I have received some anonymous information from a former friend of Raven that I will share if you'd like me to. It's just some background information; nothing earth-shattering. I wasn't going to post it because I don't know it as fact. I don't want anyone to perceive it that way nor do I wish to divulge the source of the information. I'm not trying to play cloak-and-dagger; I just want to be true to my word, and share what I've heard while keeping the source anonymous.

Again, it's nothing extreme or bizarre, etc., so don't get excited. :)
Jersey Girl,

Please do share...

- The pictures of the man holding the baby on the porch prior to a soccer game are, indeed, of Raven.

- Soccer was more of a passion to Raven than to Janet.

- Raven did play soccer at SVU, but he wasn't into school at that time, and that's when and why he dropped out.

- The game that Raven attended the night of Janet's murder was a game that Raven PLAYED in, not one for which he was a spectator.

- Janet "NEVER" attended games in which Raven was playing.

- Raven was described as an "intense & fiery" guy, and it was said that he often got into fights on the field. I was also told that there was an incident last year for which Raven was charged with assault for punching a referee.

- As far as this person has heard, the baby was at home with Janet on the night of the murder.

- Raven was a very good goalkeeper. Also, by Raven's own claims, he played at a fairly high level in high school.

- This person is torn on whether or not they think that Raven is capable of this. Their gut feeling is that he is not but wonders at the same time about factors that might make it possible, like losing the baby for instance.

**********************************************************

Please keep in mind that NONE OF THIS has been verified. These are statements made to me by a third party. Some of the above information may be able to be verified, some may not. But since you've requested that those familiar with this family post some background information anonymously, and since I've received permission from the person that's been sharing some anonymous background information with me, I decided to post it as the "middleman", so to speak. None of this has been proven as fact, and is not coming directly from me.

JerseyGirl,

Thank you - some of that is true. You all are doing good work here - keep the spotlight on this case - you all are asking good questions.

Thank you Moxie, and forgive me for not noticing that you are new to WS. Welcome! :) :) :) I hope you'll continue to post with us.

ETA: Does your statement mean that some of the statements are not true or that you can attest to the truth of some of the statements without knowledge of the others?

JerseyGirl,

I can attest to the fact that some of the above statements are correct, whereas others are either speculative or your friend was misled.

Okay, thanks. BTW, this person is not a friend; I have never met him/her, and don't know who it is.

JerseyGirl, I received a bit of info also, but it is generalized statements such as Janet was very quiet, Raven was very very outspoken and loud. Janet worshipped the ground Raven walked on and would have done anything for him. That they lived in different towns last spring- summer, even after she found out she was pregnant, or perhaps because of it. That they had tried to get pregnant and she had a tubal pregnancy before getting pregnant with Kaiden.
That she was a hard worker, that he had 4 vehicles recently, including a red motorcycle, a car, an SUV and a truck.
That he was materialistic, and she worked extra hard to provide things for him.

The most damaging thing I was told was that he was rampantly unfaithful to her last year while she was pregnant. That he had many sexual encounters, not sure if there was ONE special woman, or if it was a case of indiscriminate activity.

The person, who obviously knew them well to know about the tubal pregnancy, did not believe that Raven could kill Janet, but was open to the possibility... They believe that someone who was mixed up in some scheme for money with Raven was either out for revenge on a deal gone bad or was burglarizing the house in an attempt to recover some of their lost money and didn't think anyone was home.

Again, my source said I could post this anonymously, leaving any reference to the sender out. I do not know the sender, and do not have any way to know if these things are accurate, but I believe that any person who registered to tell us something privately is probably legit.

I hestitated to post this as it is " I said that they said" but the PMs exist.

I would like to again encourage any of you who knew Janet and/ or who know Raven or the families to register and post.
Your words will have an impact which ours, as obvious strangers to the young family, cannot have. Janet has no voice, please use yours for her here, on the only public discussion forum which is discussing her case.

Do not let her be forgotten, do not let a murderer go free.

I worry so for Kaiden's safety. I would like to know that he is SAFE.

Thank you for reading.

If anyone has questions about the generalized comments I received and have condensed here, I am sorry but this is all I have and all I know.

