According to hunter's father mb said her child wasn't with her when she was hired at the chicken restaurant.

I think the jury will see through this,.
We can all understand that someone would have mental health issues if they had been blinded by someone like MB and put into a whirlwind ordeal.
Not to mention..blamed for EB's death.

Wow. I wasn't prepared for this diagnosis or testimony by the father of HW today. Dad testified his son HW has been hospitalized in Virginia for two months.

I guess the real question is whether or not the defense has Hunter's actual medical records.

So much sadness in this case. Schizophrenia onset in males is typical late teens to early 20s.

Defense just asked his father about aluminum foil, and people stealing your thoughts. Questioning if Hunter had fear about people stealing his thoughts...[reminder -- EB face was encased in aluminum foil when body recovered].

I sure hope LE was able to investigate HW and clear him to their satisfaction long before the mental diagnosis.

I dunno... I'm beginning to fear HW lawyered up early did not cooperate with investigators.

ETA: Appears HW was arrested a year following MB's arrest after a DUI crash with injuries. I'm wondering if he's adopted a 'rehab' defense to avoid Court. Not discounting any valid mental health diagnosis but I'm somewhat suspicious after the first reluctant witness required witness delivered to the Court by Sheriff, and now a second material witness is hospitalized two months before trial. Hmmm...

Having to deal with that miserable lying excuse of EB's mother it made sense to lawyer up right away.

Hunter was a 4.0 student.
Now his dad doesn't know if he'll ever be able to function again.
This is just awful and sad and tragic in so many ways.
She ruined this young man.
IMO.

I don't blame HW's father one bit.

Maybe HW's mental health was going to go off the rails regardless of circumstances. But it sure looks like the push came from knowing Megan and being accused of HER crimes. If I were HW's dad, I'd see her as the trigger which triggered his son's mental decline.

Megan has the remarkable ability to destroy everything around her. While she might not be entirely to blame for his mental state, I can't say she helped it any.

She loves people like SusanSmith does.

Just seeing everyone that has been a witness so far.. friends & family. She has absolutely changed their lives in insurmountable ways. They all will never be the same again because of her selfishness.

Dated in High school.
Joined Army 10 days after graduation in May 2017
They kept in touch through letters and he says they were still dating when he was in basic.
He came home X-mas 2018.

He would not call it a healthy relationship.
March or April he learns she is pregnant.

They did discuss him being the father. He "rolled with it. Blinders came off quickly"

2019-Sent to El Paso to Assist Border Patrol March-Sept
MB visited him in EL Paso. Was not a planned visit.
She wanted him to take leave. He says no.
She drove all the way there. Sent a pic to him parked outside of hotel.... (creepy)

He had her stay on Eastern End of town (less dangerous)
He took a few days off, not officially, but spent time with EB and MB.
Went to El Paso Zoo
Hung out in hotel a lot.
Went to IHOP.
(First time he has ever seen EB)
She was toddling around at that time.

MB , he believes came back to TN.
They kept communicating via Messenger. (mostly arguing)
(He did not know if EB was really his had his doubts the validity of it)
