GUILTY TN - Evelyn Boswell, 15 months, Sullivan County, 26 DEC 2019 *MOM ARRESTED* #10

  • #61
I think MB began neglecting Evelyn.... when the diaper rash got nasty, IMO she feared CPS. So she quit bringing her to her sitter, didn't take her to her pediatrician or to urgent care for the same reason. Sounds like Evelyn was a happy baby, easy. I wonder if MB was leaving her home alone, knowing Evelyn was quiet, not fussy. Including overnights. Maybe that's how it started. Hiding the diaper rash, then explaining Evelyn away -- "she's with her dad" -- and it worked. Trash piles up fast in the trailer because she's hardly there, Evelyn fending for herself in that nasty stye. And then MB SusanSmithed, wanting HW more than the life she already trashed -- so she threw it all away, including her own daughter.

And never looked back.

Thanks again for all the updates. I get so emotional over baby Evelyn and angry at MB that I want to rip the TV down, I can't see or hear it live. Such an unbelievable, cold hearted, senseless, selfish and cruel act committed on a sweet defenseless baby. It really gets to me. :(

Here with you all, hoping this Monster egg donor gets the MAXIMUM sentence.

Oh, my soul.

The actual trash can.

  • #67
It's a KITCHEN WASTEBASKET.

  • #68
I'm crying.

She stuffed her in the kitchen wastebasket. 13 gallon wastebasket.

Where is her humanity?????

  • #69
Looking at that evidence is really uncomfortable. Any mother that discards her child in a trash can couldn't have felt anything resembling love.

MOO

Accidentally death of any kind is out for me. SHE THREW HER IN THE TRASH. No burial, no swaddled in a blanket.

This hurts. I just had to bury my own (adult) daughter. I buried her with her baby doll and baby blanket... because she'll always be my baby.

Evelyn mattered. And MB wrapped her in tinfoil like spoiled leftovers from the back corner of a forgotten fridge. Vile. It reveals her motive as far as I'm concerned. She trashed her life, then she threw it all away, thinking she would just stay another.

A baby. Who didn't even have all of her baby teeth yet. Who does that to a BABY?????

You. Can't. Make. This. Up.

Detective is showing the black trash bag and a baggie of insect debris gathered from inside the bag where BABY Evelyn was stuffed in.

Defense wants the bag of insects to be it's own exhibit.

I'm sorry. Sit down, Defense. Your client is putrid.

Former TBI Agent David Gratz continued testimony.

FEB 10, 2025
Gratz said the black residue on the trash can was the result of the TBI lab searching for fingerprints. He also noted that pieces of the trash can had also been removed for analysis and said it did not look exactly like it had the night the child was found.

Next, Massengill provided Gratz with a piece of gum that had been stuck to the inside of the trash can when Evelyn’s remains were recovered. Gratz confirmed it was collected as evidence and sent for analysis.

Water bottle collected from the wastebasket (or in the bags near the wastebasket).

(Is it too much to hope/expect it has MB's nasty mouth germs on it?)

(If there is any consolation in this nasty case, it's that MB isn't very bright, left all the evidence together, even bagged it up for investigators.)

(Why throw Evelyn away like that, if somebody else accidentally killed her? Yeah, because nobody else did.)

I think we're going to get confirmation that MB's cooties are all over that water bottle and chewing gum.

Aluminum foil.

I just can't.

  • #77
Bailiff is handling evidence with his bare hands. Acckkkkk.

Pizza box.

I would take greater care throwing away a doll.

Tinfoil. I don't know how a mother could do that. What was she thinking??????

  • #78
Lord.

Tinfoil has "trash and decomposition material on it".

Oh, Baby Evelyn, your poor little soul.

  • #79
Anyone have ideas on why aluminum foil?

  • #80
Gratz opened a box which had a bag that contained sheets of aluminum foil - Exhibit 201. He's unfolding them and there are large pieces that he says were formed around Evelyn's head. Also some smaller pieces, wadded up with human decomposition and trash debris on them.

Also in the box was a smaller, white box. He hasn't opened that yet.

Also, two small evidentiary containers that contain hair.
