Timmy & Chelsea Croslin; and the hours before Haleigh went missing.

logic says she wouldn't have stayed quiet if she wasn't guilty, but, (& I'm not being facetious here), I've come to realize, that these people don't follow normal logic. Ron didn't talk until he got a deal, & he's evidently not the killer, & if it took a deal to get the not guilty dad to cooperate, what would it take to get the not guilty babysitter to talk? & I'm basing all of this on LE'S claim, that he did indeed shut off communication, & the assumption, that since he was given a deal, he's not guilty. & also the assumption, that Misty's not guilty. (big assumption, I know). It's MOO, that they consider Haleigh 'family business', & they didn't, ( don't), want outsiders prying into family business. too many skeletons in the closets.
I'm trying to follow all you guys' opinions and angles; and granted, I'm not sure that I totally correctly understand the mechanics of ron's "deal" - [if that's the word (?)]...
.... but what is it about Ron's saying that he'll talk... what is it about that that seems to indicate his lack of involvement in whatever happened to haleigh? I'm not being facetious either; I'm sincerely trying to understand the logistics of the "deal." I guess I dont see the connection bw his decision to talk (or LE's seeking his agreement to talk) and his involvement - or lack thereof. I dont see how his deal to talk indicates his lack of involovment. I didnt say that very well, but maybe you got what I was trying to ask . :-)

I'm not gonna call Chelsea a liar on some of this, because there would be no reason to lie, but Misty could've gone back to Ronald the night before, & hidden it from Chelsea. & we're back to TN paying Misty & not the other way around. & now GGS has been added to that mix. I don't know what to make of the bus stop. Witnesses saw Misty, Ron claimed to go alone, & now Chelsea claims they were both there. so every possible scenario is covered. & Ron's work hours just got even more confusing. I'm not sure if I'm buying the blanket story. seems too pat. How do we know some old green blanket, is the infamous blanket?

Chelsea isn't claiming Ron and Misty were both at the bus stop, Misty is; yet during her LVA, Misty said she was at home with Junior who was asleep. Chelsea said she saw Ron and HaLeigh at the bus stop and although Misty told her later that evening she was there in the car, Chelsea doesn't know for a fact if Misty was telling the truth because she couldn't see inside the car, Misty didn't get out of the vehicle, and Ron never said Misty was with him when he picked up HaLeigh.

Chelsea said she saw Misty on Sunday before she went back to Ronald and she didn't approve of their relationship. Levi asked Chelsea if Ron spoke to Misty over the weekend and told her to bring a condom because Nay Nay said Ron spoke with Misty over the weekend and Misty agreed to go back so if this is true Misty wasn't forced to go back by TN, AS, HaLeigh or Junior like she claims she was. Misty didn't want Nay Nay to drop her off at Ron's because Ron didn't like Nay Nay. All Chelsea said was there were condoms at Ron's house because she got one from there. So Misty hid the truth from Chelsea that she wanted to go back to Ron because she wanted to do as she pleased.

My opinion is Misty left her belongings in the blue van after Nay Nay dropped her off at her relatives because she didn't want Chelsea to know she was going back to Ron or she would have asked her to drive her over there so she could take her belongings back in the house. So Misty made an excuse to get out of the house to hide the fact it was her and Ron's decision to be together.

MO is Misty told everyone TN, AS, HaLeigh and Junior coerced her into going back and even offered to pay her, to get Chelsea off her back because it gave Misty an excuse for disobeying her. Misty didn't like Chelsea interfering in her relationship with Ron and I doubt Ron did either which could explain why Ron picked HaLeigh up that day and ignored Chelsea. Ron wanted Misty to himself and Timmy and Chelsea were an obstacle for them. Rather than tell Chelsea to mind her own business and to let Misty go, Misty said she was manipulated and forced to go back by Ron’s family members. TN never said she paid Misty to babysit; she said Misty was back at Ronald's Sunday night and they were up all night talking. Misty said she was forced back to Ron's because it gave her an excuse so her family would not be mad at her.

We never knew Chelsea disapproved of her relationship with Ronald and tried to separate her from Ron until Chelsea gave this interview but we know Tim and Ron got into an argument because Ron wouldn't allow Misty to talk with them over the phone.

