Tim Miller Interview re: Blanchard Search

Don't get me wrong on this. I admire Mr. Miller tremendously for what he does. Maybe he is spreading himself to thin though. He seems to feel deeply for all of these families, but seems to be hopping about. Maybe if he would stay longer in one spot until it seems that everywhere has been searched then it wouldn't seem like he is giving up. He seems to feel guilty when he has to leave one area to go to another.

While I do not doubt that both TM and LP do WANT to find Caylee, the two men and their motives are very different. TM is searching with the blessing and request of LE and is using the information and facts that they have willingly supplied him in order to determine WHERE to search. LP is using hunches that are in NO WAY based in fact or on LE information. He jumps from one hunch to the next minute by minute.

Since LP has NOT been approved or sanctioned by LE, he is very much in danger of jeopardizing the case against Casey. Any type of evidence that he might locate or find would never hold up in court because he has made it clear that he is determined to condemn Casey. Tim has been adamant that all searchers be instructed on procedures, that they do not speak with media, and that they may not make calls or take photos of the search. LP has allowed and encouraged photographers, television and print media and untrained lookiloos being in the middle of everything that he does.

One man is in this to find a child and to find and preserve correctly any evidence which might be around. The other is in it to find Caylee and then do every talk show interview that he can get his face into.

Tim is needed and wanted elsewhere. He is wise enough to realize that no one single missing person is more important than another. If he can go to North Carolina and perhaps find two or three or four, it would be unconscionable to waste his time, money and resources in Florida on a hopeless search. Caylee or her body could be anywhere, there is no area to which it can be narrowed down to search any further.

Tim is as disappointed as anyone could ever be to leave without finding this child. However, he is also wise and experienced and needed elsewhere. If he says that he has searched all areas requested by LE in this case, there is nothing more for him to do. It is impossible to search hundreds of square miles of scrub areas when there is NO indication that Casey or anyone else who had Caylee was ever there.

So TM said they froze TES credit cards because 37,000 had been spent by day one. What was it spent on? heard hotels and airfare were part of it. Food and water were donated, time, equip,etc donated. Didn't he say he was flying 100 "team members" in? at $200 a plane ticket and probably at least $60 a night in hotels, that adds waaaayyy up...how much was spent on THE SEARCH? I understand some travel/hotel expense but where did they stay? That's a lot of bucks!QUOTE]

Thank you! That's what I asked about a week ago. If TES runs on donations and volunteers what is costing so much money? I am sure there is money to be spent, no question, but just how much does it cost to a bunch of volunteers (that pay $35 to sign up!) to search???

I think he might have stayed longer, if so many didn't have ulterior motives with this search. He said, because of these motives he loses focus and when he loses focus he has to move on. This whole case has been crazy.

I have no actual accounting information, but if they brought along 100 TES personnel and searchers, dogs, horses, boats, command center trailers, four wheelers, tents, had to rent port a potties, get electrical hookups, provide airline tickets, gas, places to board horses, at least 50 hotel rooms for a week (they were there for several days before the 3 day search started), buy parks department permits, gas for their vehicles, printing costs for information sheets and volunteer sign up sheets, flags to mark evidence, arrange for buses for searchers, and a hundred other things I can't even begin to think of........that money could go VERY fast.

I sort of agree with Mr. Miller. The tragedy that happened to Caylee has been turned into a circus like atmosphere. No offense to Murt and people watching his stream, but to me, it's sort of outlandish for someone to be riding around filming everything for the internet and now even accepting donations. Then there's the Rev. giving sermons after all his interviews running down the grandparents that Caylee loved. LP is searching but has had so many theories and done so many interviews and now a memorial service as if Caylee were placed right there on that spot. I hope that TES gets a good advisor so they can become and remain totally professional and work only with authorities giving few interviews that remain totally professional.

I never heard or read anything from the Rev Grund "running down the grandparents that Caylee loved" aka the As. Can you please provide a link? Where is your source of this info?

All that to pull out after 1 1/2 days of searching? Oh, I realize some were still searching while they dismanteled the command post, but really, that seems like a big waste of money to me.

I hate that the search teams are disagreeing so badly. The A's are behind it - guaranteed - hate to say that but the more they can stir up, the less focus is on finding a body...turn LP and TES against each other, throw MURT in the mix and you have an Anthony party...

Could you provide a link concerning Murt accepting donations? I have heard Murt say any and all donations that anyone wants to send should go to TES.

Why does Rev G's prayer vigil today have anything to do with the A's. It was all about Caylee! As it should be.

I agree. TM knew exactly what he was dealing with as far as the A's when he made preparations to come back. He supposedly pulled out last time and the time before that because of their attitude.

I'm sorry, but this is just too flakey. And it's not okay the way people gathered to help, donated tme and money, put their lives on hold -- after he publicized it would go on at least until Tuesday. I am not impressed.

This is not a quote from SS . . . and TES is very impressive in my book! They typically have the cooperation & support of families they work with when searching for missing people.

I'm glad you think money grows on trees. Many of us have known or know of Tim Miller and Equusearch for a long time. He has the utmost credibilty and respect for what he does. Has LP lost a child? No he has not. Let's not forget this is the guy that came riding in on his high horse gonna save the day by getting Casey to tell where Caylee is. It's been nothing but this kind of crap out of him over and over again. I stand behind TM all the way.
