It's hard to keep with the facts since she has told more lies and elaborate stories than I can keep track of.....

As much as I've dreaded these photos, I'm glad that Megan is such a lazy humanlike being she didn't bother going as far as a dumpster.

Preserved the evidence against her.

It's almost like Megan knew Evelyn wasn't coming back.

Oh, wait.

I wish these Mom's would realize there are hundreds if not thousands of people that would take their child in and love them if they would choose another option.
However, most are entitled brats and don't ever think of cause and effect.
Yep. What really gets me angry with these people (sadly so many are bio moms) is that while they don’t want the responsibility of caring for their child they also get resentful when someone else steps in to parent their kid. Like it’s their right to to have sole control. CA was the poster child of that behavior.

Judge is giving the media a serious dressing down for zooming in on the Defense's table/computer.

If it happens again, he'll still kick the media out and there will be jail.

Yeah, I couldn't take much more.
I couldn't be a juror on this case.
IMO.

No, tests were done and he was not her father. I didn't know that, either.

2 of 2 - LIVE: Witnesses, including Hunter Wood’s father, testify in Megan Boswell case

by: Murry Lee
2/7/25

Updated: Feb 7, 2025 / 04:40 PM EST

Witness: Erica Stacy cont.

Massengill seemed confused by the message presented, and the attorneys approached the bench, and Goodwin asked the jury to leave the courtroom for a moment.

When court resumed, Scott said he and the defense were under the impression that the impression that the messages provided were all screenshots. However, some were reformatted in other documents for evidence. Because of an error that is reflected on the messages between Stacy and Boswell, Scott called for a mistrial.

Deputy District Attorney said the evidence has been available and are verbatim of the messages, except for the error on the last one shown. Harper attributed it to human error and said the messages had all been copied over to be better viewed in an easier to understand format. He also argued that both legal teams have had all the evidence for some time to review.

Scott claimed he was not aware that the exhibits were not all screenshots.

Goodwin said he would not order a mistrial but instructed the jury to not consider the flawed message. He also told the district attorney’s office to ensure there were no further errors on pieces of evidence.

The court then dismissed for lunch.

Court resumes following lunch recess:

Defense asks for clarification

After a long recess, the defense and prosecution returned and gave their sides of the evidence dispute. Scott said since a mistrial was denied, the jury should be given an explanation that the evidence in question is not a screenshot and that the state has taken portions of text conversations.

Harper said the move was done so that the jury did not have to look through 20 pages of text conversations for a single portion that was relevant to the case.

Goodwin agreed and said the nature of the evidence should be explained to the jury.

Goodwin also said he would not publish the exhibit that contained the flawed message between Boswell and Stacy to the jury.

When the juror returned, Goodwin apologized for the delay and said there was information in the last exhibit that was not supposed to be there. The jury was instructed not to consider it as evidence.

“If you read it, I’m instructing you not to consider it for any purpose during your deliberations. They’re not actual screenshots. They are snippets of conversations taken from a phone extraction that was done. Which means that it’s not necessarily a sequential stream of conversations back and forth. Does everybody understand that?”

Stacy was then called back to the stand.

Witness: Erica Stacy continues testimony

Massengill resumed her examination of Stacy by providing her more messages from Jan. 8, 2020 between her and Boswell. On that day, Boswell told Stacy that she and Wood would be coming to church that night. Stacy expressed her worry for her lately and asked how their Christmas went.

In the Jan. 8 messages, Boswell said she would not have Evelyn to bring with her since she was with Perry and said Wood had not really been around Evelyn much.

Massengill then showed messages from Feb. 24, 2020, in which Stacy asked Boswell who had Evelyn, to which Boswell said her mother did. Stacy asked questions about what was said on the news while the AMBER Alert was active, and Boswell told her that her mother, Angela Boswell, had Evelyn the whole time.

Scott began his cross-examination and asked how old Evelyn was the first time Stacy met her. She guessed somewhere around five or six months old. Stacy said anytime she saw Megan, Evelyn was always with her, and their relationship seemed “perfectly normal.”

Stacy described Boswell as being “kind of quiet” but not unfriendly when Stacy’s son and Boswell were dating in the spring of 2019.

Stacy never saw Evelyn inappropriately dressed or cared for.

She was dismissed as a witness.

Witness: Randy Wood

Randy Wood, the father of Boswell’s ex-boyfriend Hunter Wood, was the next witness called.

Randy Wood gave his address to prosecutors at the time authorities were searching for Evelyn, and he also identified himself as the only owner of Hunter T’s Chicken Shack at the time. He estimated he had about 12 employees at the restaurant and told the court that he was responsible for hiring employees.

