It might not be a crime if they didn't know a drug deal was going to take place, but surely hauling boodie would be a crime...kind of like leaving the scene of an accident. moo.

It is ridicules that they did not pick up Katrina. The UC were there to deliberately make a bust. So they allow the person dropping off one of the offenders leave. Just go on her merry way, like she wasn't or couldn't have been a part of it.

Have had thoughts as to why it was that UC kept up the guise of the sting after umpteump times of dealing with Misty. Maybe UC did know something else other than the Misty is the key routine, three UC stings on tape would have been plenty enough for her and Ron to be put away for a long time. I don't think it was just a coincidence that HS was just along for the ride the one time. imo I think she could have been the one on the 911 recording and LE maybe figured it out. omo.

I hope something happens in this case soon as I come to Websleuths to read about true crime with no rumors and all their is on this case so far has been speculation and people taking sides. I know it is hard sometimes to keep focus on the missing child but this seems to be a fight between the Hatfields and McCoys.... sad.
I only know that LE said that Ron was at work and that the employees donated their vacation pay to Ron at the time, which told me that he PROBABLY didnt do anything to his daughter as his work mates would know more than we do for sure. I also know the LE said that Haleigh was the target of a homicide. i just do not know why her parents did not have a memorial for her or anything? It is all so messed up, I sure hope whatever happened to Haleigh somehow appears as she didnt deserve this....

Just because people donated time doesn't mean they knew or even worked with him. My understanding is ron worked in the yard, alone, that night.

That's money and time those people will never see again...shameful.

BBm: IMO, you can't talk about Tommy calling LE when Ron Cummings beat the crap out of him without talking about Ron Cummings putting a beheaded rat in Tommy's mailbox. To me, the beheaded rat in the mailbox speaks volumes to me. The meaning is so obvious and also what really stands out like a sore thumb is that LE did absolutely nothing about this threat and the tampering with a witness act. Why the capital "H" not?

The reason being they had no witness. Misty lied for him and told LE that 'ron was w/her all night at Gma Sykes.

Remember TM talking about that. Ron told him he had misty lie to LE to see how good she was...hmmm.

Didn't LE do the search based on Tommy's LDT? They surely wouldn't have put all that effort into the dock if they didn't verify it by poly, would they? One would think that they asked tommy about the disposal and he responded and the poly confirmed it.

What do you mean no witness? The neighbor told LE she saw Ron C put something in Tommy's mailbox that night . Also, I refuse to believe LE is not aware of the statement Ron C made to TM and MN. Ron C admitted he was the one who put the rat in the mailbox and IIRC TM even approached Tommy and asked him to drop the charges..Was John Merchant behind that request? My understanding is he was the one sent out to take the report and investigate the incident.JMHO

After thinking about it. They decided not to charge him...but left it sit there just in case.

They could have got him on tampering with a witness once they got TM's statement. BUT if you think about it that would not be a good idea because they would involve the Haleigh case. He could not be brought up on Haleigh charges again if they were mentioned in another charge against him. I am guessing that is the reason we didn't see it. He would have bailed out and got a very short sentence, if any. They went for the big time w/drug charges instead.

Sometimes people don't give misty enough credit. I recall her family saying how she whipped things into shape and knew how to get things done. She was not a shrinking violet though she played one on TV.

Yes, John M. did eventually handle this matter. Another officer went right over to AS's house and asked for ron. AS told the officer he was in St Augustine for the day. (my take is probably talking to Shoemaker)

Ron and AS talked and he told her the only officer he will talk to is Merchant. And what do u know?? Merchant was there at AS's house talking to rc AT rc's convenience.

The hey Baby stuff was kind of mind blowing. I don't like saying this because it changes the dynamics of Ron, (and his record should speak for itself), but Misty really did seem to have a certain hold on Ron. She bragged about taking him away from his ex, according to Chelsea, he showered her with gifts, ( including a car), he took her back after WBG, he told Cobra he loved that S O *, he married her, (even though he didn't marry the mothers of his children), according to her mom, he paid for her tattoo, and then they dealt drugs together. When looked at the whole picture, she seemed to have more of a hold on him, than he did her...but was it big enough for him to cover for her murdering his child? IDK, but after this happened, it sure didn't take long for him to get back with her. There was a reason she left and went to her mom's. Was it because of him suspecting her, or was it something else? Actually, it's been a long while since I've bought the idea of Misty covering for Ron-at least exclusively. Chelsea's story of Misty loving Ron so much or being scared of him, seemed so ridiculous, that it had the opposite effect, IMO. just made me more sure that Misty isn't covering for him. MOO

about them getting back together...FH said she heard Misty was in on a plot to steal Ron's gun. This may be how she got involved in this and Ron may have forgiven her because she wasn't the actual perp. IDK how, but I do believe that gun had something to do with this, because it sure took Ron long enough to admit to the fight. MOO.

First thought while reading your post? Maybe LE were hoping that Teresa would step forward and confess to being with Haleigh when she died so that she could "save" her son.:waitasec:
