Thought and theories on Jeremy

  • #741
???? I'm not sure what that means. An access point that wasn't dusted?

I have no idea what he meant. I thought he was running the cops down by saying it.

It sure conflicted with the cops questioning the neighbor because they had the garage code.

Not me. Being a responsible gun owner means keeping them secured to me.

I apologize for being unclear. I meant to convey my belief that a home should be secured from any intruder who could harm any person or animal in residence. And be secured from any theft whether it be firearm or any other possession.

So...since this is a theory thread...

What if Jeremy HAS taken a poly and has failed? We know that he told us in the beginning that he had not taken one, but what if since then he took one and didn't pass? We surely know that LE isn't going to release any information, and we definitely know that the lawyers aren't going to tell us. For all we know he has failed one.

Maybe. . .I'm still inclined to think he refused. Remember when DB said that they just kept questioning her and she just sat there? She wanted them to stop but she didn't ask them to? She volunteered to take the poly?

And then we have JI. . .he asked to take a "break." JI says they didn't ask him to take a poly. . .I'm seriously doubting that. That would have been a HUGE mistake by LE. Even in cases like Sky's they ask both parents to take a poly. Solomon, Sky's dad, took one, even though I doubt LE ever considered him a POI.

You know there is just something about that guy. You don't know how many times I have had to go back and self correct after writing Josh when I meant Jeremy.

  • #745
Exactly. That way if your kids happen to be at a friends house whose parents don't keep their guns secure, they know not to handle the guns or be around while others are doing so. You can't always be around to protect your kids, so they need to know how to protect themselves.

I believe you are wrong. Adults should be responsible for where their children are at all times, and what is going on WITH whomever they are visiting......

Are we expecting these children to do what we have instructed them to? They are children, they are inqusitive.....

They are...C.H.I.L.D.R.E.N !!!!

Interesting.

The very first time I saw the parents, I think it was the first GMA interview, I thought DB's emotions were real (not sure if she was being truthful, but the emotions weren't fake), but found JI to be sooooo hinky. He seriously gave me the creeps. But then after learning all the details, DB didn't seem credible. BUT now I think a lot of that perception was actually coming from JI. NOW some of all this is starting to make sense.

He is very odd.

This is just so hard to believe that LE would not want him to take a LDT. Why would they NOT want him to take one?

My opinion on the gun thing. All parents should teach their child gun safety, whether they own firearms or not.

My almost 4 y/o knows that guns are not toys and that we do not point them at people. She knows not to touch a gun w/o mom & dad to help her. She even knows that you don't point toy guns at people (she doesn't have any toy guns, but Florida on her state puzzle is typically used as a gun).

I do expect her to listen and obey.

Thank you. I agree completely. I imagine that some parents would hope to be by their kids side's 24/7 until their 18yrs old but that's impossible. Education is the key.

Oct 7th. . .

“We were interrogated for a really long time Tuesday,” said Lisa’s father Jeremy Irwin. “We were there again yesterday answering questions. And I just couldn’t take it anymore. I told them I had to have a break. I told them I couldn’t do it anymore, and I asked to be let go. So they let me go from the police station. And then an hour later we saw the press conference from them

Tuesday was the 4th.

"Yesterday" would have been the 6th. . .the same day LE announced that the parents were no longer cooperating. That is the day that JI says he had to "have a break." "couldn't do it anymore" and "asked to be let go."

So he hadn't just worked a double shift.

Why would Jeremy keep guns in a house that could not be secured because you could lift up the garage door with your little finger?

Hey Doc! which is it? Are there several garages. Didn't they say the teen next door had the code for the garage? Joe T. said the door could be opened with a pinky finger.

Reporter to JI: Do you have any idea who would take your daughter

Response: Somebody who has cheated on her husband.

WTH???

This cryptic response leaves a lot on the table for people interested in psych. It gives a clue into his thinking and how he ticks. I bet the FBI profilers would love to interview him. It is a stunning remark. These words are the most interesting part of the mystery for me.

So by the second interview, an attorney is retained....hmm. He must have reconciled with his sister at this time and needed her help. Since she is studying Law, she asked a Professor to assist her brother.

