WTF, they're stalking ex members of staff now? Jeez!
I hate when tabloids start following and reporting on people who didn't ask to be in the spotlight and who haven't committed a crime.
I don't find it difficult to believe that it was difficult to work in the Prince Harry-Meghan Markle household leading up to the wedding. That would have been a stressful time for so many couples, especially with Meghan's family drama adding to the stress.
It is well known that Prince Harry has an anxiety disorder, we saw his anxiety and impatience during the wedding while waiting for Meghan to arrive. Anxiety sometimes causes people to be quick tempered, snap at people, etc. Not that they are bad people, that's just how anxiety works when a person is stressed to the max.
She'll likely find another job as a PA, one that will hopefully be more fulfilling for her.

Fascinating! Thank you for sharing. Off to jump down the Abdul Karim rabbit hole.

The movie Victoria and Albert with Judi Dench was where I first heard about Abdul Karim.

This is an interesting analysis of the recent escalation of negative stories about Meghan.

Quoting the link:

But now, certain corners of that same British press are turning against them -- or, more specifically, the bride.
For the last few weeks, the Duchess of Sussex has been the subject of hostile briefings by so-called "royal insiders," "courtiers" and "family friends," who portray her as a demanding bridezilla in the run-up to the wedding and a difficult boss who snaps at her staff.

*********

Whatever the truth in any of these reports -- and there are always at least two sides to any story -- a troubling narrative is developing about the new Duchess of Sussex that seems designed to put her firmly in her place.
There is an apparent effort to "other" her -- perhaps due to her being American but also, in a more insidious way, over her biracial heritage. After all, how dare this successful, independent-minded, forthright woman have opinions on how she wants her wedding to be? How dare a woman who has worked hard at her career before she joined the royal family continue to send emails now she is on the inside?

*********

It is possible these stories are gaining traction because there are rumored frustrations among royal journalists that the family -- and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's camp, in particular -- are not giving anything away as they retreat to a more private existence in anticipation of the birth of their first child, moving to a cottage on the Frogmore estate at Windsor, away from the media glare of London.

It is also notable that the negative briefings began shortly after Meghan and Harry broke the news of the pregnancy in October at the champagne reception of his cousin, Princess Eugenie -- as if because the new couple had broken one unspoken social rule, they surely must be guilty of breaking others.

I'm fed up of hearing about the tensions to be honest. To use a very apt but very British word, I think it's (mainly) absolute bollocks!

True or not, the stories about Meghan Markle have nothing to do with her not being White. All this talk from people about her being an independent modern woman is baloney. The look in her eyes at the wedding told the world she fulfilled her Cinderella dreams. She is no Michelle Obama or Kamala Harris or Angela Davis. Both Prince Charles and QE2 have had black women on their staff in very important positions before.
There is likely a bit of truth in some of these rumours, but going from a regular commoner from a different country to becoming the wife of a Prince in under 2.5 years isn't an easy transition. There will be hiccups. If the rumours are true, too bad for Prince Harry, he had his pick of women and he chose her. Like every other couple in the world, you made your choice, now deal with it.

Kate Middleton Denies Rumors of Feud with Meghan Markle

Snipped by me (more at link)
After Kate squashed the non-existent beef, she gave a much-needed update on Prince Louis. For the most part, Louis is growing super fast and the kids are all pumped for Christmas. "They're getting excited for Christmas time because they've started all their Christmas songs and Christmas trees are going up," she said. "It was really sweet. And Louis's getting big. I can't believe he's, like, seven months now. He's getting to be a big boy."

I can't wait to see Christmas piccies!

That's very kind of William and Kate. Their holiday season is likely very busy with a household of small children and a baby. Harry and Meghan were also invited to stay with the Queen for Christmas, so I guess she's also being a good sport about the change of plans.

In all fairness, Meghan has received excellent treatment by the BRF since beginning her relationship with Harry. They seem to go out of their way to treat her with kindness and special favor. It's a stark contrast to the lack of support poor Diana received and it's good they've become more sensitive to the new brides coming into the family.

As for the other article at Daily Mail, well let's hope it's just rumor. Sounds like it is. No offense to George Clooney, I'm a fan, but this would be very inappropriate.

KM literally said 1 sentence in response to a question by someone, agreeing it's exciting for MM to be having a baby, and people swoon over this non-news, seeing it as some kind of thwarting rumors of tensions? How so? If nothing else, KM is a professional who knows how to conduct herself and represent the family in public, at all times. She says nothing and belies nothing.

It's amazing how people project their own feelings and desires and fantasies onto famous people, including the BRF, who they do not know and never will. The public sees the BRF standing there, waving, smiling and imbue them with all kinds of meaning and claim to understand what all is going on and how they feel about each other.

No one knows unless it gets leaked out to the press, which might be happening a bit now. It wouldn't surprise me if MM isn't all that popular and has caused some upset. MM is not going to be changing the BRF no matter what; she's a newcomer and doesn't have power over the throne.

So, what do we think the royal baby will be? Twins? Boy? Girl? I'm going to take the easy option and guess twins, one boy, one girl. :p:cool:

Girl, whom I believe will be born closer to the first of March than the first of April, the projected due date given out by the media.
I also think they may name her something exotic like " Kenya".
Birth weight around 6.5 lbs. ( I don't think Meghan is going to have a 40 week pregnancy but will be induced early).

I am absolutely disgusted by the Daily Mail Online and the Daily Mirror Online today the negative press the Duchess of Sussex is getting disgraceful. It is like Princess Diana all over again she was hounded by the press. I just hope the Duchess of Sussex rises above it and she doesn’t end up walking away.

I personally think the Queen would have a fit if the baby was called Kenya. The press would accuse the Duchess of naming the baby after a real housewife. In my opinion the name will be something non-traditional but acceptable to the Royals.

Ugh. Honestly, who on earth would want to marry into a royal family? Christmas ruled by a 90 year old Grandmother? What to eat, when to eat, what to wear, when to open gifts...sounds like Christmas in Hell to me.

As for the cost of fixing up an old castle to make it a cozy place to live, I bet it is costing a fortune. Probably needs duct work, heating, upgrade on electrical, plumbing, I have done that on an old house, it would have been cheaper to bulldoze it and build new. But imagine the uproar if Harry and Meghan had done that?!

As for the "tension", who really loves their in-laws? You didn't pick these folks, but you are stuck hanging out with them for life. You just try to make it brief and as unmiserable as possible.
