Okay, just WOW.

1. I can't stand AB. She sounds like Cindy with a law degree. And KS played the part of George. Sheesh. I swear, I could just SEE AB squeezing his leg to get him to either not talk or say what she wanted him to say. I wonder if she rubbed his back, too.

2. LOVED LDB explaining to AB that AB can't participate. Good Lord, you'd think she just wanted to have a blanket objection to everything and not let KS say one word.

3. LOVED that AB did not want to put in the same category as AL. That cracked me up. Sorry AB, you could be her twin. I about gagged when she said she wanted her own category. Whatever, AB, in your dreams.

4. AB also had a complete mistrust of the prosecutor's office. If I didn't know better, I'd think she was part of Casey's defense team. Is it common for defense attorneys to hate the SA? I wouldn't think so, but sheesh, she seemed to be convinced that the SA was out to get KS, a small, tiny fish to fry in the parallel investigation that's not connected to Casey's case. Lord.

5. Dang, the volleying going on was worse than watching a tennis match. I think I hurt my neck with the rampant back and forth. Good Lord were both AB and KS dancing and dodging like idiots! AB especially came off as really unprofessional. I so wanted her to just SHUT UP.

6. I loved that they seemed shocked that what Joe Jordan said was public record. Wow that was fast for KS to FINALLY start talking, and AB to shut up somewhat. So much dodging and probably lying before that, and then wait, he went public? Oh Crap. Now we're talking, SA! LOL.

7. Well guess what AB and KS, THIS INTERVIEW IS PUBLIC NOW and you both look like FOOLS. Wow, slime on top of slime on top of slime in this case! They both should really start acting more professional and less like outright jerks with something to hide. And KS, seriously, be a man and talk for yourself instead of looking whipped by your female attorney!

That was a tiring read. I think I'm done for the rest of the day...and who was CM, by the way? I'm assuming that wasn't Cheney Mason.

It doesn't really matter what the defense can get some troubled, easily discredited witness to say. The pictures don't lie.
O/T Does anyone know what these documents were that the Anthonys weren't handing over? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlC3Gq8N9Rs[/ame]

Was the document the state wanted from the Anthony's the contract with the news station discussed here? News to me. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc1c0d-o5Ko[/ame] Did Baez have a part in this too?

IMO it's becoming more and more clear that this team has NO defense! For all the BS they have and continue to spew about the innocence of their client, they have nothing at all to actually present to back that up!

In defense of the attorneys in KS's depo KS has the duty to not reveal attorney/client priviledge. The points were made because the questions were asked with LE already knowing the answers because they listened to the tape. I believe they knew KS would not answer many of the questions but it was a matter of them getting the questions put on the record. Whether AB objected to the questions or not, LE were able to ask them and now they are public record. For those of us who want to know what is going on....it's a gift. lol Now back to sleuthing because some things are still just too confusing. Good work guys.. and that includes you, too, LE, SA and everyone who wants to see justice served in this case. Brings new meaning to the song, "You are my Sunshine (Law), please don't take my Sunshine away." jmo

Do you think its just too complicated for them to report on and so they all took a pass?
I know I am not giving them much credit but geez, it is a very complicated thing to follow. More than once I was spinning in circles.

Also, I noticed KS mentioned that he thought LDB would get a court order to compel his testimony, and it is not that he does not wish to cooperate, he just wants to do it in a way that wont scare off future clients that he cannot respect A/C privilege. (my inference)
Indeed she will ask for a hearing on the matter and I believe she will get exactly that. These are just perfunctory steps, everyone at that table knew, we are going to ask, you are going to object to make a record and then we move on to step B. Eventually, much like Dominic Casey, he will indeed give his testimony, imo.

Oh, I totally understand that. But AB wouldn't let the SA or LE get two words out before objecting. And KS just sat there like a lump and let her do the barking for him. I understand protecting himself, you'd just think he and his attorney would be more professional and respectful about it. That's what I didn't like. It was, Ooh, you're out to get him, but I'm not going to let you! AB was like a shark. She didn't need to be that way. Thankfully the SA and LE have the patience of God with these people. And yes, they knew they weren't getting much answers if any answers at all. Lord, I could tell part way through, it was like SHUT UP AB and let us get this on record and get it over with! Only they said it in far nicer terms.

