Here is a map of where he was last seen. If you enlarge the picture, Glenside road passes UNDER the expressway to the area to the south/southeast which I believe is the Watchung Reservation area. Glenside Rd · New Jersey 07974

If you search his name in New Providence, you can get the address he left from. The home was purchased in 2020. They've lived there several years so he should be familiar with the hiking trails in the reservation area nearby. There's a Garage Door Repair business formerly associated with that address but doesn't appear to be an active business at this time, nor recently.

I’m going to join the search tomorrow after a doctor’s appt. <modsnip> Many in this community remember the story of Matt Calder about 5 years ago, which culminated in exactly the same place where this search tomorrow will begin. Praying for a more positive outcome. <modsnip: not an approved source>
I hope this search ends with life and with recovery possible.

I live about 5 minutes from here. Glenside Road is a wooded road boardering the Watchung Mountains on one side, the other side is a narrow (maybe 20-25 ft depending on the area) greenway along Rt 78 going east. I was there yesterday, just driving through, and the entire area was blocked off with about 20 police vehicles, I thought there was construction. PLEASE look into "DESERTED VILLAGE". This is a historic village about 1 mile into the reservation, with 7-9 buildings from the early 1800's that housed workers from the old Feltville, a paper manufacturing business on Blue Creek. I know the Watchung mountains area EXTREMELY well and hike there a few times a week. THIS IS A KNOWN AREA FOR THE OCCULT. People in the area love to walk the gorgeous trails, its quiet and solitary but you will see someone from time to time, its not totally desolate. The Deserted Village is well known to occultists and has a following (check out "Weird New Jersey Deserted Village online") because 2 young girls drowned in the creek in the 1800s and there are said to be ghosts there. WHAT was Thomas doing out there at 4:45AM? Did he get dragged into some kind of full moon ritual (I believe so). MANY MANY people go missing around the Harvest moon in October due to ritual satanic sacrifice. Don't believe me? Look it up.
Additionally, there is an abandoned copper mine in there, VERY dangerous. There is also a defunct quarry (this area is known for shale and rock used for paving, lots of dangerous trapp rock, that slides out from under you in plates) AND 2 HUGE gorges, one on the yellow trail, one on the blue trail. Again, I know this area very well. The gorges are deep, at least 100 ft, more in some places, full of boulders and fallen trapp rock and fallen trees. If you fell in, good byeeeeee.

Another thought - as I said, Glenside runs parrallel to Rt 78East, very easy to someone to meet anyone to pick them up and escape something. I can totally imagine someone meeting someone one the shoulder of the road, and wham, you're out of there. Was he running from something? New life? Drugs? IDK. Also could have easily been picked up and abducted. 78 runs all the way to PA going west, and going east, you meet up with the NJ Parkway or the Turnpike, which go North/South through the entire state.

Nothing about this is normal. Nothing says "guy just taking a little stroll". I hope he is found.

Glad he was found. It stated they won't be releasing any further infromation, which is not uncommon for privacy. He had a family member with a reddit thread going confirming the available info and providing a lot of search details that a couple of days ago was suddenly deleted. So I got the feeling they found something to indicate it wasn't foul play or an accident. Wishing him well, and glad he's home.
