CP, There are videos out there somewhere from way back in Feb 2009 of TN and CC talking about him saying he didn't wear any sign that stated he wasn't a responsible person to have around young children.. And CC even referred to him as being a pedofire... (her pronunciation of the word not mine) JMO

Em I just remembered, if you go downstairs to the video I did, "Rocky-Ronnie", I put 8 different links at the end that show fingers were pointed at Cousin Joe by the family within days of Haleigh disappearing.

Here is an article I found and didn't know how to start a new thread on it. It concerns PDM and rc's attorney's press release at the time. It states that rc was to return to work on the monday following Haleigh's disappearance which makes perfect sense. Most companies give you about a week (or less) for family death. Apparently rc made no contact with them.

He was released for abandoning his job. PDM has been mum and we only hear from an attorney for rc. rc was extremely angry and must have called PDM and told them how angry he was since they called LE and had to get security for a few days.

NOW, most companies do all they can to help out a grieving parent who works for them. PDM has zipped their mouths and have gone one step further by not ever allowing any word out there concerning rc's work hours on feb. 9, 2009.

I suggest there is a reason and one could be that he actually abandoned his job on February 9, 2009 at some point. RC and his attorney waited it out and rc called after a few months (thinking the sympathy cue was locked in) and found out he was replaced. He was furious (I have no doubt)

At no point has RC ever mentioned WHEN he was supposed to return to his job . Oddly that tidbit was kept from us also. Here is the link to his attorney's press release....see what you think about when rc was actually to return to his job:

http://www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/news/local/041609cummings_attorney_fires_back

If you notice they dispell the first report from Jacksonville about his PDM employment and dismissal (and I concur) but you can see that rc is already gearing up a new way to get money and start on his Crystal pursuit. Anyone get the impression he is a vindictive person and if there was any idea that anyone else hurt his child, they would be breathing at this point?

Whisp, I have never seen that article before! I can't believe that one got by me. It seems that PDM initially told Ron that he could return to work on Monday Feb. 16 and supposedly Ron was prepared to do just that. BUT PDM called Ron that Friday before (Friday 13th) and basically told him they would not accept him back. What changed in 3-4 days? I'm quite sure at this point LE had already made a trip to PDM sooo why the change of heart? IMO, he didn't get fired for job abandonment, it was something else. Makes me wonder if the night Haleigh went missing, Ron broke a rule or two on his job. I wonder when LE spoke with PDM? After that discussion they no longer wanted Ron back and went completely silent.........

I don't know about everyone else but that just about clears up the work situation for me. There's something wrong with this picture, I mean 2+2 still equals 4, right? Ron had to do something wrong for PDM to call him back and withdraw their offer to hold his job, KWIM? I mean, this man (Ron) had a missing child...PDM didn't even give him a full week before they said "NOPE, can't come back." Why? This information came from his lawyer.

ETA: I just can't get over this article. I just keep thinking that there's something there. I mean, all of a sudden PDM doesn't want him back, they went completely silent, they hired security, and changed the time clock method. What does that tell us? It tells me that one of the reasons they didn't want him back probably had something to do with the time clock...A time clock is used for clocking in and out sooo was something hinky about that concerning Ron? There is absolutely no doubt in my mind.

The first time I saw anything about it was this article on 2/3 of this year:

http://www.artharris.com/2010/02/03/exclusive-misty-croslin-balked-at-babysitting-haleigh/

“She (Misty Croslin), told me, ‘I didn’t want to even watch the kids that night because I was too tired from partying that weekend,’” her sister in law, Lindsay, told me in an exclusive interview Tuesday night that I broke on CNN HLN’s Nancy Grace Show.
Then, Misty related, Ronald Cummings mother, offered to pay her. “She told me, ‘Teresa (Neves) said, ‘I’ll pay you to watch ‘em.’ But I told her, ‘No, you don’t have to pay me, I’ll watch ‘em.’ Remember that weekend, she and Ronald were fighting after she came back, so she told his mother, ‘No, I’ll go home and watch ‘em if it’s okay with Ronald.’”

