so I have just started following this case, and reviewed the arrest affidavit

Why do we think she is in water if he went to the waste site he inquired about? Because of the tight timeline, and of course the cement and bucket?

Because the tarp (that is assumed to be surrounding her body) is still present in the trunk after he left the waste site (but, the trash bags were gone)

He went to the site at 46 Spanish Pass Road in Boerne, and video surveillance shows him driving away. Two trash bags were gone, but the tarp, garbage can, and firewood rack were still in his truck. LE may have thought the garbage bags were too small to contain her, so she must have been under the tarp - and he kept moving around.

That’s just my thoughts on why they may think she’s not at Spanish Rd. Others posters on this thread are amazing, with well maps, lake depths, instructions on cement mixing, and tons of local geographic info - so I will look for others to weigh in with their perspective.

ETA: Maybe this sign saying 24 hr video surveillance scared him off.

"Law enforcement has multiple tools that, it's not foolproof, but oftentimes they can get past the lockdown mode," he explained.

"Most phones are set to auto backup, and if it was an iPhone for example, it would be stored in the cloud, iCloud. If it's an Android, it'll be stored in Google Drive. Well, they can get a search warrant for those backups. And if they're not encrypted, it's right there. They have all the data," he said.

This is a zoomed in picture of the Rock Cliff dam… I’m guessing that he hid her body in the trees and then came back to carry to the edge and threw her in (maybe with help).

BS bought two bags of Quickcrete.

According to the affidavit one bag of Quickcrete was found at the Simpsons Olmos Park residence, along with the gray heavy-duty trash can and the metal fire wood rack.

That would mean that BS only used one bag of Quickcrete for what ever purpose he purchased them for.

The five gallon bucket is missing.

According to google you need roughly 10% of gross body weight to keep submerged. So the fifty pound bag plus water and bucket would be over sixty pounds total. This is surely what BS did, but where?!!

There are also private properties backing up to the lake/reservoir that he could have accessed.

Maybe the cement and five gallon bucket made a 'cement shoe' for the corpse? Then feet first down a water well after the Quikrete had cured. Or any body of water for that matter.

The damn is located on private property. All of that area is private property and most likely fenced and gated. It's not uncommon for property owners to damn up a creek like that to create a bigger water feature. I doubt there is much, if any, water currently in there. We're in a severe drought.
