Terri Has Moved -- What is Next in the Pressure Cooker

I don't get this whole "pressure" tactic thing. Wouldn't it just make someone more angry and toughen up rather than break down and fess up?

Good question...

Evidently, one of the FBI profilers who has been asked about this seems to think a pressure kind of thing is designed to help someone slip up -- giving those investigating the case a new road to consider. I think that is how it goes, maybe someone can expound with a bit more knowledge than myself.

I think that it is probable that TH is not going to tell the truth, but if she is put in the pressure cooker, the skin on her potato could split and she could leak a little information that would help investigators get to the bottom of the case.

Roseburg is a small city in Douglas County with a population of about 20,000. The largest employer is Roseburg Forest Products which makes lumber products. It is very much a blue-collar company town. It has thick forests all around and has beautiful scenery. Terri grew up in Roseburg, and I suspect that this will turn into a second childhood for her. She will be living with her folks, she will have no children or husband to be responsible to. She will be re-living her teenage years with a hot little Mustang. Just from what we know about her, I think we will see some outrageous behavior from her over the next few months and I wouldn't be surprised if her own parents boot her out before long. And somehow, I have a sneaking suspicion there are Roseburg guys lining up right now to give her their cell phone number...

ITA Gwenabob, however, the people I know from Roseburg in general are very independent, outdoor types who likely won't be that accepting of Terri's presence and upheaval that follows her. At first, they may like the PR, but once they realize it paints their town in a negative light, especially after the recent issues in the news, I think they will not be too friendly.
The good news is that Mercy Medical Center has a psych ward.....
And local wineries for the reporters to visit.

I just watched local news (KOIN) and have been looking at the websites, KGW is the only one saying Terri has actually already moved..

But it was interesting, KOIN had a statement from Roseburg Police saying they were prepared to deal with any incidents if they should arise if Terri moves to Roseburg...

Let's hope one of these men do get some info from her.

And I have no doubt that there might be men, although the type that she would attract probably don't need LE scrutiny, so it might not be as easy as she may think it will be.

Roseburg appears to be about 175 or so miles south.

I'm not sure that her being there would be any less of a pressure cooker causing situation... She could be called in to LE every other day (long drive), or some type of court action could be set up to force her in, dunno -- hoping some of our legal smart people will help us here. What's next in the pressure cooker -- Terri has been backed into a corner bit by bit, is there any more backing to be done? What's the next strategic move.

LE can call her to come in for interviews but she is under no legal obligation to comply. At this point, I would be totally shocked if her lawyer hasn't advised her not to say a single word to LE without his presence.

It could be that LE is going to let up a little on the pressure to let her relax and then suddenly ratchet up the pressure again when she is less suspicious.

Or it could be that they will charge and arrest her for something, probably something not related to Kyron's disappearance at all. If you poke through anyone's life closely enough, you can find some law they have broken inadvertently.

For a random example, I went to a craft show and bought a dried flower arrangement. It has flowers, it has foliage, it has some beads and feathers and shells hanging off the container. Do I know what all those plants are or if they are legal in the US? No. Do I know the provenance of the feathers and shells decorating the container? Did I make much of an effort to verify these things or check the background of the seller? No.

It's possible that I'm in violation of the law.

So, it's possible that the next move LE will make is to arrest TMH for some picayune violation of the law, just to put some more pressure on her.

I think he will try to have her arrested for taking something that he believes she had no right removing from the house. MO

He could try but I think he would find that it was considered a matter for civil court. The police are very reluctant to get into the whole "he said, she said" of disputes over things like furniture or personal effects.

Unless it was something like the contents of his 401K, something really major.

If LE had planted any bugs in the house during one of their searches of it that KH is unaware of, do you suppose LE might leave them there for now or will they remove them?

I am not a lawyer but I imagine that it would depend on the terms of the search warrant used to plant any possible monitoring devices.

If the search warrant was specifically for gathering evidence against TMH, then the devices would have to be removed when it was clear that TMH was no longer in the home.

If it was for gathering evidence against more or other persons, then they could leave them in place, I think.

It might.

I think that one thing LE hopes when they turn up the pressure this way is that the suspect will start to make self-incriminating mistakes. Or start disclosing self-incriminating information to confidantes; this doesn't necessarily mean a confession.

As a purely made up example, say Jane Public is suspected of murdering her parents. All that has been released in the media is that someone saw the parents the afternoon before at about 4 pm and then their bodies were found the next day at 11 am.

Jane Public is trying to find emotional support and starts telling new acquaintances that she can prove it wasn't her, she was at Joe's Bar and Grill from 9 pm to 1:30 am that night.

If the police have not revealed publicly that evidence shows the murders happened at midnight, then Jane's insistence that she had an alibi covering that time period looks suspicious. Particularly if Jane can't name anyone she actually talked to after 11 pm.

Any slips like that can go into building a case.

I've been thinking with the RO accusations of murder for hire her lawyer may have advised her to hire bodyguards to protect her husband. With Kyron missing from her care and probable cause for both she better hope not a hair on his head or the other child's goes missing.

No offense, but why would she need to hire bodyguards to protect him? I don't think that's how it works.

IMO, I'm sure LE is watching out for Kaine, but I don't see the immediate threat.. that MFH plot was 7 months ago. If she really wanted him dead, it would have been a done deal long before now.

I'm curious why there is no arrest so far, but figure it is "gathering info/evidence" AND/OR further waiting for the blunder that pegs. My guess is that the pressure cooker would be further backing into the corner (if TH is not already against the wall there -- guess not, she still comes and goes as she pleases.)

SO...what might crimp the coming and going? What might crimp "freedom of communication" further (i.e. if you know someone is going to find your sexting etc. on a phone)

Was wondering what WS'rs, in their corporate wisdom are thinking or conjecturing.

Hmm...wonder if the Mustang has payments... Maybe no dough for the payments? Hmmm...wonder if TH is receiving that child support check for her eldest or if that has been redirected or cutoff yet. If it hasn't been cutoff yet, might someone help to get that cutoff from TH and sent to the person rearing this eldest child now? Does TH have visitation with that child? Might that be approached for that child's security?

Hmmm...wonder if Kaine would be forced to make the Mustang payments? Sheesh, divorce mechanics are so stinking weird... I'm wonder if Gitana or one of our divorce legals might step in. IF the Mustang has a loan on it, if it is in Kaine's name, would he have to keep making payments as a part of the divorce situation -- could he default on that, even though it might wreck his credit?

What might be happening behind the scenes to add pressure in the financial area and with the divorce? OR...maybe that isn't possible?

I know my son's wife split with her boyfriend, leaving my son with the kids, she did not take her visitation hardly at all (she and her boyfriend had so many fishing trips that were so much more important, yeah...that!) He did not get compensated in any way for the custody time she did not take, heck she did not pay the insurance, the med bills nothing that she was supposed to pay. Taking her to court for that, I guess would have had to be a contempt thing (if I recall at all) and I believe I had learned that judges don't like mucking with contempt.

SO...where is the next set of, or pressure point to hit...

Of course, she could still have it but is not driving it at this point.

I sure hope there is some plan by LE/family to continue to up the pressure on this woman. But, it looks like there is nothing that bothers her, at least outwardly, enough to give her incentive to cooperate and relieve some of the heat off of herself. I've come off the fence about her in a big way because she is refusing to get herself 'cleared' by fully cooperating and therefore allowing LE to 'move on' in the investigation.

There has got to be some plan........or an arrest soon......We can only wonder and hope.

Enough is Enough. TMH needs to STOP holding this family and the community hostage NOW.
