The truck, the science project and TH

I agree with everything you said. None of it is adding up.
Our school usually had these kinds of things at night, so that both parents could attend. They were held in the cafeteria, room enough for everyone to walk around and look at everything, with their own child beside them. No confusion, no disruption of classes. Then when it was over, they took their projects and their kids home.
This event sounded like it was not well organized or well planned. Odd time of day to be holding a science fair, early in the morning, IMO.
And the kids could have been running over to their friends' groups, instead of staying with their own group, causing the chaperones extra trouble.
Also, was this science fair for all the grades, or just second grade? If it was for the whole school... I'm sure it was very hectic.

The elementary school I work at has 500 students. My classroom is right next to the gym where events are held.

As I have said before, parents can come all day at my school.

It is not hectic or unorganized at my school. Not one bit.

I don't know how anyone can say that Skyline's was hectic or unorganized. We have no information on that at all.

FWIW -

On the dateline interview, Kaine made it clear that he did not think it was any big deal, strange thing, or part of a plan that Terri took the truck that day. She often requested the truck - it wasn't out of the ordinary.

So ... if Kaine's not making a big deal of of it ... why are we?

Sometimes I think we make mountains out of molehills o this case ... IMO, this is one of those things ... it might be a white truck, but as far as being evidence of Terri's evil plan ... it is probably just another red herring.

iirc, kaine did say they had discussed separation (and divorce, too, I think) but he thought they had worked it through in a positive manner. Not inconsistent with what you are suggesting at all, imo. Just in case you you missed it. I think he only said it one time, so it was easy to miss.

eta: the quote and the link

Q: While you have said your marriage suffered after Kiara's birth and Terri's post-partum depression, was there any talk of separating or divorce before Kyron disappeared?

A: Yes there was but we worked through them in a positive manner (at least that was my impression.)

Thanks for jogging my memory. I do remember that brief mention, and thought it was strictly in relation to the post-partum depression. In other words, not something outside of one spouse's depression, like irreconcilable differences.

*rumor* has it that the science project has been posting on OL as insintel

SORRY, SORRY, SORRY...I'm losing my mind

I had no idea what your post meant, so I googled the meaning of the word "insintel" and was taken to the site. Most interesting is the second post on that page. Hmm

I think as far as Kh is concerned, that's what he thinks. Who knows how deep it goes for th. jmoo

Maybe he doesn't think it's a big deal b/c the truck was examined by LE twice per th's dad? Assuming that's true, and they found nothing, maybe they would have let kh know that?

Even if they found something it would be hard to prove that the evidence ended up there after Kyron was last spotted at school. It would have to be clear evidence that he was dead or severely injured or property that witnesses say he had with him at school that morning. Small traces of blood or vomit etc. could have got there any time. The family would probably not have been driving the truck if it was obviously damaged during the morning or contained lots of new stains of body fluids etc., I think it would have been seized right away.

Forgive me if this has already been talked about here (which I"m sure thats quite possible as you guys have really covered every aspect as far as I can tell). But I have been wondering this:
Does anyone know WHAT TIME that TH contacted the school regarding what time she was supposed to pick up the science project? That part is a mystery to me- WHY she allegedly took Kaine's truck that day so she could pick up Kyron's project. Yet she never did get it. Why didnt she ask the teacher or anyone at the school that morning when she should retrieve it? (she sure had time to yack away about Kyron's Dr appointment and make sure the teacher got confused on the date though)
Why contact them later in the day to find this out? And then why didn't she go get it? I never heard her alleged excuse as to why she never went to get it. You would have thought at the latest she would have gone to get it at the end of the school day and give Kyron a ride home (but I think of course that she knew he wasn't at school that day and the more time she could buy, the better!). But I'm curious what time she contacted the school and what she actually said. Has anyone heard anything about that? The timeline could be significant (or not).

In this interview with Kaine and Desiree at about 2:13 http://www.katu.com/home/video/101702718.html

Reporter: "Did the science project ever come home?"

Kaine: "No. (shakes head back and forth a few times) I don't think so."

Desiree: "Well, I don't think it can because it is part of the investigation."

Reporter: "No, no, I mean, like, she took the truck that day because she wanted to transport the science project."

Kaine: (Interrupts the reporter at the end a little) "No, that never came home."

I just had a "WOW" moment. I noticed that a bunch of the pieces on Kyron's project were laminated. I wonder if there are fingerprints? Hmmmmm.

It was an opinion. And I wasn't talking about your school... some schools just have a more lax method of dealing with sudden absences, I guess. I'm still wondering why the teacher marked him absent after saying he went to the bathroom or to get a drink just over an hour before that. Did no one wonder what happened to him all day??
Doesn't sound too organized to me.

Guess we will just have to wait and see what comes out at trial, if there is one. As to the testimony of the teacher, chaperon, and any other students, that might have heard TP's statement, of the chaperon, asking the teacher that question.

This is out in left field but just wondering? Could Terry had taken the picture of Kyron on Thursday morning when she dropped the project off instead of Friday morning when the actual event took place? It's late maybe I am not thinking/reading clearly

Well, my thought is that if she is guilty and it was pre planned then taking a white ford F250 ... it does not stand out like a red mustang with a variation of "red squirrel" on the license plate. It would be much easier to remove Kyron from the school.

On the other hand it may be that she simply told Kaine that she wanted the truck because she did not want to deal with the whole stroller, children etc in a smaller car.

I just read the initial post for this thread...and umm...umm and umm..makes me go umm...

I had the total opposite reaction to this. I felt like it cleared up a lot about Terri needing the truck but then never getting the project.

Thursday she used the truck and took Kyron's project to school. Friday she planned to take Kyron to school and watch the "review" (kids talking about their projects) which we have seen from other family home video that Terri has regularly attended in the past.

There was a miscommunication about which day the kids were presenting; Terri and Kaine obviously thought it was Friday morning when the kids would be walking around, and it seems very logical that that's why Terri went in with Kyron that day. If she thought she would watch the presentation and then take the project home, that would explain why she needed the truck again on Friday.

BUT...when she arrived at school and found out that the kids were NOT presenting (she had missed it since they did that on Thursday), I can totally understand not wanting to hang around for 2 hours (8-10) with the baby until the tour was over. Especially since the kids would be with their classmates in small groups. So she just decided to pick it up later. That's why she emailed the teacher to find out when to pick it up. She and Kyron walked around and looked at the projects, and then she left.

This makes so much more sense to me now about when the projects were set up and why they didn't bring it in that morning, and about why she went into the school but didn't stay until 10.

Some people will say that she must have known it was Thursday and did it this way on purpose and lied to Kaine...but WHY? Doesn't it make her look better to go and video his presentation? She could have gone both days and still carried out her "plan" but would have had the video to show what a devoted step-mom she is because, look!, she was just at school yesterday videoing his presentation. I think it was a legitimate mix-up, whether it messed up her planned alibi or she's innocent. To assume this is another lie to Kaine is, IMHO, grasping at straws.

And there's also the possibility that Kaine just really wasn't paying much attention to the chatter about which things happen what day at the science fair--hence his "confusion" about communication statement. Since we know he's not been clued into some things before, this makes sense to me.

To me, a married couple swapping vehicles around isn't a big thing. And--especially with a sick toddler--a mom deciding that she'd just as soon not go get that project that day, especially with a long drive coming up to deliver Kyron to DY, and emailing to ask when she could get it isn't a red flag. JMO.

And hubby filling my Mustang's gas tank before I have to deliver his child to his bio Mom for the weekend makes sense to me too considering I have been accused of spending hubby's money like water lately. JMO
