It's also funny how nobody ever says the DCX are wrong about Bush, just that they "don't want" to hear it.

Or maybe on yours. :)

I think we're going to have to agree to disagree in this.

I get that I'm rubber and you're glue, luv. But the facts remain that the latest DCX album went platinum here in the U.S. and 5x platinum in Canada. It's a tad premature to worry that the Chicks will starve.

Yeah, she's a motor mouth! Well, I personally think she's a cute gal...and I think she has a lot of talent...I just think they underestimated their fan base. I'm know there are people who support them, but there are also a lot of fans who have dropped them. They're big girls...and they chose their path...now they grew it, and they're chewing it. lol

And I really don't want to listen to them slamming Bush. I with you...I don't really care what they have to say, but I do like watching and listening to them to see what they are going to do next. They opened their traps...now they have to deal with the fact that a lot of us, don't agree with them.
I agree....

I don't want to get into an argument about this. We're on oposite sides.

If if makes you feel better...I think they are wrong. And I am not alone in my thinking. lol

I'm not worried, I'm amused by them. I can't imagine what "the mouth" will say next. lol :)

Love them, support them, whatever...I don't.

I'm sorry, luv. I agreed to disagree, but didn't make that clear.

My only objection is that I think it's too early to crow about their demise.

But whatever...

LOL!!! YEP! :D

They were just like the girls next door...and I loved listening to their music. I loved that Earl song...but, something has changed with them. Natalie is hostile and you have to wonder what's going on. I just can't imagine them being naive enough to believe that what they are doing wouldn't hurt their careers.

They can have their opinion...but they can also do it in a way they are going to offend those that don't agree with them. It's like they want their careers to self-destruct. And what's the deal with Lubbock? Why would you put down your hometown in such a fashion? Natalie needs to chill big-time. I wonder who she's going to target next?
I LOVED that Earl song. It makes me mad they are acting like jerks now. I used to love them! BUT, not anymore.

Sadly, politics can divide people quicker than a smack upside the head. I will give them credit for one thing...it does take conviction to stand up for your beliefs. I've done that...and it's not something everyone is willing to do. But I still don't agree with what they are saying.

That Earl song was a hoot. I'm in the same boat with you...I used to love 'em, but not now.

It couldn't possibly be that they have spent 6 years living under the most corrupt American administration in many, many decades.

Nope. Too much venom at this point imo. They made their point and now it's just getting silly.

You don't agree with what they are saying? We have a President who invaded a sovereign nation on bad intelligence - a nation which had killed not one single American citizen and had nothing to do with 911.....we have a President who thinks it is ok to round up people and hold them with no evidence indefinately and who thinks torture is fine and dandy...never mind what it also does to the soul of the torturer...............
recently a Canadian citizen told his story of being stopped by the US, sent to Syria, tortured and then released..........he was innocent...he said he would have said anything to avoid being tortured...
More and more military leaders are saying they want no part of any torture that it endangers our own soldiers and is against the rules of warfare.........
I just heard an interview with a CIA agent yesterday who says that the best way to get info from a terrorist or anyone else is to build relationships with them...that works and gets results...in the past, he said that when torture has been used, it has sent agents on wild goose chases that produced nothing.......................he also said that that shows like 24 are really bad and our promoting the idea that this is the way to get things done.....it was a fascinating interview and one that I hope all "Christians" who support war and have yellow ribbons and flags on the back of their gas guzzlers will contemplate.............
We are literally creating enemies faster than we can kill them and if what happened yesterday at the UN is any indication, other nations are starting to circle the wagons.............it's time to throw out the neo cons and bring some rationality back to Washington....................

What's really sad, she still has family living here. Dad, uncles, cousins, etc.

I don't agree with every decision made by every person in the world, everyone makes mistakes. I agree with some of them some of the time, that's my right. But, you won't hear me blabbing my big mouth off to the world when I disagree with something- especially the way she has done.
I have more class than that.
She could have chosen to disagree in a more productive way, instead she makes herself look like a fool by cursing and allowing it to be broadcast. She is acting like a childish teenager, she could have chosen to follow the example of other celebs who have disagreed with the office and not looked like idiots doing so. I feel sorry for her kids, to have a mother that will eternally be on film saying the things she has.

That's right. And I do not agree at all with what you are posting. You can think what you want. You can love the Chicks, whatever, but I disagree with them and what you said.

I have no intention of getting into a political discussion (there's another forum here just for what you posted). It's like religion...we all have different opinions, and I know there's not a chance in the world that you're going to agree with my feelings. Nor would I expect you to.

I dislike the Chicks. They have flapped their gums one too many times. And I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Jane Fonda still has a career so Natalie has little to worry about.

I pity her family who still live in Lubbock. If she were my relative, I'd be embarassed.

And Natalie does look like a fool. She certainly could have handled things differently, after all, she is more than entitled to have her own opinion concerning the current administration, but she's acting like a baby. Did she really think that we'd all agree with her?

And kids can be mean. Her children will probably be hassled by other children for a long time to come because of their mother's big mouth.

I'm curious what's going to come out of her big trap next week.

I don't know that I'd put Jane Fonda and Natalie in the same catagory, but anything is possible. Tom Cruise should be the poster boy for what can happen when you cross the line.

And Jane knew she had to come back and suck-up a bit. Didn't she even apologize for some of her actions? I can't see Natalie doing that. No, I can only see her digging in deeper...

They can say what they want. I don't care. I just don't agree with what they are saying, and I am no longer going to add to their bank accounts. Same with Tom Cruise. I wouldn't spend a dime to see anything he's a part of.

It's about freedom of speech....mine and theirs. They opened their mouths and now have to deal with those people that don't agree. It's a two-way street...lol, not the Dixie Highway.

They grew it, now they get to chew it.

Kylie, I love the Dixie Chicks songs. I have some of their CD's.....Natalie sings fantastic. But.......no........I don't agree with her latest songs and her actions that continue on and on.
I am not going to post a long explaination. Everyone has their own opinions.
I would just like you to turn on Glenn Beck (CNN Headline News) 7-8PM or 9-10PM ET. Monday thru Friday. He will show you some of the reasons of why we are in Iraq. He will show you media clips, that are not out there being shown to us all. Thousands of people saying "death to America and Americans".......
Recently we were shown on most channels Bin Laden talking with the hijackers of 9/11. No connection? Big time connections. There were families on those planes they used as terror weapons.......and there were families in those buildings they took these planes of ours into. If you knew someone on one of those planes, or in one of those buildings would you feel that Natalie is right?
Talking.......and kindness to that type of person, who would strap bombs to their wives and children, would not work. What were we to do? Sit back and wait for round two and round three. Sit back here in America and say "Its ok, and please don't do it again"
Thank Goodness our soldiers are protecting us over there........because if we sat back.......like some say .......you'd be locking your doors right now big time along with the Dixie Chicks. I just so totally think......all Americans should support our country in this very difficult time. Make prayerful songs......praying for an end to this. Because we all want peace.
I pray Natalie supports her country in song.
Be glad we are still standing ....because others came with terror, on wings made into weapons, ready and willing to do us all in.
