sorry curvecut but the rumors around our area at the time of Pollys Murder was exactly that..kinda like the Anthony's are doing..Sorry something i will never forget..

At lest Tim actually gets out an searched. Mark sits in a office an directs his volunteers or gets on Nancy Grace to give his opinons..Unless he actually involved in these cases hands on... I scoff at his comments just another "My opinion is right"

Mark to my knowlege has never held a job after Polly, so what is he living off of?
Well, I guess his foundation pays him a salary, just like Tim Miller and even Crystal Sheffield. Let's not act like MK is the only one getting a paycheck from a foundation.

ITA..and my final--for now :) words on this subject are these: I have said things in the heat of the moment that I later came to regret--perhaps I am not unique in this? JMO

Nope, not unique in that at all HH. It's called 'not our finest moment'....and I've umm been guilty of that maybe a time or two. :innocent:

my heart breaks for you abbra  ...as I have shared that loss as well, but I can not imagine if my two angelbabies had been my only children. One thing for sure though..the death of a child changes you, your life and the way you view life in ways that others can't imagine, doesn't it?

I think most likely Tim became too emotionally invested in this case because of being so close to Ron et al in the beginning and I DO believe that it has taken a tole on him....buttt..I have to be honest, even though I'd know better...if I had had the chance to do the same thing, I prolly wouldn't have thought twice. Right or Wrong, I guess would depend on who you ask! Maybe I'm just getting so frustrated, that right now I'm more worried about finding HaLeigh, than I am about the prosecution of the guilty party/parties. AND I'm really getting antsy about any evidence that LE has ..or doesn't have is more like it. (and I pray that they have something) Knowing something (I do believe that LE has a very good idea of what happened) and proving it beyond a reasonable doubt...well you know...

I'm believe that I'm done on this subject too. I have nothing else to add of any value...the whole thing just makes me sad. :(

Maybe you all should take a look at Marc Klaas' website just to refresh your memory about all the things that Marc Klaas has accomplished. At any rate, this isn't a pi$$ing match about who the greater person is, Klaas or Miller. This is simply about two individuals who happen to disagree with one another on the subject of Haleigh's disappearance, just like we all tend to disagree with one another. That's our legal and God-given right to have our own opinions about things.

I live in a town very close to where Polly Klass was abducted an watched an listened to everything in that Case...Personally I don't care for Mark Klass i remember those days..he just seemed to be a glory hound..Tim Miller has done more than Mark has ever done as far as finding persons.

Do you expect Tim just to sit there and take what he said on National TV..sure he was angry, If someone attacked you that way you would come out fighting..To this day I would like to know what happened to Polly Klass's Mother since they were divorced when that happened, but never heard a word about her because it was Mark Face that was all over the place..

I know alot of you like Mark that is your chose, but most of you probably don't go back that far when this happened an see him all over the TV..I would like to actually know the numbers of people he has personally found..
Is this the excuse for his hate filled rant. Are you kidding? Because this guy is insulted, he has the right to make cruel remarks about Marks dead daughter?
As a society is this what its coming to, that everything is a free for all, that this behavior is excused because tim got his feelings hurt. Oh please.
This whole thread has my stomach turning.

I don't live near there, but I go that far back in interests for true real crime. I watched alot of the trial live, I remember to this day, Richard Davis' statement to the court before he was hauled out of court during his sentencing towards Mark. What a filthy Monster. I won't even repeat his words, in case Mark reads here out of believing those words don't deserve the light of day. What you say just isn't true about the temp of that area at the time.

You have no foundation or right to compare or state that "Tim has done more than Mark" etc........ How do you place a value on helping others? What kind of help would you rate and qualify a fearful phone call from a parent who has just learned their child is missing or dead, and Mark takes that call with all his knowledge, care and authority and offers himself and services to the anguished parents in that particular moment in time? Though he didn't find their child, alive or dead, what value has Mark offered for being there on the other end of that phone call?

I'd say that it would have to not only be horrible for the parents, but the heart wrenching tugs that Mark lives daily in hearing the tearful cries of scared parents more burden than any human should have to bear, but yet he shoulders parents burdens voluntarily.

I feel the same way that Fay does, and I will always stand up for Marc Klaas. Polly deserves far better than to be trashed by Tim Miller, who lost his own daughter. Why does he think it was his job to play undercover cop to Misty??? He is a searcher. Does he suddenly think he's Leonard Padilla???

I'll stand up for ANYONE who has dedicated their life to finding missing children in whatever way their forte may be. I don't care if they draw a salary, they have to live. I don't care if they have to go about things in an unorthodox way, sometimes that has to be done...others may disagree, that's fine :) ..but... I WILL NOT trash either one of these men as they have done more than I could ever hope to do to find missing children, even if I was willing to devote my life to a similar cause, which I'm not, cause I'm too selfish. That said, they are just men, flaws and all...bad judgment at times ...imperfect, just like the rest of us. BOTH of them! What Marc said about Tim on tv was horrible and should have been handled in private...what Tim said to Marc was uncalled for and very disappointing. Should we shoot him now or later??!! JMVHHO

ok, i really am leaving this thread now without reading anything else.....peace..

Washington, PA? Very nice town, with a good small-town paper. I thought Arizona (AZ + writer).

Just for us. I do live in AZ. When I say I'm from Washington, that means I was born and lived there for 18 years. I've been a desert rat now for almost 34 years. But love the Steelers and the Pirates still!

