GUILTY TN - Evelyn Boswell, 15 months, Sullivan County, 26 DEC 2019 *MOM ARRESTED* #10

Honestly, what 17 year old doesn't regularly comb her own hair, to the point where it's matted and takes months to untangle? Not sure of the truth of this testimony.
We've heard about her bedroom at her dad's. We've seen the trailer. We saw her texts, begging to sleep in Hunter's truck. We've heard about the condition Evelyn was in just prior to going "missing" and the condition she was found in.

Her hair probably suffered from the same deplorable neglect, her own doing.

MB showed her true colors in the months after she threw her baby away. I feel awful for her young life but how she behaved after her baby was dead tells you everything you need to know. No, Defense, that's not an alternate way to grieve. Where have we seen even a single tear that she felt bad for what she did?

Scary to me how quickly she turned the tears off after the verdict.

Very little emotion shown by Megan when the gran and mom gave character references. Puzzling... Wondering if Megan has a personality disorder as well.
I think she has all of the personality disorders. And maybe even some new ones. I call it Cluster F.

What she endured as a child is wrong, unfair, criminal but where did Evelyn sign up to be a casualty of that? MB did not need to keep her, at birth or even at 1. Or she could have done her best to give her the love and protection she herself didn't get. But she couldn't even be troubled to keep her free room clean, in order to maintain a roof for Evelyn, and then trashed the free roof that was provided next.

When your baby ends up dead in a trash can, wrapped in tinfoil and a blanket, in a trash bag, it really doesn't matter how you were raised or how good a mom you might have been last Tuesday.

This was a tragedy that should never have happened.

How did nasty mb maintain an on and off relationship with EP for years and have such horrible hygiene? Then name him as the father of EB when she was also crying rape? None of this makes sense. JMO

I'm sure I saw that she and Ethan dated when they were young, but they had a fling or something when they were older, and she then claimed to have fallen pregnant with Evelyn. Ethan didn't think the timing added up, so she was either further along than she claimed, or maybe had just recently fallen pregnant (from a sexual assault?). Trauma from a sexual assault could certainly stop someone looking after themselves.

That being said, if she had some sort of PTSD from assault, I'd imagine the defence would have got a psychiatrist to testify about her state of mind. They'd be the first to explain her lack of emotion as being a result of being unable to bond with Evelyn due to the circumstance of the conception. So I guess I've talked myself into being skeptical.

Not that it makes a blind bit of difference if it's true, because she had every opportunity to let her go into foster care, and she decided to kill her instead.

MB is someone who you can have sympathy for everything they've been through whilst simultaneously knowing their actions are absolutely inexcusable.

Are we going to get to see the sentence for mb?

I’m so sick of “Everyone grieves differently” being applied willy nilly in every stinking case.

There’s a huge difference between a person appearing stalwart and a bit flat emotionally and a person crying crocodile tears and going out partying after murdering their child.

Seriously? Do defense attorneys really believe the public swallows that line? How insulting!

I was just typing a similar thing, having realised that maybe she just neglects everything. Her trailer, her hair, her baby, everything.

BTW, I just wanted to thank you for all of your posts updating on the trial videos, it was really helpful xx

I am stunned the camera person didn't have a hard stop on the camera angle. The jury box is just to the side of the witness box, with only a wheelchair ramp between. Where was the safeguard?????? Small courtroom. Why wasn't it a fixed feed??????

The jury for the Casey Anthony comes to mind.

Law&Crime is frozen, the jury box visible, and two jurors partially visible. They were completely visible earlier, through at least much if Grandma's entrance to the witness box and possibly while testifying. IMO not at all intentional by the camera person, but oh my word, that is a major oops.
This is why we can't have nice things Megs.

So, I caught the end of that.
They have the sentencing forms to complete now.
Court in recess until sentencing returned

I thought the judge was going to determine the sentence on murder 1
