FWIW, here are some things Chelsea said that caught my interest.
On Mistys LVA, she said she stayed at the trailer while Ron went to the bus stop to pick up HaLeigh because Junior was sleeping. AFAIK Ron didn't say Misty went with him to pick up HaLeigh and although Chelsea didn't see Misty in the car with Ron, Misty told Chelsea she was there.
Chelsea said Ron and Misty were broken up Monday and Misty said Teresa phoned her to babysit Monday evening, yet on the LVA, Misty said she woke up with Ron and the kids Monday morning, they drove to granny's to get an outfit for HaLeigh, and she walked HaLeigh to her classroom. Misty said her and Ron went back to bed and woke up at noon making it appear there were no hard feelings between them. TN said Misty and Ron were back together Sunday night. When Ron got home from work he said he was surprised to see Misty up because normally she is sleeping when he gets home from work.
Didn't Rons lawyer Terry Shoemaker say Ron arrived 45 minutes early for his shift on Monday? Well according to Chelsea, Ron was late for work that day because he picked up HaLeigh from the bus which arrived at the stop at 3:36 pm and normally Ron left for work by 2:40 pm. and sometimes earlier. It sounds like Ron normally worked 3 pm -11 pm and if he worked late, he was off by 1 am.
CHELSEA CROSLIN: Yeah, Ronald did work nights. Im not going to say that he didnt. Ronald worked late some nights, 3 oclock in the morning, that is a little bit late for his normal work hours he usually came home at 11 oclock, between 11 pm and 1 am usually, somewhere around there was when Ronald usually came home. It was very rare for him to be there so late that night. It was also very rare for the fact that when I went to pick up my nephew that day from the bus stop because whoever is usually closest to the keys is the one who goes and when I realized what time it was, I went down there and I didnt know if I was picking up HaLeigh and Austin. You know sometimes they both get off. Ronalds car was there. He had all the windows up and he wouldnt talk me, he wouldnt let me see who was in the vehicle. He wouldnt let my daughter talk to him. That was rare because Ronald was always very good with my daughter; her and HaLeigh were very close and he completely ignored all of us. HaLeigh had a smile on, she come running off the bus. She peeked into the windows and she got in the car so she was excited to see somebody. Afterwards I found out it was Misty who was in the car with her, or with Ronald, but why he was there picking her up from the bus stop instead of being at work I dont know? Because he was never there, he left about 2:40 pm, maybe earlier than that, and the bus didnt come until 3:36 pm that day.
CHELSEA CROSLIN: It was the bus stop at the top of the road where like um Crystal Sheffield had her tent set up right at the top of the road where the railroads met. I dont know whoever had gone down there but right there at the top, thats the bus stop where the white fence is and all the cars would pull in there so it was Ronald who was in the car and supposedly Misty was in the car too but the windows were rolled up and I didnt see Misty, but that is what she told us, she called us later on and said hey Im down here because as far as we knew they had broken up. She said Teresa and Annette were paying her to babysit. She didnt want to but they asked her, begged her to stay and told her they would pay her to do it. So that is the only reason, her and Ronald werent even together the night HaLeigh went missing.
LEVI PAGE: What was their relationship that night? Were they fighting?
CHELSEA CROSLIN: I mean I didnt see Misty that day. So I hadnt seen Misty since the day before when she wasnt with Ronald so obviously thats why she was hiding because she didnt want us to see her with Ronald because she knew that we wouldnt be happy about it. I wanted them to be broken up when they were. He wasnt the right person for her and he was controlling her and he was hurting her and I wanted the best for her, I wanted her to get away from that bad situation. She goes home and all of a sudden HaLeigh goes missing? Its just a little fishy.
Here is the part about how Mistys blanket got in the van they took.
CHELSEA CROSLIN: Okay. As far Mistys blanket - it was a green blanket that Misty has had for years. It was in the van. It wasnt missing from the home. It was in the van. The cops had it along with all of Mistys clothes. Everything that Misty owned was in the van because when she and Ronald had broke up; Ronald took all of her stuff and threw it in the front yard of Nay Nays house. Nay Nay Prevett. He threw it all out there so they called me and told me that Ronald had just done that so I went over there, Nay Nays mother called me, I went over there, I picked up all of Mistys stuff, put it in Lindsys van and drove it back to Lindsys house while Misty was doing her thing that weekend she never got her stuff out of the van and none of us took it out of the van and put it into the house and after that the Police took the van. So all of Mistys stuff was taken. She hadnt had her clothes or anything from the weekend before HaLeigh went missing until 2 months later when the cops finally returned the van.
