I would think maybe 1 pair, not the 4-5 different pairs that she has worn in court so far tho.
At least for Wisconsin I can attest that DOC supplied glasses are those ill-fitting, big, bulky, retro style spectacles. Black plastic frames and all. Glasses are only provided by the DOC for those individuals convicted and sentenced to prison (awaiting trial in custody isn't applicable).

Here's what I've found though:
Inmates who are booked without their prescription eyeglasses will need to submit an Inmate Request Form requesting permission from the Jail Commander or Medical Staff to have them brought in from home. Only plastic frame glasses and no tinted lenses will be allowed (tint-unless medically approved), eye glasses with broken frames or broken lenses will not be accepted. Inmates may purchase Reading Glasses from the Canteen.

I wonder if anyone on the jury wears glasses? JA is on at least the 3rd pair of different glasses today during this trial. I highly doubt these are prescription. Speaking as an eyeglass wearer myself: I end up paying at least $300 for basic, non-designer frames + non-glare prescription lenses, even shopping the so-called "$99 sales" and with very good vision insurance. Because of cost, I wear the same ONE pair for at least 2-3 years. And I make a lot more than a currently unemployed waitress. Considering vision prescriptions last 2 years (at least where I live they do), I would think around 2 years is pretty average for most people to buy new glasses, if not longer. Non-prescription glasses can be bought very cheap though (and subliminally reiterates her fake persona).

In other words, this whole pretending-her-murder-trial-is-a-fashion-show is not going to go over well with jury at all IMO. Even if they stop this charade now, the damage is probably already done on that front. Especially if there is at least one eyeglass wearer on the jury...I would think we are more prone to noticing, since we buy & wear them also...

Agreed. I noticed that she has multiple pairs of frames. Inmates are typically allowed to keep one pair of glasses, and contact lenses and solutions.

I wondered if someone is bringing these glasses in with her courtroom clothing, and makeup. Besides her courtroom image, I haven't seen a single OTHER picture of her in glasses (except sunglasses).

I think the glasses are both a "barrier", as well as an attempt to make her less of a vamp, more mousy and librarian-ish. To counter the eye-searing images and implications of her rather experienced (ahem) lady parts.

At least she hasn't adopted the ever-changing Casey Anthony "sister wife" hairdo's. I'm fine with the hair curtain. There isn't enough hair on the planet to shield her from what she did.

Putting this simplistically, how could anyone think this was self-defense? JA is a disgrace to battered women everywhere! How can this Violet whats er name person actually testify that Jodi was abused by Travis and maintain a straight face? I bet ya a dollar that once this woman testifies as to JA's abuse from Travis, she will become a pariah in the eyes of legit people everywhere.

"Alternatives to Violence" indeed. As she steps in to a trial where it's claimed the perp had "no choice" but to slaughter a naked unarmed man in his own shower. (I sound like a broken record I know):furious:

Well she (LaViolette) does think Snow White was a battered woman so ...

Have you NOT seen the pictures??? Are you serious??? :what:

Let's say that this person could have been raised Catholic. Two things we know, 1) Catholicism is the predominant religion in Mexico and 2) there is no death penalty in Mexico.

So, just making generalizations, what does this get us?
.

There are lots of Mormons in Mexico. :twocents:

This sl-t will try to destroy TA's reputation and (even though I could care less about the mormon church), she was/is making mockery about them also. She really is evil; she really deserves to die. I just wish her death could be as horrible as Travis' was. God bless Travis, his family and friends.
I remember heatedly disagreeing with you a few weeks back so I feel compelled to give you a great big !

Thanks, 4Jacy, for sticking through it with the rest of us and for being so nice even when we disagreed. :blowkiss:

Watch out, I could steal your avatar and Bieberize it too. :what:

I can't stop staring at your avatar. I don't mean that in a creepy obsessive way. But it's kind of a creepy picture. Not you but that thing upon your head.

It's so amazing how those who don't have all of the evidence can rally around one of their own, but at the same time, they are all behind bars at a maximum security facility for a reason.

There was a former cell mate, (I can't remember where I saw this, but I believe she was posting lately on facebook,) who initially supported Jodi until she was released, and then saw the whole picture and changed her tune. I will look for a link...

Interesting that the journalist who interviewed Jodi felt like she might be able sway at least one juror by taking the stand, because of her soft demeanor. I say, GO FOR IT, GIRL! You might as well go down fighting for your life. Travis did, and he was fighting a losing battle as well.

He lost. I hope you do as well.

Lol-- weeeeellllll, there WERE 7 of them, those dastardly abusive dwarves. Coulda been a "group abuse thing". 8 if you count in the Prince. 9 if you add in her Father.

Poor, poor Snow White. This expert witness may end up being more entertaining than "Silly Sally Karioth", the grief expert from the Anthony trial! :floorlaugh:

Hi Ho, Hi Ho....it's off to work we go......!

Listen to the defense opening statement.

The defense opening statement is not evidence nor is it proof until it is proven in court during the defense's case. The defense opening statement is also information that they have received from Jodi. Jodi that lies. Jodi that has every reason in the world to paint herself as a victim, a good moral person, etc. Jodi that has every reason in the world to paint Travis as an abuser, a pervert, a liar, an immoral human being, etc. If one is taking the defense opening statements as facts, then one is setting themselves up to be disappointed.

MOO

:floorlaugh:, Troy Hayden pissed me off too. He fell for her act, hook, line and sinker. She worked her magic on him.

She must have been wearing her magic panties that day! LOL

Me too, but this monster didn't just stab him in the back...she made his back look like a slaughtered animal. Each one of these cuts were HUGE and gaping and several inches deep. How could anyone who was NOT evil continue to make those wounds in his back? She must have sat on his upper thighs and just carved him up like an animal. It looked like he had been mauled by a Grizzly bear!

I've seen a lot of horrible things, including people who have blown their heads off to where it looked like a blown up jack-o-lantern and a man who was hit by a train and his entire body from the waist down was turned around backwards so that his left heel layed on the ground next to his left ear. But, this is the most horrific that I have seen! Self defense my A$$!