AH states Misty told Lindsy TN asked her to babysit and would pay her. These words did not come directly from TN so they are hearsay. We need an admission directly from TN before we can claim these statements are her.s Lindsy's testimony runs contrary to Nay Nay's who said Misty talked with Ronald during the weekend and she heard them make their own plans to reconcile and have sex. (Ron told Misty to bring a condom). IMO, if they were having sex Sunday evening, they weren’t up fighting all night and that is why I don't believe they argued Monday evening and Misty turned her phone off. We need this claim to be verified before it is accepted as truth. I doubt Misty would stay with Ron for an entire night if he was mistreating her and Art said Misty went with Ron Monday morning to drive HaLeigh to school. "Ron Cummings loaded her and Misty into his purple Altima and drove like a bat out of hell. On Misty's LVA, she said she stayed with Ron on Monday so TN’s words, (Ron and Misty were up talking Sunday night) are true. TN did not mediate their reconciliation and did not arrange for Misty to come and babysit; she was already there.

AH also claims “That night, (Sunday) sources close to the case tell me she told police she and Ronald stayed up all night fighting, and overslept.

Seriously now, LE told AH's sources what Misty told them in her interviews?

"Ron Cummings loaded her and Misty into his purple Altima and drove like a bat out of hell,"

:waitasec: where is Junior?

Just adding to my post...Sorry I promise this will be the last one (for tonight anyway).

I worked on a management team before and when things went wrong or got out of hand on the job, our job as management was to voice the problem and try to find a solution. Like once we had a problem with employees stealing toilet paper so our solution was to keep all supplies locked up with limited people having keys to the lock. That is your job as management. IMO, PDM did the same and it clearly seems that their solution was to change the time clock method. That tells me that someone was abusing company time, like maybe, going to work, clocking in, and then leaving only to come back and clock out....or someone else was clocking in/out a person who was not actually there. If that was the case I would've decided to put in a more sophisticated time clock too...one that scans your fingerprints is very sophisticated and that's exactly what they changed to.

Maybe when PDM offered to hold his position they hadn't realized there was a discrepany with the time clock. It took for them to speak with LE and probably other employees before they noticed a problem. Within 3-4 days of Haleigh going missing, PDM decided not to allow him back. It's not just the point that they let him go but look at the changes that was made afterward. Very telling, IMO.

That's all and goodnight.

I don't know if PDM gave him a time to return but it may be likely that there was standard procedure and company policy in Ron's Handbook.

Knowing rc and his personality, it is not likely that he called but expected the world to know what was happening and excuse him.

I think he was fired for abandonment, just as they said, but when was the abandonment?
Was it the last night he worked? We can certainly fill in the blanks, if we want to, but PDM is out to protect their image and used discretion and the word abandonment (broad term) as the reason without giving details.

Anyone get the impression he is a vindictive person and if there was any idea that anyone else hurt his child, they would be breathing at this point?[/QUOTE] Yeah, I took that as a way to take attention away from his bad parenting-him trying to make Crystal look worse. That seems very childish to me, but, hey, it worked for a year. Courts use that same tactic when lawyers go after a rape victim's reputation.

I agree, & we have to give PDM credit for not messing around. When I 1st read that they had hired extra security, I knew they meant business. I have NEVER seen a company, so cleanly, cut ties with an employee. & the fact that that employee had a missing daughter???? well, it told me more than I needed to know.

Thanks for posting that article! I am still going back to what I posted quite awhile ago that something occured at RC's job the week before-I'm guessing maybe Friday the 6th. Remember, this is when MC was gone on her 3 day spree. I can't say specifically because it is considered rumor, but I think RC was drunk and/or threatening and possibly came in late on that Friday. He could very well have been sent home and told to report back Monday. Again, this is MOO, but I believe he was given a week's suspension on Monday already. (Which goes along with the dates in the article) Remember there were only a couple of pings from the PDM area that night. He had the whole rest of the night after they sent him home on suspension to let his anger boil to a breaking point. Again, JMO based on local info and union factory practices.

ITA doobiedoo52- that makes a lot of sense. I do recall this discussion. If he was suspended on Friday, and was actually sent home early, after coming in late and possibly being drunk, that would add fuel to the fire, as far as his temper is concerned. This would open a whole new can of worms, IMO.

I think i am going to ponder this for a while.

OT kinda- Does anyone have the video of Ronald from attorney Kimball, where there is an odd few seconds of silence? I can't seem to find it and have been looking for it for about a few weeks. TIA :)

IIRC Misty, TN and some of the Cummings were attempting to throw Jo under the bus long before Chelsy ever talked to the media about the scratch and the van...JMO

I am always surprised how each of us remember things differently, so I thought I would go back and take a look at exactly when and how Joe was introduced.

