She is a child, however-so probably vulnerable to the push and pull of adults around her...especially any adults who pretend to care about her.

Thats the part of the reported "sting" that disturbs me. i understand the desire of those around her to shake the truth from her, especially if there is a chance Haleigh might be alive...but I think it stinks. JMO. Again, lol.

My first comment concerning Ron supposedly texting Misty the news about Donna Brock being a plant. First off, I'm actually shocked at all those who are shocked, LOL, shocked at all the disgust and questioning of why? And all the extreme replies to why Ron text Misty this info, though I'm not upset or offended, as it's not all that important as best I can tell.

My opinion, I would be totally shocked and have a bad taste in my mouth if Ron hadn't informed Misty. They are married. This is his wife. If my husband wouldn't have gave me a heads up concerning something of this nature, dog house motel comes to mind.

You know, what ever happened to just good ole down right "Honesty"? Just letting something be what it is? Is that something I dreamed up. Why not just state your purpose, state your mission, show a little respect and honor?

If Tim was so concerned about Misty's safety, finding Haleigh, helping LE, helping RC and family out during this emotional hard time roller coaster as RC's supposed suicidal/homicidal self proclaimed tendencies, Motherless, friendless, key holding Misty, who not just say so? Why not just say, "Hey Mist Hon, I've seen alot being involved in this case. You need a friend, a confidant, someone to hang with and give you some time to think and get away from the storms into some peaceful quietness, let me pay and set you up with Donna? You remember Donna, right? The woman you befriended and liked so much from my organization TES?

She has the time, cares and wants to help out. Go be with her, trust her and lets do what's best and take this time and see where it goes? What cha say?

Why not tell Misty you wanted to do these things? Why be so sneaky, undercover and take all these chances of exposure and possibly alienating Misty and RC further with antics like this? Who can respect this? To me, my opinion, so much of this has been going on during this entire case, by important players that's it's driven wedges and distance. Reaching out to others, showing concern and care, being nice, truthful and respecting a person in my experience gets you places with that person.

Being armed with the information of knowing how Misty has been betrayed by so many already in her life, why would you continue to do the same? If Misty did have anything else to reveal, I could understand her not trusting those in authority as their the ones condoning these things all around her.

All of those posting about contacting members of the families and agencies, media etc.... scares me terribly. I feel so sorry for Haleigh's family on both sides. We ought to leave these families in peace, authorities are very close to them, along with family and friends overseeing them in support, care and love.

His action in warning her doesn't even make sense. What's he going to do? He's divorcing her and he's going to call her, text her, warn her, give her hope that maybe they'll get back together someday. What is going on with him?

I'm almost afraid to say it (and I know I'm not saying it the right way) but Ron doesn't strike me as the brightest crayon in the box and I find that very dangerous. Besides the fact that he's dealing with his daughter being missing, this article shows that he may need more help than what he's getting.

Well, Tim Miller as quoted by a blogger whom we don't know. It's not Tim Miller as quoted by the New York Times or some other reputable source. That's why hearsay isn't allowed in court. People can make stuff up--even journalists, although there are at least some ethical standards and cross-checks on what they report. That observation (it's a blogger with no established credibility) goes for both the supposed incident with Ron and everything else in this blog. These people are all using Haleigh's disappearance to further their own agendas.

And if Miller repeated something he heard from Ron in the privacy of his home, and released that information for public dissemination, shame on him. What we don't know is: did Miller suggest counseling? call someone in LE to alert them that Ron is depressed and may be suicidal? call Ron's lawyer to alert him? If it was such a big dramatic moment, what has Miller done in the past month to ensure that Ron wouldn't harm himself? It may be just a story to make Miller look better for being involve in the Misty road rage incident. In any event, I agree with Cherry Baby; even if this story isn't true, Ron could use some help managing the stresses of having a missing child (along with whatever other issues he may have).

And I also agree with Kool Look; who are perfect strangers to call child welfare agencies or LE with internet blog rumors? What idea do we have that Junior's mother would be a better custodian of him, since she seems nearly incapable of coherent thought when she appears on television? A court decided custody. Ron was cleared of allegations of abuse. He should have his son removed because of something a blogger writes on the internet?

Something is very wrong with this story and I honestly find it terribly hard to believe. Yah, this is his wife that he is presently divorcing. This is the woman that he is married to for 6 months and he is now divorcing.

He admits to her inconsistencies and story changing yet he wants to alert her that someone may be trying to get the truth out of her. He speaks out both sides of his mouth and frankly it sounds very much like Misty saying the same things over and over so, neither one of them is making much sense. You have to question their motives when they don't match their actions. If it doesn't quack like a duck, it's not a duck.

Everyone makes mistakes. Tim M. included. Yet, when it comes to strong character when fighting for the missing, he's right up there in my book. If you've ever spoken to Tim for 5 minutes, you know what I say is true. You think for one minute that half of the posters in this forum wouldn't lie if it meant finding out where Haleigh is? I'm one........in a heartbeat.

lol, Never said he was perfect. I will say I will trust him before I trust any of the players involved in this case. Why in the world would Tim risk his reputation lying about these people? Why would he tarnish the reputation of TES and all of his hard working volunteers over these people? He wouldn't. The only thing Tim wants is to be able to find Haleigh. The same thing we all want. Tim works hand in hand with LE all of the time, I'm sure this case is no different. Some do not like what Tim has had to say about Ron and Misty, and that's where the problem really is. There has never been a question about Tim being one of the good guys, until this case.....and that's a shame that people will choose to try and slam Tim Miller before they believe anything bad about Ron and Misty.

If Tim Miller witnessed Ron do what he said in front of Jr. then I do not feel he has done enough to protect Jr. If he truly reported that to PCSO, why do you think Jr. is still there? That act is more than enough to remove him AND have Ron Baker acted. I'm just not buying it, it doesn't make sense.

If you had witnessed it, would you have just let it go if the info. was not acted upon? Would you not do everything you could to get that child out of that situation? Tim's money would have been much better spent on a competent lawyer for CS to sue for custody on the grounds of child endangerment.

I don't think it is matter of whether or not anyone believes Misty/Ronald over Tim Miller but more of the fact, at least to me, that he should leave the investigation to the authorities. He was asked to participate in the search for Haleigh. To me, that doesn't include sending a "mother figure" to befriend Misty. I have alot of respect for Mr. Miller's work on missing person's cases but he should leave it at searching and not trying his hand at police work. Had any of them been so honestly concerned about Misty's safety, then I truly have to wonder why she was dropped off at a gas station?