I have to agree with you. I do believe that he spoke out of anger and rightfully so, I would have been angry too.....I was! Nevertheless he should have never said what he did. Sometimes words come tumblin' out and you can't take them back no matter how much you want to. Again, I believe this should have been handled in private, out of mutual respect for each other.

Both men have my undying gratitude and support for everything they do, even when they have human moments. (that I can relate to... saints,..not so much )

Your examination of this here is about as close as I have read to what I myself see things. I have personally seen very sincere and accomplished individuals "lose it" for just a second and they continue to pay for that one brief moment of loss of control. When an individual "loses it" online, it becomes an endless mistake because the internet is simply unforgiving plus, because the "mistake" never ends.

I agree with Mark Klaas. TM is interfering with a criminal case. TM is not qualified to do so thus he is compromising the investigation of Missing Haleigh and compromising criminal charges against others involved in the disappearance of Haleigh.
I didn't have a daughter who turned up missing and murdered but I do have a daughter who was killed by a drunk driving murderer and I know for a fact that anyone who has ever had anything bad happen to their children relives their own personal nightmare over and over when other victims go through the same as we all went through, especially the loss of a child. We feel helpless because our hands are tied that we can't do more to help. At times our grief comes back full force and knocks us down and we have to fight ( put our emotions aside) to climb our way back up to where we were before we got knocked down. Mark Klass, Tim Miller, Myself and all the others who have experienced tragedy pertaining to our children are a strong group of individuals. I do agree however that we do not have the energy nor experience to take the law into our own hands to try to get answers to unsolved questions involving criminal investigations. It saps our strenght and leaves us fragile to the point that we can't continue to do the work we want to do to make sure others don't have to experience the loss we have have gone through.
The Hailey Cummings Case has become complicated. Its up to authorities not Tim Miller to try to solve the case. Tim is a good man who does good things for others and I think he should focus on the business he has built from his tragedy. Mark Klaas continue to do good things through your organization to help others. Angry words and name calling never solved crimes but if we all work together to keep law enforcement on cases and work together to change laws to benefit our children and adults who have become victims of crime then we have done something worthwhile.

Mother of LynneMarie, my only child, age 19, a senior college student, killed by a drunk driver August 8, 1994.

Angry words and name calling never solved crimes but if we all work together to keep law enforcement on cases and work together to change laws to benefit our children and adults who have become victims of crime then we have done something worthwhile.

I remember how Tim miller criticized Leonard Padilla when searching for Caylee.I don't remember Leonard responding in such a juvenile way.
Maybe Marc Klass mispoke on NG, But Tim Miller showed his true colors!F+++ Marc Klass ...really really classless.
Living off his daughters name? ugh! I can not even comprehend that someone who is looked upon as a leader in finding missing people would even utter those words. My God, he of all people knows the pain of loosing a daughter in such a horrible way.

I am totally done with Tim Miller!!!!

This is a touch unbelievable in other ways. How can you diss an individual who is committing his life to child rescue simply because of one online statement and an argument between two excellent persons?

This isn't a soccer game, for goodness sakes

You are totally done with Tim, okay, what were you looking for in Tim, an entertainer or a person who was looking to deal with child rescue?

Clearly Padilla is a seeker of money and fame, when you equate other individuals with that individual, please be specific

Enjoy, I'm off to bed, I hope that all of you who work this out will be honest with yourself, above all. I see a whole lot of pretending on national television because they get a good makeup baking. Misty is so young, I think she's dealing with all of the media crap very well. Either she is one excellent liar, or she is a young girl who is trying to do her best to tell the truth.

Before anyone jumps and says they are done with anyone, remember this, none of us are perfect, all here to help others and learn. And we should not be so quick to condemn one that has tried so hard to put others before himself. I would never be done with Tim, I think hes pretty wonderful. JMO

IMVHO, I believe this was a tit for tat situation. Almost like a "Yo Momma is" contest, so to speak. It is sad that they have both lost sight of the most important thing at the moment... Finding HaLeigh.

On that note, I think that both MK and TM need to find a way to work together- as in HELP one another in reaching that common goal- to bring missing children home. No need for commentaries on talk shows designed to imitate news shows, no butting heads with "guest" lawyers looking to add their 2 cents worth in on every sensationalized case in the news media. I guess in other words, What I am saying to MK and TM is....

PUT YOUR BIG BOY PANTS ON AND PLAY NICE!!! THIS ISNT A COMPETITION!! ITS A CHILDS LIFE!!

Thank you very much and have a good day everyone.

I think it was totally classless of Marc Klass to say on NG show that Tim Miller should be arrested. What did he expect TM to say: Why thank you Mr. Klass, I think I will go turn myself in immediately. That was totally out of place for him to say that about Tim Miller. This case was just sitting there until TM got involved again. Whatever it takes to get to the truth in this case, I am for it!

MK said TM should be arrested on national tv. Maybe MK shouldn't have said that about TM who has a proven track record of getting out and getting dirty while actually searching for missing/lost people. TM goes where many of us wouldn't or couldn't. I don't believe it was up to MK to make that comment.

I say, "bravo" to TM for answering back. In my opinion he told it as it is.

Jeez, Annie, I didn't see your post when I posted that. I've been thinking about this for a while now. Glad some of us have come to the same conclusion.

Has there been some "sibling rivalry" going on between MK and TM? I mean, even before this exchange? IMO this sounds like the bitter feelings didn't come out of the blue.

Anyway, why would TM need to be arrested? What would be his crime?

Even if someone is acting as fishy as Misty, other people are allowed to try and get close to them, for whatever reason.