<snipped>

CHELSEA CROSLIN: I mean I didn’t see Misty that day. So I hadn’t seen Misty since the day before when she wasn’t with Ronald so obviously that’s why she was hiding, she didn’t want us to see her with Ronald because she knew that we wouldn’t be happy about it. I wanted them to be broken up when they were. He wasn’t the right person for her and he was controlling her and he was hurting her and I wanted the best for her, I wanted her to get away from that bad situation. She goes home and then all of a sudden HaLeigh goes missing? It’s just a little fishy.

LEVI PAGE: Yeah, when you are talking about granny, you are talking about Annette Sykes. Do you remember a conversation between Ron and Misty where Ron tells Misty to bring a condom home?

CHELSEA CROSLIN: I don’t know. As far as I remember Ronald was trying to get Misty pregnant, so I don’t know.

LEVI PAGE: He was trying to get her pregnant?

CHELSEA CROSLIN: Yes, they had pregnancy tests at their house and everything. That’s how I found out I was pregnant with my last baby. I didn’t want to get a pregnancy test and she went to their house and got one for me.

CHELSEA CROSLIN: Misty, okay Misty’s had a very hard life. We tried to give her the best we could, we tried to do the best we could for her but Misty wanted, she wanted her own. She at a young age wanted to start a family; she was starving for that love. I don’t know if anyone can understand that but she was just a little girl who had so much in her life going on and she was starved for love and Ronald was this man that came out of nowhere, sweeps her up on a pedestal, gave her the world, brought her shopping, you know she loved the kids and they would just all go do stuff like a family and he completely gave her everything she wanted and gave her a brand new car that purple Altima that everyone’s seen, that was Misty’s, that was given to her for her seventeenth birthday you know without a license you know he tried to do everything he could and then he would at the same time be abusive and controlling, mind abusive, physical, mental, everything and he would just have her so scared he slowly she slowly distanced herself from her family and we were very very close, I mean Misty was the little sister I always wanted and my best friend. I mean we confided in each other for everything and she wouldn’t even really talk to me after HaLeigh went missing, even before a little bit Ronald sometimes would come over and stuff but especially after HaLeigh went missing he pulled her so far from the family and he refused to let us talk like that incident with Ronald and my husband Tim having the phone harassment, that was just us calling asking if we could please speak to Misty and I would cry and say granny please I just want to make sure she’s okay, can I hear her say she’s okay? And they would not let me talk to her.

LEVI PAGE: Is that the same incident where Ronald called 911 because your husband Timmy called him ‘FAB’?

CHELSEA CROSLIN: Yes. Tim got mad because you know granny, I was like please and she started cussing’ at me and I was crying and I told Tim what had happened and he got mad and he called Ronald and Ronald didn’t answer his cell phone so he left a message on his answering machine and it was like look ‘FAB’, basically let me talk to my f’in sister, I have the right, make my sister call me and that was it and like within an hour we had phone calls from the Police saying we had phone harassment. Don’t call him again or you’re going to get in trouble and we never did. We never called again. We waited a couple of weeks and Misty would call and whisper when she had the chance. She would call for a few seconds even. If Ronald were to catch her she would hang up. And it would just be enough for her to call and let us know everything was going okay with her until she got arrested.

LEVI PAGE: And you know Donna Pendergast, you know that is interesting because we are talking about the isolation of Misty from her family I know that Crystal Sheffield the mother of HaLeigh Cummings said that Ron was very abusive and isolated her. He didn’t let her drive, he didn’t let her get a driver’s license and he isolated her from her family Donna.

DONNA PENDERGAST: Well you know Levi I have seen this over and over again, this is a real control thing and even before there was something to hide Ronald’s personality itself suggests he is a person who thinks he can control everybody and everything and he gets this much younger girl under his wing who is totally dependent on him and he is the boss, she does what he tells her to do.

These are pretty believable scenarios. You could even theorize that Ron might have given Haleigh something before he left... then TN was left with a failing Haleigh. She knew the consequences so she got Misty there to basically watch Junior knowing Haleigh's condition, then leaving in a panic to get the advice of GGMS on what to do.

Thoughts are rollin' in now!

yes dj....Ron could have given her something...as he might in the past given her "something" to quiet her...

