GUILTY TN - Evelyn Boswell, 15 months, Sullivan County, 26 DEC 2019 *MOM ARRESTED* #10

Sad to hear that she was raped, and crawling in lice when she was fostered :(

But knowing what they knew about her, why wasn't she closely monitored by child services when Evelyn was still little?
Perhaps that's a sad clue regarding paternity.

That is the first thing that came to mind.
Could have been an adult/minor situation as well.

This sounds strange.....what about her relationship with EP during this time. 17 years old and she can't get a comb through her hair. JMO

MB should have been a foster care success story.

Sad calculus here. MB loved Evelyn, insofar as she could love anything beside herself, but didn't want to be (thought of as) a bad mom, didn't want the foster system to take her, I suppose.

But to the point of neglecting Evelyn and then throwing her away, why why why didn't she reach out? Hell, if she could have just cleaned her bedroom, she had a home to live in, and help.

SHE THREW AWAY A BABY.

And why no paternity was established. No one to compare the DNA to.

If this had all been some tragic accident she covered up and she immediately called the authorities, I could understand people pleading for her.
However, I have no pitty at ALL for someone who threw their child away in the trash after severely neglecting her for days, possibly even weeks.

Foster carer was a sympathetic witness. "She's not unredeemable."

The jury will have to weigh that against two months of lies. Deliberately manipulating people, lying and blaming everyone else for Evelyn's disappearance, with fanciful tales, with full knowledge Evelyn was dead in a trash can.

Exactly.

Is she going to talk? No

Yikes.

What a turn around.

She's almost mouthy.

(She won't be testifying.)

If she wasn't moved by her character witnesses, neither should the jury.

I don’t get it, she had maintained friendships with at least three women since grade school and probably hung out with others too. But nobody noticed bugs in her hair? Was the rape reported? EP dated her in that condition?

I’m still catching up so maybe those questions will be answered.

Is CourtTV's feed wonky? Law&Crime's is seizing up.

Or maybe just another mb lie.
Good point, actually. I didn't even think to be skeptical x

In any event, regardless of how horrible her past, it doesn't mean she deserves a lesser sentence, IMO. This all just drives it home that she was desperately loved by O'Mommy and her grandad at least, and her foster mum in later life, and it was a love that Evelyn wasn;t given in turn. Somehow I'm more exasperated.

yikes, they showed a bit of the jury and are now trying to edit it out.....

I don't necessarily believe all of this at face value since those records are usually not available due to the person being a juvenile.
They could make all this up and there's no way to prove or disprove.