We see the mention of RC fighting with a man here: http://www.ocala.com/article/20090218/ARTICLES/902181004/1402/NEWS?p=3&tc=pg

2/18 Snip~Relatives and friends mentioned that officers were checking into reports Cummings had recently been in an argument with a man who had been at the home but who left before Haleigh disappeared. Officers are reportedly checking this man's criminal history~end

Also on the 18th we have the Carrabba's sighting in Tennessee

2/18 Snip~ snip~SATSUMA, FL -- The mother, father and grandmother of Haleigh Cummings made a swift visit to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office Wednesday afternoon.
Marie Griffis, Haleigh's grandmother, told First Coast News that deputies had told her to pick up Crystal Sheffield, Haleigh's mother, and take her to the Sheriff's Office.
Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, was taken there by the lead detective in the case.
The flurry of activity came hours after a news conference where investigators announced little, except the tip about Misty Croslin not being at the house when Haleigh vanished.
Capt. Dick Schauland said the tip is one of 1,200 under investigation.
Also, the Tennessee Highway Patrol confirms a witness claimed to have seen a man with a girl matching Haleigh's description at a Carrabba's in Knoxville Sunday afternoon.
There was a brief search which resulted in nothing.
Marie Griffis says the family is taking the tips with a grain of salt until detectives can say whether it's valid.~ end

Also 2/18 Then this: Then this http://www.wesh.com/news/18743397/detail.html

snip~ Croslin, 17, was picked up by two detectives Thursday to be taken in for questioning. Hardy said Croslin was not arrested, and she will be released sometime later Thursday.
Sources close to the investigation also confirmed Thursday that Croslin's cousin visited from Tennessee and left the same morning Haleigh disappeared.~ end

2/18 in the evening Next, more on the fight...~ http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/local/news-article.aspx?storyid=131661&catid=3

snip~Family members of Ronald Cummings say he got into a fight with another man over a gun one day before his daughter disappeared.
A relative told First Coast News Cummings accused the other man of stealing a gun. The relative could not remember the name of the man or where the fight happened.~ end

The video with Teresa N and Crystal Cummings that you talked about where they announced Joe and their suspicions of him is here: http://www.cfnews13.com/MediaPlayer...Local&title=Family Of Haleigh Cummings Speaks

I watched the video again and TN and CC said they were informed about Joe by the media and Misty. They didn't even know his name, other than Joe, Law Enforcement and TN seemed to not want to discuss Joe, in the LE press conference earlier in the day Sheriff hardy stated Misty was at the police station as he spoke being interviewed again.

More specific information about the van and Joe and the scratches, etc etc all came from AH in an interview with the Croslin family. In my opinion if anyone was trying to make q scapegoat or Red Herring of Joe Overstreet it wasn't TN or RC....it was Misty and her family. Maybe they honestly were suspicious of him, maybe Misty was suspicious of him....who knows, I can't figure these people out, I deleted my last sentence because i really don't know what the truth is or what to think or believe.

Elle, I've been around waiting for news about Haleigh and information concerning this case for about 13 months now..

In reference to myself, I'm really never too surprised as to how some people remember things considering all the inconsistencies we have been fed and have had to digest for over a year now.. Especially with some interviews and statements made that happened way over a year ago..

Also, my #436 reply to CP was totally out of context to the statment he made in his #434 post.. I didn't realize he was talking about the first time he had heard TN had asked Misty to babysit that night...I thought he was talking about the first time he had ever heard Jo O was being thrown under the bus.. I have acknowledged my error concerning the subject in my #444 post to CP..

My #433 post to you stated.. IIRC Misty, TN and some of the Cummings were attempting to throw Jo under the bus long before Chelsy ever talked to the media about the scratch and the van...JMO

Well, Elle, thats how I remember it since Jo was being discussed long before the van was ever released back to any of the Croslins..

BTW I have never once stated Ron C has used cousin Jo as a scapegoat or as a Red Herring.. The Red Herring I was referring to is the story Cobra told about the gators and never being able to find a body... if a body was put into the water in that particular area..

I'm also fully aware Ron C adamantly denied on NG that cousin Jo was ever at the MH that night eventhough TN stated on national tv that he was...And am also aware Ron C denies any fight between he and cousin Jo..or he and anyone else.. reason being... he doesn't have any enemies...I readily admit.. I do wonder WHY that is?
All just my opinion...