The senerio could even have been, since TN was IN Ron's home...she may NOT have been the one who gave her "something"..and MORE LIKELY..between Ron and TN....it could have Ron..IF he gave Haleigh "something"...due to he had access to whatever he gave her...there in his home...more than TN would have....UNLESS...Ron INSTRUCTED TN to give Haleigh the "something" he had there at the MH...

Perhaps...(also JMO here)...IF Haleigh WAS being given "something" to calm her down that day...it was LIKELY something she had been given before...that Ron/TN was "comfortable" giving it to her...

moo.....many possibilites NOW....

so, even Chelsea admits that Ron put Misty up on a pedastal. That at least might explain why he wanted her back after Haleigh disappeared. But, surely Chelsea has had time to find out what the fight was about, that led to him kicking her out. Maybe it was really over her being in on the gun theft. I kind of suspected that anyway, but Chelsea 'not knowing', makes me even more suspicious. Now, that Ron has admitted to a gun fight with Joe, maybe this will come out later? IDK, but the whole pregnancy test thing, never seemed like the whole story.

i just have a strong feeling that what with all the peeps arrested for drugs after they where all brought in there was some snitching going on..rc tc both snitched on peeps i bet, but im afraid tc snitched on the wrong person thus making his sentence worse.ok im going to say
its in the tapes..

tommy:see that darn sheriff, his son is worst than i am on them darn pills.

:waitasec: Ron gave Misty the "purple ultima" for "Misty" to drive, that was seen parked in front of the MH while it was being searched by LE, but as far as we know LE only searched the Van and maybe Tommy's red truck? Didn't Ron have a white truck at the time as well, not the new one he bought, the other one that ended up parked at the Rita lane address if memory serves me right. Misty could of left the MH that Monday in the Ultima, and if true that Chelsea seen the "purple Ultima" at the bus stop that Monday, then who would be driving it? She claims it was Ron, but if it was Misty's then I would assume she was in the car as well. Maybe the parents did see Misty pick up Haleigh, maybe she got out of the Ultima, got in the Van with Chelsea and Ron took off to take care of business? There is just something not right about what all Chelsea is saying. It's almost like she is trying to distance/separate herself as much as she can. I have always wondered about her and still do. LE didn't go up to MA to question her for 14hrs for nothing... :cow:

:waitasec: Ron trying to get Misty pregnant, now why would he want that? He already has 1-2 kids that he does not even acknowledge or pay support for..he neglected/abused Haleigh and Jr. as well IMO. Could it be that Misty was the one that wanted to get pregnant? There was mention early on that Misty and Ron had a fight because she told him she was pregnant, but by a black guy and at this time WBG was not even in the picture. :waitasec:

Chelsea said Ron made himself late for work on Monday which means most of the men Ron worked with would have left before Ron's shift ended and the yard he was working in would be vacant. That made it very easy for Ron to slip through the hole in the fence Chelsea talked about.

MO is Ron took HaLeigh to school in the morning and picked her up at the bus stop Monday because he had a plan to do away with her and he needed to know where she was at all times. He didn't want Misty taking HaLeigh to Chelsea's or Tommy's like she normally did in the evening while he was at work so that’s why he picked up HaLeigh from the bus stop. Ron called Tommy to make sure Misty hadn’t left his house and walked over to his place with the kids.

Chelsea said Ron was wearing a black beanie cap and boots when she saw him at the Police Station Tuesday morning. Ron could have pulled the cap over his head to cover his face when he took HaLeigh from her bed and boots would definitely make the floors squeak. Ron did say HaLeigh was expecting to see her father when he returned from work. Junior said he saw a man dressed in black take HaLeigh and he circled his face with his hand which may mean the person had covered their face.

Ron was delighted with the notoriety he gained after HaLeigh went missing. Chelsea said Ron took Misty shopping and bought her the Altima. Misty was with another man over the weekend so with a plan to get rid of HaLeigh, Ron could keep Misty close.
Ron would no longer be tied down by HaLeigh’s schedule, he could quit work, he was free to travel with Misty, and he had all the money he needed including $12,000 from Crystal. He could access free dinners and trips by appearing on Talk Shows. Ron and Misty had planned a future together and with HaLeigh gone they were free to start a new life together.

