I do not understand why defendants choose trials, where all their nasty will be on blast, when they could quietly plead guilty and go the hell away.

What must she be thinking right now? I imagine she's entertaining herself with new answers for everything. I wonder who she's wanting to blame today.

Anyone have ideas on why aluminum foil?
Speculation:

I bet she would have used saran wrap, she just probably didn't have any. Only one reason I can think of, that she'd do that.

Let that sink in.

The white box contains more pieces of aluminum foil, Exhibit 203.

Here comes another box...

Good grief this is disgusting

This is too gruesome. The witness appears to be having a hard time going thru all the decomp and insect debris....sick

I fear MB wanted to make absolute sure Evelyn wouldn't, couldn't breathe. Which leads me to speculate Evelyn still could, even as her mother was doing that to her.

I've noticed that throughout his testimony. There were moments on Saturday where he looked like he wanted to cry. :(

I can't remember watching a trial where they went thru the recovered items in such gross detail.....

Evelyn's outfit is published; Exhibit 204.

Image is too disturbing for me to post here. :(

Gratz is holding up a gray and white blanket that was wrapped around Evelyn’s body in the trash can.

15 minute recess.

The judge looks ill

Imagine the poor jurors.
Court room probably needs a quick spot clean, and room freshener spray. Everyone up and wash your hands, splash some water on your face....there's more to come.
And that beast of a mother sits there stoically the whole time.

I hate that I'm asking this, regarding the pj's and blanket, is that decomposition staining or is it fecal? Was Evelyn left alone in the same diaper for maybe 24 hours?

Devastating evidence.

As mothers, I imagine we've all experienced blowout diapers where we consider throwing the outfit away, beyond saving. SHE THREW THE WHOLE BABY AWAY.

I am ill.

I was thinking that very thing.

Detective, all polished for court, in his suit, when it really out to be a hazmat suit, handling residual decomposed human remains, shedding evidence and insect debris.

And she sits there, still unaffected, when she's is why we all have to see this.

IMO, that staining was a combo of both. Baby was shoved and curved upside down, head first and backwards in the garbage can. Gravity assisted the fluids from both body waste and mostly decomp fluids towards the top of her body at the backside. Gross and disgusting

What series of events led us here?

1. When MB moved to the trailer, because she couldn't behave like a human being and clean up after herself, there was no one monitoring her...

2. Neglect as documented by the diaper rash, trashed trailer as documented by the poor soul who had to clean it out.

3. New job. Plus diaper rash, IMO MB stopped taking Evelyn to family, friends, sitters, daycare because she was ignoring the rash and Evelyn and didn't want to be reported. I think Evelyn was left alone. A lot.

4. New bf. Wanted to be single again. Casey Anthony. Leaving Evelyn home alone was working for her. Lying about where Evelyn was was working for her.

5. Evelyn's rash HAD to devolve rapidly. Imagine that rash and then sitting in urine and feces.

6. I suspect MB spent almost no time with Evelyn in Evelyn's last days. Or MB would have smelled as well.

7. I think MB must have come home from an extended absence to find Evelyn soaked through and rather than clean her up, bath her, comfort her, GET HER MEDICAL CARE, she threw her away.

8. Maybe the tinfoil was either to insure against breathing or was an attempt to disguise what she was discarding. Just ran out of tinfoil.

9. I wonder if she had planned ever to come back and throw everything away farther away but was just having so much fun with her new life, she didn't think she had to.

10. May she never walk along us again.
