TX Suzanne Clark Simpson missing in San Antonio, last seen by friends at dinner - 6 October 2024 *Arrest* #2

He could have been far from a major road when he put the bucket in the truck. So it may not matter which side of the truck the bucket was placed. If he had to carry her any distance to his dump site, he could have been out of breath, and after mixing up the concrete he could have decided to try to drive it closer so he wouldn’t have to carry the 50+ pounds as far. The splash marks could have been from driving over rough terrain trying to get closer. Who knows, wish they would find her.

Which means he remains could well be in an area LE and canines already searched.

It also smacks of premeditation too. I had to search for info on it to figure out why the BUG spray. Turns out citronella and deet throws off a dogs ability to smell. The movie - the mule - w Clint Eastwood as the old guy drug smuggler made me think of how to throw off the dogs. I changed my thinking from repelling bugs to repelling dogs.

Anyway for him to know this stuff he had to have researched it early on . No way in the heat of emotion he was clear headed enough to research this unless he had prior experience w hiding bodies or researching how to commit such a crime and hide his deeds and victim. Total monster.

BTW, here's one tip related to the concrete residue (which the affidavit wrongly refers to as "cement splashes", since Quikrete is technically concrete, not cement). The affidavit points out these splashes/residues were found "in the rear passenger compartment". IMO, this suggests Brad likely returned to the passenger side door of his black pickup truck AFTER having mixed and poured the concrete. Along with the fact that he drove and likely parked on the right side of the road, this suggests that Suzanne's body is, for both of these reasons, likely located on the RHS of a nearby road.

Say, for example, if Brad turned north on to Peaceful Valley Rd from TX-16 and then stopped his truck on the right-hand shoulder (say just short of that 1-lane bridge over the Medina River as visible in Google StreetView), then he is more likely to have done the burial on the right side of that road. But this same logic works no matter what road he used, just before parking the truck (TX-16, Highland Dr, Peaceful Valley Rd, etc.). In all cases, it's more likely that he would pull to the RHS (to be aligned with traffic when he parked) and it is also consistent with that idea, that the spent Quikrete bag and/or dirty Home Depot bucket went back into the truck on the passenger side, so he never needed to cross the road and potentially be seen carrying these suspicious items. In summary, it means on roads going to the west (like a lot of TX-16), more searching should be done on the north side of the road. Similarly, it means on roads going to the north (like a lot of Peaceful Valley Rd, for example), more searching should be done on the east side of the road.
Texas 16 is a very busy road

I never listed TX-16 exclusively. I gave a list of roads (most of them off of TX-16, including quiet and definitely-not-busy ones, and ending in "etc.", so take your pick among those. I said it looks like Suzanne's body was likely hidden to the right of where the truck parked, no matter what road Brad took, when he stopped. Whipping a U-turn just before stopping or off-roading the truck before stopping looks conspicuous and raises suspicion, so my guess is that Brad did neither or, if he did the U-turn, then he did that after the disposal. Yeah, and that definitely matters. It reduces your high priority search area by a factor of 2, which is major.

NEW: Brad Simpson, husband of missing Olmos Park mother Suzanne Simpson, has been indicted by a grand jury.

The case is now in Judge Velia Meza's court. I have reached out to her coordinator to verify whether Judge Meza will hear the writ on Dec. 9 as previously scheduled to be heard by Judge Miguel Najera, who presides over preindictment court.

SAN ANTONIO — Brad Simpson, the Olmos Park man suspected of killing his wife, Suzanne Simpson, has been indicted on several charges – including murder – by a Bexar County grand jury two months after police started searching for her.
Brad, 53, was also indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing injury, tampering with a corpse, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a prohibited weapon. He faces anywhere from two to 99 years or life in prison if convicted, depending on which charges he's found guilty of.

Brad's legal team had asked for an examination hearing that could have resulted in his release from prison depending on a judge's findings. That stage will likely end in light of the grand jury's decision.

... now that Simpson has been indicted, the examining trial is off the table.

However, it's unclear if his attorney will still press for the hearing on bail amount and conditions of bail.

We did reach out to Judge Velia Meza's Court, and staff advised us that the writ hearing that had been originally scheduled for December 9th has been canceled.

Simpson’s brother, Barton Tinsley Simpson, went on social media Tuesday to urge Brad to cooperate with authorities.

“We urge Brad to do the right thing by fully cooperating with the authorities,” Barton said. “For the sake of his children and the family who loves him, we ask him to accept responsibility and place himself at the mercy of the court.”

As one human to another, I am very proud of BTSimpson!
Wish many more were like him.

It’s possible that when Brad called Bart that first time to apologize he said more than we have in the affidavit . Which is good. It’s unfortunate for Suzanne and the kiddos that the family didn’t come to their side long ago. Seems like the family was aware of Mr. Violence.

What was the weapon he used when he assaulted her at the house?
I believe this is related to the assault charge in the domestic violence affidavit. So, I'd guess the "deadly weapon" refers to Brad's hands (or maybe Brad's arms and hands). In the dv affidavit (where this charge was just a misdemeanor), he allegedly used these to strike Suzanne in the face and to allegedly push Suzanne into a wall, both in their Olmos Park home. Here, in the indictment, the charge is upgraded to a felony, but my guess is that it is based on the same incidents. BTW, it raises the chance that prosecutors will have their 5-year-old daughter testify at trial.

About a half hour ago, KSAT mentioned in the story linked below that a reciprocating saw is mentioned in the indictment, so keep your eye on that too.

I surely hope it was to cut brush to conceal her . The children do not need to have that in their heads the rest of their life.

ohhhh… so… I wonder if he transported her body wrapped in the blue tarp to his Bandera property. Cut her up and put her in the 4 missing Home Depot trash bags and dumped her in a dumpster in Medina (and I forgot who it was, but someone on here narrowed down a specific dumpster in Medina like weeks ago). Maybe the bucket with cement was to hide the blade that he used and tossed it somewhere. (All of that is speculation)