As I have stated before, Misty was gone the days preceding HaLeigh's disappearance and no one knows what Ron was up to.

What did Ron do with HaLeigh?

BBM

Yeah, that don't really make sense either though... because Misty took Haleigh into her class that morning... according to Misty... so, It wouldn't be a big surprise for Haleigh to see Misty in the car. Haleigh could have been just happy to see Misty but not pleasantly surprised (for lack of better terminology) as Chelsea described... but what if Teresa was in the car? Haleigh could have been excited to see Grandma. Just a thought. Chelsea didn't say for sure that it was Misty... she assumed it was. According to Misty, she was home with Junior.

Dj, when I heard Chelsea talk about her last time seeing Haleigh..I thought the same thing...who would Haleigh be surprised to see? Surely not Misty if she had been with Haleigh earlier that day. IMO, if Haleigh was surprised to see anyone, I think it was Teresa....especially if Teresa lived 80 miles away and didn't see Haleigh often...but if that is true....where was Teresa's car?

I'm not gonna call Chelsea a liar on some of this, because there would be no reason to lie, but Misty could've gone back to Ronald the night before, & hidden it from Chelsea. & we're back to TN paying Misty & not the other way around. & now GGS has been added to that mix. I'm not sure if I'm buying the blanket story. seems too pat. How do we know some old green blanket, is the infamous blanket?

Well, FWIW, I do not beleive at all that Misty was with Ron when he claims to have picked Haleigh up at the bus stop. Why on earth, if Misty was with him and reportedly he gave her the purple car to drive, go to work late because he decided to pick up Haleigh from the bus stop, and Misty was suppose to be along for the ride?????????? No way. How can Misty be in the car with Ron when she also claims that Teresa Neves was calling and begging for her to babysit even offering to pay her? If she was already with Ron and Haleigh and God knows where Jr. was supposedly at, then why was there a need for Teresa to be calling her and begging her to babysit? And why would Ron need to pick up Haleigh and be late for work? If Misty was with him already? Lies, lies and more lies.............:banghead:

Regarding the eye witnesses who think they saw Misty pick up HaLeigh at the bus stop; It is possible Ron purposely parked his car behind the blue van and the witnesses didn’t see him there. The blue van was there everyday picking up Austin and HaLeigh and because it was there that day, that’s probably why they thought Misty picked up HaLeigh like she did every other day when Ron was working the evening shift. Misty can easily be mistaken for Chelsea who her daughter with her.

What vehicle did Ron take to work? Remember someone heard a loud vehicle somewhere in the neighborhood Monday night after midnight so Ron could have left work after the other employees left to go home at 11 pm and he snuck back in to clean up and punch out.

I'm not being facetious either; I'm sincerely trying to understand the logistics of the "deal." I guess I don't see the connection bw his decision to talk (or LE's seeking his agreement to talk) and his involvement - or lack thereof. I don't see how his deal to talk indicates his lack of involvement. I didn't say that very well, but maybe you got what I was trying to ask . :-)

tia

I do think it shows his lack of involvement. No where in the plea deal did it state he has been given immunity and imo he wasnt. The stipulation is he will testify in any case involving Haleigh's disappearance and must testify truthfully. Which is stipulated in all such plea deals like this one that includes testifying in court. So Ron's plea deal is pretty common. If he was given immunity they couldn't try him even if he testified untruthfully if immunity had been given so he did not get any kind of immunity clause, imo.

So therefore; he would not be compelled to testify if he was also a potential suspect in the crime against Haleigh. Under the Constitution a person cannot be compelled to testify and incriminate themselves.

IMO

I wonder if Chelsea has ever considered that Ron may have disliked the family due to Misty telling that she had been molested by several family members, lived in poverty at various times, and seen all sorts of drug abuse according to Flora. I can see why he might not want any talking after the disappearance if he suspected Misty. If Misty was so secluded, then why the heck was Tommy over at the trailer all the time? Joe and Tommy were even over there, and it sounds like Lindsay came over a lot. I don't believe there was isolation until AFTER Haleigh went missing.