Randy Wood said he first met Boswell when she applied for a job at Hunter T’s Chicken Shack and hired her. Boswell was working on Dec. 2 when the restaurant opened.

He also told prosecutors that his son, Hunter Wood, was also an employee at the restaurant. Randy Wood said he was at the restaurant most of the time when it was open and confirmed that his son was living at home with him.

When asked if he knew if Boswell and his son were in a relationship, he described it as complicated and said they were together a lot. Randy Wood recalled Boswell’s car being repossessed, and she told him that her own father had kicked her out.

Randy Wood said Boswell stayed at his home for three nights, but he never saw Evelyn and the child was never at his home. He also never saw his son, whom he was with every day, with Evelyn.

Hunter Wood has been staying at a mental facility in Virginia for the last two months, and Randy Wood said he would be unable to testify due to his current mental state.

Randy Wood said his son’s mental problems began “when he got accused of being a baby killer.”
After delivering that statement, Scott took over cross-examination. He asked Randy Wood about Hunter Wood’s diagnosis, which include Schizophrenia, and the father said his son talks about things that make no sense and he sometimes does not recognize his family.

“He talks about things,” Randy Wood said of his son. “You know, you sometimes you don’t really know what he’s talking about. I mean, I don’t know how to put it; it’s just, it’s sad. I mean, this young man was a 4.0 student in school, now he’s – you know, I don’t know if he’s ever going to function in his life again.”

Randy Wood said his son does not speak with him about Evelyn. He also told Scott that he was not aware that his son had experienced hallucinations or delusions, and he said he has never seen Hunter Wood become violent.

Scott also asked if Hunter Wood ever discussed someone stealing his thoughts with his father or reading his mind, and Randy Wood said no. Scott asked specifically about Hunter Wood mentioning aluminum foil as a means of blocking mind-reading. Randy Wood said no.
Scott entered a photo of Hunter Wood in front of Hunter T’s Chicken Shack as the next piece of evidence.

He asked Randy Wood once more if he was aware of Hunter Wood thinking people were stealing his thoughts, to which the father said no.

Randy Wood was dismissed as a witness, and the court entered a recess.

Witness: Ethan Perry

Ethan Perry, who had previously been thought to be the biological father of Evelyn, was called to the stand. When he took the stand, Perry confirmed he knew Boswell from dating her at Sullivan Central High School. Perry said they dated for years, at least until he graduated high school and joined the U.S. Army.

Perry was raised in Sullivan County and was raised by grandparents and step-grandparents, one of whom testified on Thursday.

Perry joined the Army 10 days after graduating high school. After training, he was stationed in Louisiana. While in basic training, Perry remained in contact with Boswell and said they were still dating for a time.

He told Harper that he came home for Christmas in 2017 and stayed with family. He said at that point they were not in what he would describe as a healthy relationship, but he did see her on that trip.

In spring 2018, Perry said Boswell told him she was pregnant, and she told him he was the father of the child. Initially, he testified that he believed her but soon began to doubt it. At the time, Evelyn was born, Perry was stationed at Fort Polk in Louisiana.

Perry did come back home in December 2018 after Evelyn was born but said he did not see the child or Boswell and still doubted the legitimacy of him being the father.

For a large stretch of time in 2019, Perry and his unit were stationed in El Paso, Texas. He said Boswell hastily came to visit him there after asking him to come home, but he said no. Perry told the court that Boswell drove to El Paso and sent him a photo of the outside of the hotel he was staying in.

Perry said Boswell and Evelyn spent about three or four days in El Paso with him. This marked the first time Perry met Evelyn, who was “toddling.” He said the last time he saw the child was at an IHOP in El Paso.

He and Boswell continued to stay in contact over Facebook Messenger, “mostly arguing,” Perry said. He recalled one instance in which she did ask him for money, and he believes he sent around $100.

As they stayed in contact, Perry said he still did not truly believe he was Evelyn’s father, and when he returned for a visit in December 2019 he did not see Evelyn. He hoped to see her and Boswell at the home of Paul Miller, his step-grandfather. However, Boswell said Evelyn had the flu and could not be there.

Harper presented a copy of text conversations between Perry and Boswell on Dec. 23, 2019. In them, the two coordinated going to Miller’s home. In the messages, Boswell repeatedly claims Evelyn has the flu.

Perry said he and Boswell did discuss Evelyn while at Miller’s for a few hours for a Christmas party. He then took Boswell back to her car at Northeast State Community College. They had more discussions while he was on leave, but Perry said despite wanting to, he did not see Evelyn while home on leave.

