Duchess of Cambridge Coats Poll!!
(part 3 of 3)

There are a lot of them so please forgive the extra-long posts. Here is the link (you'll have to scroll past the opening part of the blog post). All pictures and descriptions come from the original blog post:

It's Poll Time: Kate's Coats in 2018, A Trip to Scotland & Lacorine Update - What Kate Wore

11. Remembrance Sunday 2018 brought a new design by Alexander McQueen. The nature of the event means we can only see the garment from the waist up and we don’t really know if it is a jacket or a coat. I have waffled on that issue, long having thought it was a jacket and matching skirt or possibly a dress, but when working on the polls, it occurred to me it could be a full-length coat. Thus it’s inclusion in this post and poll. The design has strong military references, including the shoulder epaulets and their red piping, metal buttons, and high collar.

12. Christmas Day 2018 brought another Catherine Walker coat in a rich berry hue. The double-breasted style is becoming something of a signature look for the Duchess; most readers know Kate has an almost identical coat in green. The coat hits below the knee, has a fit and flare silhouette, angled pockets and velvet trim accenting the collar, cuffs, pocket flaps, and buttons.

Samantha Markle announces she's releasing a SECOND book about Meghan this year - after revealing her first 'tell-all' will coincide with birth of the royal baby in the spring

Samantha Markle announces second book | Daily Mail Online

Oh my. I haven't gotten around to reading her first book, not sure I'll get to the second one, either.

I wonder if she has some psych issues related to her illness, among other things. I'm sure it's difficult to have been healthy then be struck with MS and end up half paralyzed, in a wheelchair. It would probably help her to have some professional counseling to deal with it.

@flute4peace, I love your Kate's Coats poll! That was a good article, especially the part at the end about the maker of the alpaca wool goods.

My favorite is the Burberry winter look. Head to toe, Catherine looks fantastic. She looks very happy and lively in that sporty look.

I also love the red and white Catherine Walker houndstooth coat, and the Swedish-designed evening coat with the scalloped, embroidered hem.

Noted that she's pregnant in many of those photos, too.

London – Britain’s press is urging social media users to tone down inappropriate criticism of Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge.

Palace officials have been seeking help from Instagram to monitor and remove offensive comments about the two duchesses, who are married to Prince Harry and Prince William.

Palace aides have been spending hours each week moderating comments on the official Palace Instagram account and removing racist and sexist content...

Too bad for Meghan. She knew exactly what was involved when she latched on to Prince Harry. She got her wish to marry up and it comes with a price, always. The grass is never greener on the other side. She and Harry will have to learn not to read social media comments.

And people need to stop saying she is disliked because she is American and not white. No one cares that she isn't white. She's not inline to be the next Queen, so no one cares about her skin colour, she has no power over British people, she's an in-law, not a law maker.

Thanks flute for the Kate’s Coats poll. I loved looking at all of the beautiful colors & styles.

Dang, I can’t imagine being in such a public position, having a blog named ‘What Kate Wore’ to critique every fashion choice. She always looks great but geez, what pressure!

I doubt if the Royals read them. Why would they?

I imagine what is not liked are the nasty comments which show the ugly side of humanity.

No one needs to tolerate and allow that to be posted

I totally agree, and imagine how weird and unnerving it would be to find thousands of posts about yourself on a website dedicated to crime and murder or something....

oh, wait...

:D

I don’t know why the Royal family Instagram allows the public to comment if it is causing so much grief.

JMO, she will eventually become more familiar and comfortable with her new situation and lifestyle. She'll learn to adapt a little and place less emphasis on finding new ways to rebel. What's the point in that anyway? In spite of the media and public pressure, she's living a very good life, far nicer than anything she could have imagined. Maybe she'll mature a little and realize it's pointless to rebel by borrowing expensive jewelry, going without hosiery, opening her own doors, etc. She should relax and enjoy the challenging and fulfilling year she has ahead of her.

She's reached her pinnacle of success. I don't really understand what she's striving for.

I don’t see those things as striving.

I see her social things such as the cookbook striving to find her place in the weird dichotomy she is in. Super rich yet wanting justice.