Also: About Ron taking Misty shopping. There is one interview when Misty talks about that. Haleigh having to be just like her and get pink shoes because Misty got pink shoes. When Misty was telling that, there was a little bit of an ugly look on her face and slight resentment in her voice. She quickly caught herself, changed immediately, and perked up by saying "Haleigh wanted us to be just alike".

It has always amazed me that misty could catch herself. She is alot smarter than what people think. From the 911 call forward, you will see examples on how she does that.

So Teresa is saying ...(paraphrased)..."She is never going to tell what happened to haleigh"...and AK.is telling Flo and her family...while pointed her finger as a gun...saying bam bam bam...You're all done...."

That certainly does cause a report made to the LE...for their safety...

Who knows what these Cummings women could do....and even if Ron is locked up...Misty could be afraid to tell the truth..due to Ron's family...is still walking around...and making threats to her family...

moo

Where are the men in this family (neves/sykes) ? Have they been run off or are they too scared to be seen in public with these two?

Chelsea said she believes Ron called Tommy to tell him what was going on and to go to his place to help his sister clean up the scene. So if Ron knew HaLeigh was dead by 9 o’clock and Misty was in charge of disposing her body, why did Junior tell Chelsea “no, I saw him, a man in black came in and took her” and he circled his hands around his face. Why would HaLeigh be in her bed when the man in black came in to take her if Tommy and Misty had disposed of her body earlier? Chelsea said when Junior told her about the incident he witnessed that it made her sick to her stomach because she believed him.

When Chelsea describes what Ron was wearing when she saw him Tuesday morning at the Police Station, she said “He was still wearing the whole same outfit that possibly could be the one his son was talking about.” Junior is convinced he saw a man in black take his sister so if HaLeigh died around 9:30 pm and Tommy and Misty disposed of her body, Junior wouldn't have seen a man dressed in black take his sister. So how can Chelsea still believe Misty and Tommy were involved in the cover-up if she believes Junior is telling the truth?

CHELSEA CROSLIN: I know that he called Tommy and supposedly what he says he told Tommy was you know that he needed to go down and check on his sister because Misty wasn’t answering the phone for him so Tommy supposedly went down there to do that and that is when the first story came out where Tommy said he went down there but the lights and everything were off and I knew that was a lie and I confronted him on it and Tommy said okay you know basically that probably wasn’t true as far as him going down there and I don’t believe that phone call was made to say “go down and check on her” I think Ronald called Tommy to tell him what was going on and to go there to help his sister clean up the scene otherwise she was going to go away and Tommy went down there.

CHELSEA CROSLIN: I didn’t see him the night that she went missing but I did see him the very next morning in the very early hours, like 6 in the morning, maybe 6:30. We were at the Sherriff’s department. He was wearing like a full jumpsuit. I have heard lately after I was on Jane Velez Mitchell that people say it was a dark blue. I remember it being black. It was a very rough morning that morning and anybody can confuse black with navy blue, just as much as my 4-year-old nephew Junior could. But it was a full jumpsuit, like, because it was cold outside, so from the arms down to the end of the legs and it zipped all the way up the legs up the belly to the neck and he had his black beanie hat on and his boots. Ron was still wearing the whole same outfit that possibly could be the one his son was talking about.

CHELSEA CROSLIN: Yeah, and as far as Junior goes, I mean I played it off with Junior as if it had been someone feeding him something but I saw him that day, I mean literally by maybe noon of the day the search was going on. He had been isolated instantly by the family; they had him in the room playing with the kids to try to keep him away from all the cops. You know because it was hard for him to already wake up in the middle of the night with his sister being gone, they were trying to keep his mind off it you know. So I went in the room and I just needed to hug him you know I needed that feeling because HaLeigh I was just so scared with everything and I went in there and hugged him and he hugged me and he wiped my tear and said “It’s okay Aunt Chelsea” he said “but my sister is missing” and he said “don’t cry my sister is missing” and I said “no we are going to get her back” and Junior said “well the man in black came in and took her and he circled his hands around his face and I kind of smirked a little and I said “no baby it’s okay, don’t worry, who told you that, somebody just said that”. And he said, “no, I saw him”. And Junior is not a liar. I can tell you right now, 4 years old that boy will not lie out of all 6 well we had 8 altogether, I got 3 kids, Tommy’s got 3 kids, and HaLeigh and Junior are the extra two, so that was 8 kids. Out of all of them, who hit who, who started the fight, who spilled the dog food, they would all point at each other but if we called Junior over he would tell us which one did it. Junior is the farthest one from lying. He is a respectful, very polite little boy. And when he said that to me you know it made me sick to my stomach because I believed him. It was too early for anyone to feed that to him and when I went and told my family about it and I told you know when I went outside and told one of the officers that were in the driveway, everybody just blew it off; oh he is a little kid he is going to come up with imaginations.

