I wish we knew how big an area this is. She could have possibly gotten away from him, gotten lost been injured and passed away.
It's approximately 70 acres, but surrounded by homes and highway with a road going through it. I don't think she would have gotten lost

She says her fondest memory of her sister was that their dad used to call Suzanne Jesus. That's because both her parents said she was just such a joy to be around. Teresa says this has been obviously most difficult on Suzanne's 4 kids who continue to pray for their mother's safe return.

On Friday, Nix Realty, the company that Simpson works for, released the following statement as the search for their beloved coworker remains ongoing:

TEXSAR brings advanced equipment, technology, and resources to aid in the search efforts, and the search will now focus on the wooded areas in and around Olmos Park, according to the post. Gates near Devine Road remain closed at this time.

Olmos Park Police Department Chief Fidel Villegas told KSAT late Saturday morning that his department or the Texas Department of Public Safety will provide results of their search for Suzanne Simpson at a later, undetermined time.

Villegas also said OPPD does not have any further comment at this time.

Saturday afternoon, Suzanne Simpson's sister Teresa Clark spoke to the media for the first time. Clark read a statement on behalf of the Clark family, that was in part prepared by Chelsea, Suzanne's oldest daughter.

"Suzanne was a beloved mother. She was an incredible person. We want everyone to know that we are devastating by the loss of my sister I am here to be a voice for my sister," said Clark.

When I scrolled up, it said that there was already a plan to search more of the wooded area around Olmos Park… so, I wonder if the vultures that I saw belong to the Texas Search and Rescue team and they released them to help them out? ‍♀️

do they do that??? I had no idea! first time I've seen mention of it

No idea. I tried to google it, but the results kept coming up that cadaver dogs are used and about how awesome they are at finding buried humans. I was just able to sit down and look at a Google map to see if the search was happening where I saw the vultures… and it wasn’t (but, it was semi-close). I’ll try and upload a picture. The red dots are where the vultures were (1 was perched a top a street light close to the UIW school) and the other 2 were circling overhead on the other sides of the freeway. The search are where they were today is circled in blue

I agree she would not have likely gotten lost. Possibly disoriented in the dark. I searched the area of the woods near Suzanne’s home last Monday morning. I concluded it would have been very difficult to run through those woods in the dark. You would probably fall and get hurt due to the dense growth and uneven terrain. If BS killed Suzanne very deep in those woods it would have been very difficult, especially in the dark, to carry her out.

Is the blue circle above the wooded area behind their home ?

Her home is at the intersection of E Olmos Dr and Contour Dr. The woods begin across the street from the front of her home. The area of the head water of the San Antonio River according to Apple satellite maps. The SA River bed is a 90% dry ravine at this time due to a drought, with a few pockets of shallow standing water.
The blue circle area is about a quarter mile from her home. I don’t understand searching the blue circle area unless LE has info that has not been made public. Hopefully they have lots of info not made public.

Indeed, from all of the landfill searches I've read about here on WS, I can't remember one so short and so @MassGuy s post struck me as odd in that way. As if almost the investigations shifted for a specific reason,. We shall see hopefully soon.
We are 1 week shy of Sebastian Rogers (age 15), 8 mos missing from Hendersonville, TN. LE searched locally for about 5 days, then searched a landfill for 1.5 days - saying they were ending the search to focus on the investigation. About 3 mos out they re-searched with “fresh eyes”. Nothing pertaining to Sebastian has ever been found. No one has been charged in his disappearance.

I haven't read all the posts here yet.
But
I can't believe a neighbor saw him hit his wife and then heard screams coming from the woods and DID NOT CALL 911.

That is frightening. Another man did not see any of this as "concerning behavior"? Is this true?
It is my understanding.
But this house I live in I bought from a couple who were in a DV marriage. The neighbors all knew it and did nothing. He even broke her arm or so they thought. Wife said she fell.

Where I'm from you just don't meddle in other's business unless asked.

Having said that this is way beyond staying out of it. Especially when you can call anonymously. I would have called in a welfare check. But I didn't know that was a thing until a couple of years ago when my crazy ex kept calling for welfare checks because she thought I'd been kidnapped and was being held hostage by my brother and his motorcycle club.

Definitely a welfare check was needed.

Here’s the ENTIRE interview with Suzanne’s sister. It helps put a lot of things in better perspective to hear it in its entirety.
It explains her dad calling Suzanne “Jesus” - which didn’t make sense in print but makes sense when you realize he was using the Spanish way of pronouncing Jesus as “Hey Suz” - so saying Hey Suz and nicknaming her Jesus- a play on words.
Her sister does a nice job in the interview.

Just seeing Pommy Mommy and I were on the same track as I’m scrolling up….
She beat me to it!
All IMHO

The other one that I listened to is her mom's full conversation -

<modsnip - quoted post was removed (no link)>

Curious if Brad had been isolating Suzanne from her own family ?

It's happened before now, in other cases I've followed.
Omo.