Boswell did come to Perry’s family’s home to pick up some gifts, but he said Evelyn was not there. He estimated Boswell was only there for about 10 minutes and remembered that she was going on a trip with Hunter Wood.

Harper produced a copy of messages from Boswell to Perry on Dec. 26 and 27, 2019. She told Perry that she had been kicked out of her father’s house, but Perry did not send any reply.

On Jan. 19, 2020, Perry recalled being contacted by a Rachel Owens with concerns about Evelyn, which prompted him to reach out to Boswell. Harper provided a copy of messages after he was contacted by Owens.

In a response from Boswell, she tells Perry to ignore Owens and says she has cut ties with all of her family.

Perry recalled being surprised when DCS reached out to him in February 2020 at the time when Evelyn was considered missing. He said he was asked by investigators from Tennessee and within the Army about Evelyn’s whereabouts. Perry said he cooperated with investigators fully and was submitted to a full search of his barracks and belongings and was interrogated for hours.

Perry maintained that Evelyn had never been to Fort Polk with him.

Through a DNA submission, Perry then learned he was not, in fact, Evelyn’s father.

During Scott’s cross-examination, he reiterated that he only ever saw Evelyn in El Paso. The majority of their time was spent at a hotel, at some restaurants and one trip to a zoo. He said he saw a small bruise on Evelyn, but did not see any signs of what he would consider abuse and noted that Evelyn seemed clean and healthy.

Perry was released as a witness.

Witness: Carl Perry

After Ethan Perry was dismissed, his grandfather Carl Perry took the stand. He told Massengill that Ethan Perry lived with him in Blountville from the time his grandson was in eighth or ninth grade into adulthood.

Carl Perry reiterated much of what his grandson said about his time in the military and trips he made back to Blountville while on leave.

Carl Perry told Massengill he did not recall much of the time around Christmas 2019. He said he did not see Boswell during that time, but he did know who Boswell and Evelyn were.

He told Massengill that the only time Boswell was on his property was when she and Ethan Perry dated in high school. Carl Perry testified that he told Ethan Perry to get a DNA test when Boswell told him that Evelyn was his child.

Carl Perry said neither Boswell nor Evelyn was ever at his home since the child was born, nor did he and his wife ever babysit. He said he never saw Evelyn, but he did recall seeing that Evelyn was reported missing on the news.

After that, he said reporters “from all over” came to his home. Police also came to the Perry home after Evelyn was reported missing to ask what Carl Perry and his wife knew about Evelyn. He said police realized his wife’s medical condition would have prevented them from ever babysitting Evelyn.

Carl Perry was dismissed as a witness without questions from the defense.

Witness: Michelle Gilliam

Lieutenant Michelle Gilliam of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) took the stand next. At the time when Evelyn was considered missing, Gilliam was a detective in the SCSO’s Criminal Investigations Division, specializing in child cases.

On the day the SCSO received a report from DCS regarding Evelyn, Gilliam was working at the sheriff’s office and interviewed Boswell. She interviewed Boswell after DCS investigator James Lewis and SCSO detective Tracy Haraz.

Gilliam claimed some of the things Boswell said in the interview did not add up or make sense.

Harper then tried to play a recording of that interview for the court. However, technical issues led to Goodwin calling a short recess while they attempted to figure out the video.

In the video, Gilliam asks Boswell to recount her living arrangements from the time Evelyn was born, from foster care to Tommy Boswell’s property to a trailer. She also told Gilliam about going to see Ethan Perry in Texas.

Boswell told Gilliam that Perry took Evelyn on Christmas Day 2019 after she took Evelyn to him, and she told Gilliam that was the last time she had seen her daugher. Boswell claimed in the interview that Perry was complaining about wanting to be part of Evelyn’s life. She said she and Hunter Wood took Evelyn to Perry but only she went inside with Evelyn.

Gilliam asked Boswell to confirm that she left her baby with Perry when he had been a part of her life up until then without deciding when she would take Evelyn back.

Around New Year’s, Boswell claimed in the interview that Perry called her threateningly and said she had not talked to him since, which prompted Gilliam to ask Boswell incredulously why she would leave her child with him then. Gilliam warned Boswell that investigators would learn the truth and told her to tell the truth.

While speaking with Gilliam, Boswell claimed she was going to notify police the next day if she did not have Evelyn by then.

“I have no clue,” Boswell said when Gilliam asked her where she thought Evelyn was.

“You seem totally unphased by this,” Gilliam said in the interview.

Gilliam again told Boswell that the truth would come out and told her she believes Boswell knew where Evelyn was. The video ended, and Harper resumed examining Gilliam.