PAT BROWN: Well I can understand why a lot of people would blow it off but for Ronald, he should be the one going “wait a minute, listen to my kid, maybe he’s got some important information.

CHELSEA CROSLIN: Ronald knows his son is not a liar. He knows Junior is the one who will tell the truth out of all the children.

That is a great question djdj247! So far that video has not been released and I don't think what Ron was wearing at that specific time was released either.

:waitasec:Something else that caught my attention is that Chelsea claims Ron would get off of work between 11PM-1AM normally. First thing I thought of was that maybe Ron only worked part-time at PDM. That is a big stretch 11PM-1AM. If his shift did start at 5PM as his attorney claimed in the past and Ron was working part-time and he would get off around 11PM as Chelsea alleged, then that would be a 6 hr part time shift. If he worked over time then we could assume he would of worked until 1AM-2AM, which could be why Ron said that LE questioned what took him so long to get home that night. I can't wait to see the phone records and video of Ron at the store. I wonder if anyone else was seen at that store that night?

I am guessing that IF ron worked full time his hours were 3:30 to midnight. I say this because ron was not the one who normally picked up Haleigh. He was gone for work by the time Haleigh was coming home from school. It is also possible that he worked 4:30 to 1:00am and he would leave home early. We never questioned the fact that he could have been a part-time employee. Funny how our circumstances in life shape our perceptions.

Ron was very vague when he explained the LE questioning him about what took him so long getting home. He NEVER stated the hours he left or his regular work hours. He used thet term "such and such a time". Now WTH kind of explanation is that? The other thing we can factor in is what he told the pastor which was he worked 8 hours, came home and didn't have a daughter no more.

yes dj....Ron could have given her something...as he might in the past given her "something" to quiet her...

Do you get the impression that Haleigh was hyper and very fiesty and may have been difficult to contro?l. She may have had tantrums also. I picture her like that. Misty/ronald would not know how to deal with this type of child. I imagine their first thoughts would be discipline to get her to listen. Neither of these two immature people would know what to do or how to do it correctly...just isn't in their genes.

Chelsea sure isn't mentioning just where Jr. said Misty was when the man all in black was taking Haleigh. If she believed him, then why didn't she ask him at the time. The police probably did listen to Jr. somewhat, because they are all now going back and trying to make the whole thing fit around what Jr. saw and heard.

I thought LE questioned how Ron got home from work so fast?

Even though he agreed to stay over to unload a barge he still would not be there by himself.

And I am even wondering about the hole in the fence? Has that even been substantiated as truth or is it just another Chelsea-ism? I find it very illogical that a hole would be allowed to remain there since a bridge building company has equipment and tools worth many millions sitting there. I don't think PDM would just let a hole remain. That would be like putting a sign out for the burglars "come this way and steal all you want" (example)

I worked for a large bridge building company for 20 years. If we had a break in and someone cut the fence to get in.......it was repaired immediately once the police had completed their investigation that day.

Ron may have had to be there at 4 to midnight and was asked to work over to unload and he worked until 3 am and then went by the convenience store and then went home where the call was made at 3:26 am.

At that time of the morning I have no doubt that Ron was mostly likely speeding and that is why he got home when he did.

IMO

OBE, I agree with you in regards to the hole in the fence....I don't know if I can believe that...like you said....considering the tools and equipment that they had on the property, I just don't see PDM allowing a hole to remain in a fence, that would allow entry onto their property....it seems unlikely to me...

As far as LE asking Ron how did he get home so fast....It was my understanding that LE first asked Ron why it took him so long to get home...and Ron response was that he stopped by the store....it wasn't until after he claimed to have stopped by store that LE ask Ron how did he get home so fast....confusing, I know.

JMO of course
