My son never got earaches, but I guarantee you if he was crying from one and I had good insurance, as I am SURE she did from where Kaine works, I would be waiting at the Doctor's office.

During the day, I can possibly see driving around for a bit, but I would NEVER then go work out and leave my sick child in daycare. I'd bring him back home if/when the driving had calmed him down.

I bet she does have receipts from her shopping. So where was Kyron? I also agree with another poster that he could have been covered up in the back of the truck. That makes me so sad. I was hoping against hope she handed him off, but now I think something else happened... I had been quite supportive of her, but with this new information-NO.

She is involved. IMO.

I bet she can prove she was at the workout center too. She took him somewhere during that fake earache drive.

According to multiple sources, Terri Moulton Horman says she left Skyline School at 8:45 in the morning without Kyron the day he disappeared and that between 8:45 a.m. and 10:10 a.m. she ran errands at local grocery stores and can prove it.

Driving on Rural Roads

Between 10:10 in the morning and 11:39, Terri said she drove her daughter K around on rural roads in the family’s white truck because K had an earache. She said she was trying to soothe the toddler with the motion of the vehicle.

* New info: She told investigators that she drove K around a series of rural roads for an hour, saying she was trying to calm her down because she didn't feel well.

Gym and Then Back Home

At 11:39 a.m., Terri checked in at a 24-hour Fitness in Beaverton on Waterhouse Avenue and worked out for about an hour until 12:40 p.m.

* New info: She went to the gym for about 45 minutes that morning and arrived home about 1 p.m. to post pictures from the science fair on her Facebook page.

By 1:21, Terri said she'd traveled home - a distance of nearly 11 miles - and was posting photos on Facebook she'd taken that morning of Kyron standing with his science project and of his friend, K, standing with his.

Sources said she also e-mailed the teacher to find out when she could come pick up the project as she had not taken it home.

Wait. Whoa. Hold the phone. Kyron's been gone 51 days, and they're just now examining the videos from the stores she visited to verify she was there?

This is July 25. The videos had already been turned in by July 9.

Isn't it kind of important to verify what Terri says? Or is it just me?

She may have given LE a different account of her whereabouts until recently (or said she couldn't remember exactly where she went or in what order, etc.), but maybe she changed her story, hence the request for video tapes? Or perhaps the failed polygraph was about her schedule that day. I trust that LE had no reason to check those tapes before - something about her story must have changed for them to just now be corroborating her timeline for that day.

As for the delay in viewing the tapes, perhaps LE just doesn't want to comment, so they give a generic statement that they are examining the tapes.

Also, FWIW, I don't think the smoking gun with regard to the timeline is the time after Terri went to the gym and the time she arrived home. The article is misleading, IMHO. I don't think Terri is asserting that it took 40 minutes to drive 11 miles, but from her clocking out at the gym to her posting pictures on Facebook are bookends to verifiable accounts of her day. There's not a 40 minute gap in her timeline just in the ability of LE to verify it.

No, I disagree. From following all the cases I have for many years, LE checks everything to corroborate it. They have to, to collect evidence for trial.

And besides, they've had the tapes prior to July 9. They should have been checked by now.

I'm positively floored. They should have checked them immediately to rule her in or rule her out. Because if she's innocent, then the person who did this (whatever this ends up being) is out there, and needs to be caught, so we can find out what happened to Kyron and where he is.

This also goes back to what I posted on another thread about my concerns about there being only 3 people checking all the thousands of pages of records that have been subpoenaed. This needs to move faster. Kyron needs to be found.

Interesting thought BeanE. If TMH is involved, who would she be able to get take Kyron from the school without being noticed? Do you think she arranged it with Kyron, saying something like I have to run, but so-and-so will pick you up around front to take you to your appt? Or do you think she had someone just snatch him? I keep writing different scenarios and then deleting them because I just can't figure out how she would have gotten someone else to get him out of school and that person has not come forward by now - unless she paid someone to abduct and kill him, or abduct and sell him. I just don't know....