By the third interview (with professor assisting) they shut off communication with LE.

I agree and I'll give you my take on that. . ..

It is such a WEIRD, completely illogical and out of context statement.

It would be like if your car was just stolen and somebody asked you, "Do you have any idea who would take your car?" and you would answer, "Maybe somebody who just ate the last chocolate chip cookie." as you were giving your SO the stink eye.

What does that tell us? That you believe that your SO just ate the last chocolate chip cookie and you are still pizzed about it.

And would it also mean you believe your SO stole your car?

No. . .but it would mean that you aren't really answering that question. It's a dig. . .showing your anger at the offender. What the question is is a bit irrelevant.

Haven't you ever done that? It's similar in a way when, say your kids ask, "Mom, where are my shoes?" And you answer, "Idk, why don't you ask the person who put the empty milk carton back in the fridge."

You might know where their shoes are. . .but you're getting in your dig, because you are annoyed by the empty milk carton, while making it appear that you are answering their question (even though you are really not.)

There's that passive aggressive thing again.

Once again, you've nailed it. To me, JI seems like a very deeply distrubed person. JMO

This is why I think JI came home, DB said something to JI after they saw BL wasn't around, something specific pertaining to SB (perhaps based on a comment that SB said to her while outside or a vibe she got from SB while outside), the first place JI goes to is SB's door? Now, why is that. We're starting to find out now (via RR) that it's not like DB and SB were life long friends. Now, you can look at that in two ways (depending on where you stand). If you believe they are guilty, you can say that DB needed to find someone to pin something on, SB is the first person that pops in her head (because that's the last person she was talking too) and tells JI this so JI goes to SB looking for BL. If you believe they are innocent, DB realized BL is gone and now something that SB told her makes her think SB took the child.

Consider this. Everyone has been criticizing (and most of it is warranted) DB about her behavior that night. What if as the night went on, SB started making comments to her about that as well, like 'you should be checking on your kids' or 'do you think it's a good idea for you to be out all hours here drinking'. SB has also been drinking, and usually as you drink, more stuff comes out of your mouth that you wouldn't normally say. Now, I know this would be hypocrisy, since SB was doing the same thing with her own daughter, but perhaps the comments were more pointed toward BL (she's a baby, you should be checking on her more). DB goes inside, goes to sleep. JI comes home, BL is missing, it goes like this:

DB: Go check SB's house
JI: Why?
DB: Well, she was giving me crap earlier about checking on BL
JI: You think she would take her out of here?
DB: Who knows what going on in her head, she was going on and on about cheating on her husband, giving me crap about BL, etc, etc, etc.

JI goes to SB's house and knocks on the door. SB answers the door, says I got no kid. Perhaps JI doesn't believe her first and asks again, SB tells him again BL isn't there, she would never take a baby, etc.

JI calls LE. Elapsed time = 15 minutes

PLEASE THANK THIS POST BEFORE POSTING

The Lisa Irwin forum appears to be made up of cliques. You know, the type you have in high school before you begin to understand that there are a lot of interesting people and places in the world and your fear of such limits the personal boundaries you set for yourself. The disrespect between the two cliques is tiresome.

That being said, we need another review of the rules (which is really just a curtesy as everyone should know them or how to find and read them by now): This is NOT hard. Post YOUR thoughts, theories and interpretations (easy enough right?). Read the thoughts of others (not hard). Respond to those that may be of a like mind (okay, that should work). If you disagree with another poster and cannot post nicely, MOVE PAST THEIR POST (how hard is that?) If another poster gets under your skin, PUT THEM ON IGNORE (only takes about a minute). If you must refute their post - then use a link and state the fact as YOU see it (you all know this case, it can't be that hard). THEN DROP IT! That's it. See, not hard. If a post offends you, ALERT it, DO NOT RESPOND TO IT, and MOVE ON. It is okay to disagree, but it is NOT OKAY to attack or make fun of others. AND THE SNARK...well, that needs to just STOP.

It is our hope this gets the message across. There are many good posters here and no matter what opinion we may hold on who we feel is responsible we all are here for Lisa Irwin and want her to come home safely and soon.

Thanks so much,

The Lisa Irwin forum moderators