Thank you for the article Blue, so it was Lindsey reporting that. What is interesting is that Lindsey confirms rc was driving like a bat of hell past the bus stop. That confirms the Santos Story.

BUT the main thing in the long article is that misty DID walk Haleigh in AND she was late. That may explain the Attendance Record that I have been suspicious of since day one. I knew the typing was not done by a school official and that was confirmed by a poster that she indeed added it.

Now we have an Attendance Record that started to say absent but was partially erased and looked like "present".

If Lindsey's report is true and misty told her truth for the first time that we know of, then we have another new clue (and maybe fact) for this case.

You're welcome. Thanks to the person who posted it upon request. I enjoy the team work we have achieved here.

I remember Jerry Santos said he couldn't see who else was in the car because Ron's car windows were tinted; however it appears true Ron & Misty woke up late Monday morning, drove his daughter to school and she arrived late; a claim corroborated by the attendance record you refer to which was initially marked absent but was partially erased and appears to be marked present. Whether Misty walked HaLeigh into her classroom has yet to be corroborated by a school witness. Thanks Whisperer.

What is interesting is that Lindsey confirms rc was driving like a bat of hell past the bus stop. ....... Actually it was AH’s sources who said Ronald was driving like a bat out of hell not Lindsy and LE would not under any circumstances divulge what Misty told them to AH's sources. The information AH said Lindsy disclosed to him about TN is hearsay and an article or interview with TN is necessary to corroborate these allegations. AH should have interviewed TN to confirm what Lindsy said IMO. If such a document exists which prove TN asked Misty to babysit, please post.

<snipped from AH article>
“That night, sources close to the case tell me she (Misty) told police she and Ronald stayed up all night fighting, and overslept. Frantic he might be late dropping Haleigh again after so many tardys, and risk losing custody, Ron Cummings loaded her and Misty into his purple Altima and drove like a bat out of hell, neighbors told me in exclusive interviews, nearly running down other children at the bus stop.

After hearing about Ron's flurry of phone calls, it took a real stretch to think that he was @ work & did not get reprimanded. There's no way that many calls went unnoticed. If he wasn't in trouble before, I think he got in trouble, afterwards. THIS IS SPECULATION. If he was caught on the phone, & did get reprimanded, his punishment might have been being sent home early-the start of a suspension, so to speak. This may have been when he called Tommy, to look for Misty. I don't know how he got to work, but it's possible that he was needing a ride from Misty. If they had argued earlier, & she turned the phone off in retaliation, Ron would've been angry @ not having a ride. This THEORY is where all of the lies of who picked up Haleigh from the bus stop, come in to play. Ron was adament that Misty didn't have access to a car. & I've always wondered why that was important-when she, herself & witnesses put her there. & then Teresa jumps in & says SHE picked her up. It was like anybody BUT Misty.

For the one year anniversary of HaLeigh having gone missing, the local paper, PDN had a special two day coverage with it all... on the front page of one of those was a photo of Joe. O. and Misty side by side, putting up posters/fliers of HaLeigh... I don't know when it was taken, but that leads me to believe that Joe O. didn't leave as early that morning as first thought? Just sayin'....

Here is something else to ponder... When I was at the Mondex on south Hwy. 19 and even further down by the Barge Canal Bridge area, there is like, NO signal for cell phones... It's a dead zone for us in that area... I had to travel back up to the Kangaroo on hwy. 19, where the majority of the satellite media vans were located in order to use my cell phone...

Marie Griffis says the family is taking the tips with a grain of salt until detectives can say whether it's valid.~ end

snip~Family members of Ronald Cummings say he got into a fight with another man over a gun one day before his daughter disappeared.

Thank you elle. There is misleading information in these reports. For example we know JO did not leave Satsuma the same morning HaLeigh disappeared like this article alleges he did. IIRC, you posted the photo of Joe hanging HaLeigh's poster in the convenience store with a young female. "Sources close to the investigation also confirmed Thursday that Croslin's cousin visited from Tennessee and left the same morning Haleigh disappeared.~ end

Matt Saffer also interviewed Chelsea Croslin and reported on the blue van after it was returned so AH isn't the only one who did. "More specific information about the van and Joe and the scratches, etc etc all came from AH in an interview with the Croslin family. "
