Thought and theories on Jeremy

I see that you live in the Black Hills, are you in WY or SD? You don't have to answer if you don't want to....My inlaws are in Newcastle, WY...About, 80 miles from Sturgis, SD... Off-topic but I lived in WY for years.

Between south of Belle Fourche and Wy.

This was AFTER the police had searched. There is no way they did not check the guns for ammo, serial # etc...In the Cyndi Short walk through, drawers were left open, so it's doubtful if they pulled those guns out of somewhere that they returned them to their original spot ~ they do NOT clean up after themselves. It's possible they laid them down after checking them out and the media propped them up, but for sure LE got to them first.

You almost had me here ;)
Until I remember that LE apparently on video, with another person. I will dig for it, but I'm sure that LE confirmed that he was alibied. Steve Young...
Here's one time it is said by LE he is verified as being at work until 3:30

Police have been able to verify that Irwin was at the Starbucks until about 3:30 a.m. and nothing unusual occurred.

There are more, but this was the first thing I came across.

Here is something that doesn't fit and it makes me wonder if the police are telling the truth about JI being on video the whole time.

They still want them both in questioning but separate.

You don't teach them not to touch them, you teach them how to use them responsibly. IMHO

Exactly. That way if your kids happen to be at a friends house whose parents don't keep their guns secure, they know not to handle the guns or be around while others are doing so. You can't always be around to protect your kids, so they need to know how to protect themselves.

Yes, I think it is kind of ridiculous to think LE is not going to check any and all possible weapons after a 17 hour search of a residence while looking for a possibly dead baby.

About the guns. . .somebody close to the family would likely know they own guns. It had to be somebody that would know DB would be knocked out.

JI said at one time that he called DB from his phone at work, but the call didn't go through. Now, DB told us the phones were redlined and they could accept calls and texts, but couldn't call out. Sooooo. . .JI calls, DB doesn't answer. . .was he checking to see if she was awake or passed out? Hmmmm. . .

right-why would they still want to question him-if he has an alibi until 330am

Why would Jeremy keep guns in a house that could not be secured because you could lift up the garage door with your little finger?

There was no door between the house and the garage?

Because I think the broken garage door story makes about as much sense as the white blob. ;)

The door is unsecured so it's best to remove your guns and nothing else?

Seems like it would be best to fix the door.

Their lawyer said that was an overlooked entry point by the police.

???? I'm not sure what that means. An access point that wasn't dusted?

Yes I agree. I think that owning guns has little to do with whether you should lock your doors or not.

Do we know it wasn't dusted?

ETA- we know LE asked for DNA from the neighbor teen who had the code to the garage door. I'm betting they processed the entry there.

Not me. Being a responsible gun owner means keeping them secured to me.

They might want to ask him about other things, not necessarily just that night, but things from before he went to work, his relationships with certain neighbours...with Deb. Maybe they have heard things and want to verify? But I don't understand why they won't just ask any way at all if these questions are so important. I don't think they have any new questions at all except for re-confirming things they've already discussed. I think they feel like some here do, that Jeremy might be the weak link.

So...since this is a theory thread...

What if Jeremy HAS taken a poly and has failed? We know that he told us in the beginning that he had not taken one, but what if since then he took one and didn't pass? We surely know that LE isn't going to release any information, and we definitely know that the lawyers aren't going to tell us. For all we know he has failed one.