When one of the news stations covers this Brad transcript, someone post it please. So far...crickets

www.orlandosentinel.com

I did think it would have been put up by now. If it's not covered by the end of the day I think we can assume Conway has some deep friendships in the community. He did run for Judge as I recall. Or was planning to. I believe even contemplating such a run implies he's fairly well connected, or respected, or so he was.

As I go over it in my mind he has been well-treated by the local press overall. He said there was no duct tape. He said George had no involvement with River. He said so many things and was never really questioned or challenged. His Anthony "press releases" were regurgitated without much investigation or editorial comment.

As a side note, it's astounding the way attorneys can blatantly lie to the media and the public. It's one thing to skirt around the truth I guess, but this case just beats all.

I ask this question with no snark ... is there coursework in "obfuscation" when you're attending law school? They're just so good at it I have to wonder. Maybe these attorneys are just built that way and if they hadn't chosen law as a profession they would have done something else to put their lying skills to good use. How do you become a professional liar overnight?

Andrea Black opined on the Anthony case.
http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2010-04-21/news/os-casey-anthony-belvin-perry-20100420_1_stan-strickland-chief-judge-janis-williamson/2

"There are no excuses for not meeting deadlines and not being prepared," said Orlando defense attorney Andrea Black, who has tried murder cases in front both judges Black.

Tee hee, and look who's quoted just above her:

" "He's direct. He's efficient. He's not interested in, or affected by, publicity," long-time Orlando defense attorney Kelly Sims said. "He's funny and engaging off the bench, but he's absolutely no-nonsense on the bench." "

Your gut instincts, your initial reaction...my Gram used to tell us, "That is God talking to you". Aedrys, you have it spot on. IMO...
She was showboating for the inevitable very public release of this depo transcript. She knows the clips will be played and discussed locally, on Headline News, Geraldo, Greta, and even our friends across the pond will opine on it. You cannot buy that type of advertising.

She knew, if she just politely stated her objection the result would be the same. It was understood from jump. They all knew he didn't bring a lawyer there to answer, he brought a lawyer there to not answer, so everyone knew they just had to go through the motions. It is done all the time, as a matter of formality. She was playing for the media, I feel certain of it. There is no other inference one can draw. Guess what? It worked; because by noon tomorrow, everyone will know her name. You see how that works?

She also wanted to get it out on the public record that she has a disdain or disregard for Mrs. Drane Burdick. That is a whole other show. Mrs. Drane Burdick let her tell on herself, basically. :floorlaugh:

If this were not a case of a murdered baby, it would be funny. It is a case of a murdered baby and I am wholly offended by all of the folks using it for self promotion. Shame on them all. MOO

I remember in the civil depo, the young lawyer in Morgan and Mitnick's firm, saying very politely....come on....Brad. You're an experienced attorney. You may not interrupt. You know the rules, but for your edification this morning I will remind you.....and he proceeded to explain the role of the attorney accompanying the witness, and the limits of that.

I guess Linda Drane Burdick could not have cared less about this lady's edification, because she spent no time arguing with her. Love, love, love her!!!

Hal Boedeker excused the media for not covering it with:

- it was the weekend
- it was a big doc dump

But that does not explain the universal silence about this one issue! The media is covering every single other item that has so much as a hint of bombshellitude (and granted, we were greatly gifted with same in this dump)--which makes it all the more glaringly obvious that none of them are covering the biggest bomb of all!

Can someone tweet Rad or KB and ask them to opine?

Otherwise the only explanation that makes sense IMO is a combination of wanting to protect BC's reputation (does the "no snitchin'" rule apply in legal circles as well as on the street? is BC now a rat?) and not wanting to sidetrack the trial at hand.

Or has LE asked for a media blackout?
