What about these wells a poster mentioned upthread? Doesn't this creep have some knowledge or business with wells?

I hope you are right that they shifted for a specific reason!

I remember a really short search- Republic Trash Services landfill in Arlington Texas when Kaytlynn Cargill’s body was recovered two days after her disappearance.
Great police work.
Obviously the quicker they search the greater likelihood of success
(but only if the body is actually there.)

I can’t think of any long landfill searches personally other than the three week search for Jennifer Dulos or items associated with her disappearance at the Hartford CT trash facility which turned up nothing. They probably didn’t have 25+ people searching there though.

I’m convinced that 25+ people have looked through all the probable trash at the SE Bexar County landfill. That’s a lot of “man/ people hours.”

Just IMHO
A recent case that came to mind was that of Anna Walshe in MA; but IIRC it might not have been a landfill searched, rather a refuse transfer station? MOO

I thought about Anna too. They never found her but did find her purse and bloody tools at the trash facility. They found a bone fragment at her house. Her husband is a monster.
Too many monsters!!!!
Poor Suzanne.
Grateful that my man is a saint. Counting my blessings daily.

It is horrible watching the claw pick up heaps of trash from the dump and drop them down on the ground while searching for Suzanne- day after day…..
Honestly that husband of hers is a terrible coward.
How he can do this to his 4 children and extended family and her friends is beyond me.
He’s a very ugly person to not allow his wife of 22+ years to be properly laid to rest.
Narcissistic sociopath?
I can’t imagine her putting up with him and all he put her through these past years before killing her.
All IMHO
bbm
She did it for the children, I'm sure. SMH.

Maybe LE got a lead taking them in another direction.
Hoping we learn something soon.
Wow, I’m surprised they called it off so quick. Something led them to search there. If it was gps, maybe he got rid of evidence in a dumpster, but not Suzanne’s body.

I often wonder how someone can just sit in a jail cell keeping their damn mouth shut. He could end all this in seconds, but chooses not too. How does that not eat him alive?

I mentioned this before:

Check water wells. My understanding is he worked for a well drilling company.

Just a hunch.
Excellent idea, Argonaut.

It really does. I’ve seen landfill searches go on for many weeks.

The only thing I can think of is that they narrowed down where trash from a particular location would have gone, enough to fully check it all.

Even so, it seems unusually fast to call it quits.
Hoping they found something that will lead them to where she might be found -- or that they found something that they need to test to see if it has to do with Suzanne. SMH.

There was one from an older woman in Australia sometime in the last couple of years… I followed here but of course cannot recall off the top of my head. But they seemed to have good evidence she was at the landfill and searched for at least a week but maybe longer, if I remember correctly. I will try to find and edit my post.

ETA - Lesley Trotter; they searched landfill approximately from April 21-May 10 of last year, and unfortunately never found any evidence. Of course, circumstances weren’t super similar to Suzanne’s disappearance. For one, a couple of weeks had passed from day she was last seen to when they started searching the landfill, but just providing as another instance of a landfill search. Police suspend search of landfill site for missing woman Lesley Trotter's body

The search for Kelsey was estimated to take 35 days but lasted almost two months.

Duke Flores - eight weeks.

:(

He's got to know he is in Big Trouble, but he just doesn't give a flying damm about anyone except himself. JMO. Grrrr.

Ugh, I was a bit worried about this. He didn’t have a great deal of time, and a dumpster, although risky, wouldn’t be the worst option in the world.

They don’t just search landfills, as it’s dangerous and costly.

At least we’re not talking about months later, so they should have a good general idea of where sheet might be.
When I heard a phone pinged near a strip center I immediately thought about dumpsters.

Not surprised that a landfill is being searched.

Because he has no soul.

I’m hoping she’s found soon.

I think LE should be careful with their media statements & messages to the family - this really felt like they were 100% certain she would be found there. Now it seems to be back to square one.

My thoughts are with her family.

My regrets if this article already posted. Been wanting to follow this case, but haven't been able to follow as closely as Id like to.
Hope Suzanne is found soon!

Just wrapped up day four, feel free to join us on the thread! There aren't many of us but we're all very nice!

I think Suzanne has a very high chance of being found. They seem to know where to look, and to be blunt, I don't think he had time to dismember her, so she's likely fairly intact, even after trash compactor/graders. She's also an adult, so her remains, even if they are fragmentary are much, much larger than Quinton's, and even Quinton, though he was almost completely skeletal, they found large skull fragments and most of his long bones, after six weeks. If they find her sooner than that, she's going to be more intact and easier to see in the search.

MOO
Thank you, and I will pop over there! And I think you're right about them finding Suzanne.
