Congratulations to Princess Beatrice! I'm sure her wedding will be as beautiful as her sister's.

Slightly off-topic, but I would love to see inside St James Palace. Such a beautiful, old place with so much history. Has anyone here ever been inside?

ETA: Nevermind. The palace web site says the inside is not open to the public. Well, a lot of people live there and need their privacy. I recall years ago going to a visit in the Colorado governor's mansion when I was a member of the League of Women Voters. As we walked to the reception area, we went past the kitchen where someone was preparing a regular dinner for the governor (Dick Lamm at that time) and his family. His wife came in later to talk to our group. She was very gracious, but I thought what an intrusion it must be to live in a home where the public is regularly trooping through for sight-seeing and meetings.

I wish the press would let Princess Diana Rest In Peace and remember her for the wonderful Lady she was. Going over her death won’t bring her back. (No criticism or offence meant to you Gardenista)

My favourite photo of Princess Diana is above.
I agree gregjrichards, free her and let her RIP.

Princess Di was one in a million... Imo

The photo you posted is one of my favorites, too.

Both princes have said it is the Mario Testino photos that they are most grateful for.

I can see why. A great photographer brings out that inner (one in a million) something.

And really, is there any competition?

rtbm, bbm, I’ll take it...

You can come trooping through anytime.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time in epospical churches, and St. John the Divine... as a choir girl.

And a couple of castles, too.

University and grand public libraries, grand rail road stations are favorite hangouts too. Outside of Grand Central, Hoboken NJ Train Station blew my mind.

It’s the most grand architecture you are ever going to see.

So in Europe, we see what we are never going to see again.

A cathedral. Palaces on the scale of Buckingham, or the Spanish Steps introducing a city...

I’m a traveler for the American natural landscape, but a traveler abroad for architecture.

Currently watching back to back episodes of the Queens Castle. Fascinating, it's all the people who work the day to day operations. Caretaker of the clocks was most interesting. Takes him 16 hrs. to change all the clocks with some being 2-300 yrs. old.

The later pictures of Diana are most lovely. Her inner beauty shines thru as well as her natural beauty. IMO it was a time she was most happy and at peace within herself. So sad.

I just wonder if Prince Andrew will demand Princess Beatrice’s wedding be televised like Eugiene’s. The wasted taxpayers money protecting the royal family from the non existent crowds was disgraceful in my opinion. Hopefully lessons will be learned for this wedding.

The Mirror reported earlier today how a charity was left stunned after gaining the royal nod on social media.

The Little Village charity that collects good quality clothes, toys and kit for kids aged under five for families in need was left "completely astounded" when it was mentioned by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry 's new Instagram account.

After the royal mention, Little Village's Instagram followers shot up by 1,000 in just 24 hours after the post by the pregnant couple's account.

Meghan Markle's mum Doria to fly over and be by daughter's side for baby arrival

^^ From the same link that gregjrichards posted.

Think this is where Harry and Meghan are very aware they can be a force for good. This little charity is big news, now.

They are unique in that they represent two countries. And when they find their way, get their footing, find their collective identity, I think they’ll be great. They have more freedom than Will and Kate.

-Harry and Will, and with Kate have started some important campaigns, most recently opening up about the profound grief for Princess Di, their struggles, and the importance of mental health awareness, and care.

America is in love with the royal family. Yeah, I love all the pomp and circumstance, and fashion, but I’m seeing these two young princes come into their own in a very modern age. And it’s exciting. And their causes, their voices carry weight. Harry and Meghan’s Instagram allows them their own narrative. It’s the best publicity because it is their own.

The BRF is special in that it transcends leaders, and the tides that affect other countries. That’s a burden on the figureheads, but also a gift.

Rose,
this isn't surprising. Meghan and and Prince Harry were each involved in charitable causes before they met each other and there's no doubt they will both continue to do so for the rest of their lives, it is in their hearts.
What Meghan isn't is a fashion and style influencer. That's completely different from using one's Instagram to encourage charitable causes and keeping fans (and Commonwealth nations) abreast of what they are doing.
It's wonderful to read about people's charitable responses to the causes highlighted by Meghan and Prince Harry. So many good hearted peopled around the globe.

I dropped the heading as it said Kate was a loser.

In the only five days since they launched their very own brand-spanking account, @Sussexroyal has surely become the world’s most watched Insta, passing the one million follower mark in world-record time. (If only 2015 Tig-era Meghan could see herself now — #Ladyboss #Proud.)

In the coming weeks, their account is only going to grow exponentially and there is a very good chance that we will see the first shots of Baby Sussex right there
Why Meghan’s new Instagram is bad news for Kate

It’s hard to believe some of these tabloids.

The Queen steps in: Meghan and Harry's royal baby will NOT be a vegan

With Her Majesty, 92, well-known for her love of hunting – it's been the palace's prized sport for hundreds of years – bringing up a child in the Windsor household who eats only plant-based foods really goes against the royal grain.
"The Queen won't have it," a source tells Woman's Day.
"It's created tense discussions between Meghan and Harry, who doesn't want to upset his grandmother.
"He's hoping Meghan will settle once the baby comes and he's putting this latest polarising idea down to heightened emotions while being pregnant."

I wouldn’t believe anything Woman’s Day writes they come out with a load of horse manure every week.

Wow! Those horses are beautiful! Love the way those two scoff at old age, especially the Queen. Thank you Brits for sharing your BRF with us in the states. I for one love the rules, the etiquette, the formality, and the HATS!!

—Think this means baby is coming soon. Doria flew in a couple days before the wedding. Doesn’t stay long. She’s the mom of an independent daughter. Reminds me of my mom who I was very close with.

I also think she likes her California life... can’t say I blame her.

Hoping Meghan and Harry have a wonderful time as new parents. I’m sure they’ll have lots of visitors, too. The privacy at Frogmore sounds like an oasis, sounds nice.
