Simpson’s tie to Boerne and Kendall County include a brother, Barton S, who lives in the area.

The brother-in-law released a statement via Facebook this week: “Our family is devastated by the disappearance of our beloved Suzanne. We are doing everything we can to fully cooperate with law enforcement, and our first priority is to find her and bring her home,” Barton S posted.

I absolutely don’t want to make light of a serious situation…. But I just can’t help but think the brother/bro-in-law is Bart Simpson. Sorry everybody! I’ll exit the room now…

To ask a question to my own post :)
13 October is Sunday.
But it is reported he has Court appearance that day.
Simpson, 53, remained at the Bexar County jail Friday on bonds totaling $2 million, after being arrested in Kendall County Wednesday on charges of family violence and unlawful restraint.

He is scheduled for a bond hearing Tuesday morning at the jail’s auxiliary court, records show.

IMO with the scope of the investigation, the likely nature of the crime involving SCS, and other possible enhanced charges, I hope that the bond is enhanced and raised.

IIRC up thread one MSM article describes BS as ‘wealthy’. Possible flight risk too. IANAL. Where is that fingers crossed emoji? MOO

Update on Saturday, October 12, at 10:39 a.m.:
The search for missing mother Suzanne Clark Simpson in the Olmos Park Basin area has ended, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). Law enforcement and search teams are now focusing the search for Suzanne solely in Boerne.
That headline made my heart drop for a minute, I thought they found her! I wonder if new evidence has came to light? Soley in Boerne ... witness, camera video, phone or Vehicle GPS leading them there?

Fortunately there's also a federal hold, so even if he were to somehow post bond he wouldn't be getting out.

I read on Twitter that even the US Marshall’s have him on a hold so if he was able to make bail, they would be alerted right away. That leads me to believe that they did have some evidence to him possibly fleeing or having the means to flee.

The Feds want him for something else, but we don't know what it is. Because it's the ATF that is investigating him, my guess is that they found something like automatic weapons, or explosives or something.

JMO, Brad Simpson will not be as lucky as Barry Morphew. His Suzanne is going to be found shortly and he'll be prosecuted for her murder.

This was super sloppy, because it clearly wasn’t planned. It’s only a matter of time.

He doesn't have to be smart, or a planner. Just lucky.

I would have expected Mamta to be found by now, but she hasn't been. And her killer did just about everything wrong.

I hope for Suzanne's sake that her killer is not lucky.

Naresh had a great deal more time to work with than this guy though. He was likely able to dismember her body and place it in multiple trash receptacles during that time. This guy had no such luxury.

Well, Samantha Murphy, then. Don't know if you're familiar with that one.

Some killers get lucky. It sucks.

I hope Suzanne is found, and I think there's a good chance she will be, but sometimes, the bad guys win the toss. I know it's a downer to bring it up, but it happens.

Not going to happen in this case, just a gut feeling.

These are the circumstances I want if I was looking for a body.

A small time window, the probability that he had his cell phone on him at the time, a vehicle that likely has tracking technology (telematics), and a rushed/panicked state of mind.

I’m not familiar with that case, but if it had similar elements then I’m surprised she hasn’t been found.
