If we didn't have the feed cut we might both know lol

Here I go making things more confusing.I heard the state atty tell the jury that if they checked murder 1 then they didn't need to check anything else. But it almost sounds like they checked almost everything listed. If that makes a difference I don't know. I just want to hear the sentence.

I'm not seeing a live feed for Boswell anywhere anymore. Is it over?

"She told story after story for two and a half months, and maybe the worst part is that she just went on with her life as if Evelyn had never even existed,” Sullivan County Assistant District Attorney Amber Massengill said in the trial's closing statements Feb. 12. "Evelyn did exist. Evelyn was a real person, and Megan Boswell should not be able to go on as if Evelyn did not exist."

WVLT. I’ll try to link

State is brief. Evelyn doesn't get a chance to restart her life and neither should MB.

Now the other defense attorney is up. The community has been hurt. Put an end to it right here and now. End it with grace and love. Show her she's redeemable.

State: show MB the same love and compassion she showed Evelyn. Evelyn should have been able to rely on her mother.

That same jury is now hearing arguments before deciding whether to sentence Boswell to life in prison without parole or life with the possibility of parole. On the latter, she would be required to serve at least 51 years before parole could be considered.

The jury is currently out to determine sentencing. Right? Could be a while…

Anybody know what will happen if they can’t come to an agreement? I guess the judge will decide?

I’m not sure if the jury determines the sentence or if they submit their recommendation and the judge takes that into consideration and has final say.

Anyone know?

Five years ago, we began working alongside the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI and the Office of the 2nd Judicial District Attorney General to pursue justice for Baby Evelyn. Today, justice was finally served.

Every single person who worked on this case should be commended. It was both challenging and heartbreaking, but they never wavered from their mission to ensure the person responsible for Evelyn’s death was held accountable.

According to the Tennessee Courts, media guidelines state that “(3) Jurors.Media coverage of jurors during the judicial proceeding is also prohibited.” Also regarding compliance, per the courts, “Media personnel who fail to comply with this rule shall be subject to an appropriate sanction as determined by the presiding judge.”

I DO NOT understand how this could happen. Neither courtroom nor cameras were invented today.

One feed. Judge in control. One mounted behind and over the jury.

There would be no way for the them to be filmed, even accidentally.

It's INSANE to me that justice could be subverted by undisciplined recording. There are tried and true safeguards, while allowing for streaming without jeopardizing justice.

haha, now mb's eyes look they have really been crying since hearing the verdict.
MB only has tears for herself as a true Narc does. What she did was brought to light, her lies exposed, which is fatal to their psyche. She's caught and the world knows her sickening secrets, there is nothing more damaging than someone shattering that false mask facade.

She isn't crying for that sweet, innocent little angel born into her care. I don't know about MB's past life experiences, there seems to have been a lot of family dysfunction from all sides really, but that does not negate the actions she freely chose to commit against her baby daughter. MB had choices, EB did not.

I know young girls/boys (3 male cousins of mine) who endured the foster care system and others from abusive home lives, but they went on to become successful adults and extremely caring parents themselves.

MB gets no sympathy from me, just like all the other child murderers. I would like to hope she spends the rest of her days mourning and regretting what she did, but in all likelihood, EB won't even be a thought in her mind, just the "REASON" (fault) that poor, pitiful MB is in prison.

Good riddance MB. This chapter of you is closed for me now and I know that little EB is flying so far above you in a much better place of peace.

Because someone idiot always finds a way to screw things up for everyone else. IMO

If this had all been some tragic accident she covered up and she immediately called the authorities, I could understand people pleading for her.
However, I have no pitty at ALL for someone who threw their child away in the trash after severely neglecting her for days, possibly even weeks.
Or months. :(
