The jury recommends #MeganBoswell, 24, be sentenced to LIFE WITH the possibility of parole after 51 years for the murder of her 15-month-old Evelyn, whose remains were found stuffed in a trashcan.
Boswell's official sentencing is scheduled for May 22nd.
If you look at how the system is set up, you will see that the jury made the correct decision. With Megan's mother testifying about how she failed her miserably, it is easy to see how the jury decided to include these mitigating circumstances when they ruled on her sentence. I'm not saying this is a good or bad thing; it's just how things are in cases like Megan Boswell's.

Really, it's up to MB now. 51 years to face what she has done.

Maybe she'll surprise everyone, be a quiet and orderly prisoner, come before the parole board penitent and decent and be granted the second lease on life Baby Evelyn never got.

Or.... she'll continue to lie, manipulate, fabricate, triangulate, instigate and create head-spinning drama from the cool comfort of prison and will have the same credibility in 51 years that she has today.

I suspect we're looking at a lifer.

One wonders, how many times do you think MB will get her head shoved down in a garbage can while locked up for 51 years? Deep thoughts....

Imo I thought a person only had to actually serve half of the sentence. Is that not correct?
