. I check in every day that I'm at home which is most of the time. I get a bit pi**ed at times and have to take a "short" break, sometimes I am put on "break" too, LOL. This is the only site that I have this problem with, :waitasec:

Oh Adnoid has already looked into my problem and I tried all remedies but to no avail. Adnoid was a bit puzzled too. I guess I'm just "special". LOL.