If it's true that she tried to hire someone to murder her husband, it's possible she hired someone to abduct Kyron. She probably would have set it up with Kyron ahead of time, telling him that her friend was going to pick him up at school and she'll meet him at the doctor's office. That way, Kyron would go with the person willingly. If she did pay someone to abduct Kyron, she might have told him/her to make sure that Kyron is taken far away from the Portland area or even out of state, and that's why searches haven't found him.

Last night the idea popped in my head that TH realized she had to kill Kyron before Kaine because if Kaine died first Desiree and Tony would get custody of Kyron and Kaine's estate would be SPLIT between Kyron and baby K meaning that TH would only get half!

She sent her bio son out of the home to eliminate another witness in the home knowing what she was about to do.

The timeline doesnt make sense to me because I don't understand why it took her 40 minutes to drive home 11 miles from the gym???

I believe she went to the gym to shower and change clothes so she could wash off any potential evidence of the crime and get rid of the clothes.....which is why it took 40 minutes to go home.

And the driving around 90 minutes to soothe baby K definately does not pass the smell test!

Does anyone know when LE processed that truck? I don't think solid evidence was found or Terri would be arrested now.

If the truck was that clean and that is indeed where Kyron was killed then the manner of death was very clean/bloodless.

Agreed -- and I have a feeling we're not going to see Kyron on any store videotape I just wish we knew where this little guy is!

If the truck was that clean and that is indeed where Kyron was killed then the manner of death was very clean/bloodless.

And I don't think Kaine would be driving all over town in the truck his little boy was murdered in.

Investigation focuses on holes in Terri Horman's story

Investigators have been comparing where she said she was with what they have been able to establish about her movements that day.

There are some things she did that day that were confirmed.

She went to the gym for about 45 minutes that morning and arrived home about 1 p.m. to post pictures from the science fair on her Facebook page.

Surveillance video from stores she said she was at,along with roads she claims to have traveled were being studied to test the veracity of where she said she was for a portion of the morning.

In the video that's along with the article, the reporter was at Skyline School and show searchers doing another search today, saying they want to search that area once again.

I wonder if LE has some new information from one of the people they've interviewed?

Last night the idea popped in my head that TH realized she had to kill Kyron before Kaine because if Kaine died first Desiree and Tony would get custody of Kyron and Kaine's estate would be SPLIT between Kyron and baby K meaning that TH would only get half!

I don't think it took her that long to drive home ... just that by 1:21 p.m. she was posting pictures.

The second article posted indicated she had said she arrived home about 1 p.m. That would be about 20 minutes.

God forbid, I think LE may be retracing their initial steps, trying to do it quietly, but there is no way to do that, with the wall at the school.

Also, with the daycare, I will be working out and they will make announcements over the PA system for a certain parent to show up at the daycare (ie. their kid is uncontrollable, crying, sick, etc.) and they have made the same announcments over and over and I always wondered if the parents decided to go for a run in the area (it is within a fairly level business park with a recreation center with running paths nearby) and decided to take their chances with their kids behaving. You can check in at the front desk, check in with the daycare, and actually leave because the daycare people would not be able to see that you actually left the building for a while, then came back in.

So...you are raising the possibility that TH *might* have dropped baby K at the gym daycare and then left, which would give her a cover story for where she was at that time. This is of interest because the time she was at the gym coincides with the time that DDS was out of contact with the people at the house where she was working.

Multnomah County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Mary Lindstrom said 30-or-so searchers were out again. However, she said it's a routine part of the investigation, and not directly tied to a new tip.

I don't think 12:40 until posting on FB at home at 1:21 gives her much time to be running around. The gym is something of a drive, isn't it, from her house? And getting the bay inside, unpacked, groceries put away, etc...that timing is not that off to me.

WOW - that makes total sense. So obvious, and yet I never have seen it mentioned before as a motive.

Another very obviously sensible thought. The "drive through the country" was just prior to the gym visit. She could even have had a clean set of clothing waiting in a locker there. Does anyone know if there are permanent lockers available at that gym?

Or, perhaps DDS could have helped her out by bringing her a change of clothes.