Thank you, Jersey Girl. I felt empowered by your post to post what I have been told as well. I had the person's permission, as long as they were not quoted directly. They registered here, but have not posted, to the best of my knowledge. I didn't know whether to post my secondhand information or not, but we have to go with what we have, and hope to somehow spur a discussion of the PEOPLE who lived in that house..
Thank you for your post. :)

ToL, you're very welcome. I just want to urge everyone to use caution because the reality is that none of us know who the anonymous tipsters are. I don't want to start rumors. That's why I wanted to make it abundantly clear that I cannot verify what was told to me. We also don't know what the tipsters' reasons might be for telling us this - if they are in any way related to the case.

Even though we are all here out of our desires for justice, and I doubt that any of us would do anything inappropriate, I just want to remind everyone that we should leave the family alone as misterallgood has suggested. We have no true facts as of yet to know who committed this crime, and this family is surely suffering as well. All we know for sure is that Raven discovered his wife either dead or dying when he got home from a soccer game. There are a lot of real people suffering the reality of that crime, and Raven might very well be suffering the most. We just don't have enough to go on yet.

Anyway, I don't want to sound preachy but we've gotten very far since yesterday with the information that's been uncovered, and I just want to make sure that we, (myself very much included), keep level heads.

I think all of you on this forum are wonderful, BTW, and I think that you've devoted amazing amounts of time with good hearts & substantial results! :blowkiss:

ciggarette and type

this has got to be the sunniest day in hell ever, wind and trees, city scape, smoking ciggarettes outside my window wondering about sensless acts of death and thievery, soon my lungs are inhaling heat and my fingertips aflame. the next ciggarette is mainly mint leave with only sprinkles of tobacco, hand rolled. so i sit and imagine falling four stories to help raise my nephew ,to help him become the great man i never had the courage to become myself.

From another blog...

"One of the classic crimes of a narcissist is embezzlement. That can lead to murder. I think she was going to be called as a witness in his trial, so he got rid of her. Simple as that."
In NC, spouses don't have to testify against each other. It's the law. If they don't want to talk, they don't have to. I've even known secretaries who have married their bosses in order not to have to testify against them in white collar criminal trials.

When I heard that Janet was found on the bedroom floor, I assumed it meant her bedroom. While checking out the search warrant inventory list again, it seems that she was found in a room referred to as an "office", and swabbing was done on a desk.

WRAL.com - Slideshow

Note that one swab was taken from "opposite wall of victim in office".

Was this from misfitting.com? Loretta's following this one as well, just biding her time, I think.

I try to take care with qualifying much of what I say, but I enjoy Loretta because she just says it, and I can usually guarantee you that I'll agree with it.

I know in this case that she and I are in complete agreement. Remember that in mind if she posts an entry about Abaroa any time soon.

It has been said that Raven mentioned that his wife was hurt upstairs. Was this during the 911 call or when the officers arrived? If he went downstairs to call 911, (or even if he didn't), where was the baby when LE arrived? If he came in to find his wife murdered, I assume that he grabbed the baby before even making the 911 call? So the baby probably wouldn't have been in the crib asleep when LE arrived because Raven couldn't have known at that point what had happened or whether the perp. might even still be in the house.

Read that and had this flash -- she was stabbed while standing, hence the smear on the wall -- then she fell.

What would have caused splatter on the desk? That's another question I have.

Let me say for the record how grateful I am to all of you for following this so intently. You and the people who have e-mailed me have only confirmed my original nagging feeling that this crime was too "quiet" press-wise; it needed a spotlight. To those who have thanked me, you're welcome, but I'd have done it even if no one else read about it.

I do write about very high-profile crimes, and err towards the unsolved because I'm incorrigibly in love with mystery, but every now and then a "low-profile" crime will really bother me -- this is a little OT, but the following is a link to a search for the name "Leslie Beebe" at my blog -- Dark Side Search for "Leslie Beebe."

Leslie is a nurse who was living in my city here next to Atlanta proper when she was very mysteriously murdered last December. If anyone has time to read my entries and give me feedback, pm me. If I get enough pms about Leslie I'll start a new thread. Her murder appears to have dropped off the press and police radar in a huge way, and it's a little inexplicable.