Gilliam said she continued to work on the case and was on the scene March 6, 2020 when Evelyn’s body was found on Tommy Boswell’s property. Inside the shed on Tommy Boswell’s property, she described finding several baby items scattered about, including stained baby clothes, bibs, toys, diapers, dirty baby bottles, a stained baby blanket and a stained child’s swing.

Prosecutors provided Gilliam with dozens of photos of the shed and the items inside, all of which she identified. Among the items found was what Gilliam described as a medical syringe.

Harper then placed photos of the shed and its contents on a projector for the jury to see.

After going through each of the photos, Scott began cross-examining Gilliam. He asked if the items collected were sent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for analysis. Gilliam said she was not sure.

Scott then turned to the interview shown to the jury and asked Gilliam to provide more information on the time of day it took place. Scott had no further questions.

Gilliam was released as a witness but remained under a subpoena if further testimony was needed.

Goodwin sent the jury back to their hotel for the night. Court will resume Saturday with the jury expected back at 10:30 a.m.

LIVE: Third day of Megan Boswell trial begins

by: Murry Lee

Posted: Feb 7, 2025 / 08:54 AM EST

Updated: Feb 7, 2025 / 11:18 AM EST

Court resumed at 9 a.m. when the jury returned.

Witness: Bailey Hawkins

The defense began by cross-examining Hawkins, who had been a friend of Boswell’s for years and also knew Evelyn. Tim Horne, one of Boswell’s attorneys, asked her if she ever noticed any signs of abuse on Evelyn. Hawkins told him she did not, and the only concern she ever had were a few times when Evelyn’s car seat was not properly buckled.

Hawkins said Boswell never expressed any desire to not have Evelyn and appeared to care for her daughter.

After several questions from Horne about Boswell’s relationship with Evelyn, all of which Hawkins answered in a way that indicated Boswell loved her daughter, the defense asked Hawkins if she was knew if Boswell ever spanked or hit Evelyn. Hawkins said no.

When the prosecution took back over examining Hawkins, Assistant District Attorney Amber Massengill asked if she knew Hunter Wood and if she knew that Boswell was in a relationship. She answered yes and told the court she never saw Wood with Evelyn.

Hawkins was released as a witness.

Witness: Crystal Crawford

The next witness called to the stand by the state was Crystal Crawford. Crawford identified herself as an employee at the Econo Lodge in Kingsport, where she’s worked for 10 years. Part of her job responsibilities include checking guests in and out of the hotel at the front desk and keeping records.

The state produced a document showing Boswell checked in and out of the hotel three times in 2019 and once in 2020. The hotel stays were on:

  • Oct. 11-12, 2019
  • Dec. 14-15, 2019
  • Dec. 15-16, 2019
  • Jan. 5-6, 2020
Prosecutors also produced a registration card for Hawkins for her stays at the Econo Lodge.

Crawford said she recognized Boswell from staying at the hotel and believed she began conversation with Boswell around her third visit. The two spoke for about 20 minutes.

While speaking with Crawford during one visit, Boswell said her child was with her father. Crawford told Massengill that she never saw Evelyn at the hotel.

Crawford told the court that Boswell never seemed concerned when she was at the hotel.

The defense had no questions for Crawford, and she was released as a witness.

Witness: Katelyn Jones

Prosecutors called Katelyn (Jones) Carter as a witness next. Carter , a Kingsport resident, said she and Boswell were friends when Jones was in college. They met in middle school but reconnected when Carter was in college.

Carter said she had been around Evelyn about four or five times, and Boswell and Evelyn were typically together.

The last time Carter and Boswell spent time together was in early December. She recounted a trip to a Chili’s restaurant that the two of them and Evelyn took. While sitting in a booth together, Carter said she could tell Evelyn was dirty and smelled worse than a typical baby, in her opinion.

Carter said when Boswell began working at Hunter T’s Chicken Shack in Blountville, she was not dating anyone. Shortly after, Carter said she began dating Wood, and Carter said it appeared Boswell was not spending time with Evelyn anymore.

Carter told prosecutors she became concerned because Boswell had always had Evelyn with her before, but suddenly the child was not around. Boswell would go to places where people typically bring their children, like an aquarium, without her daughter.

The prosecution gave Carter photos of Boswell and Wood at an aquarium without Evelyn. Carter said Boswell sent her the photos. Massengill moved to have them entered into evidence, and Gene Scott, Boswell’s attorney, had a technical objection that the court sorted out.

The aquarium photos were shown to the jury, which pictured Boswell and Wood at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg in 2019. Carter did not recall the exact day Boswell texted her the photos but believed it was mid-December.

When Carter asked Boswell where Evelyn was, Boswell told her she was with Ethan Perry, who was believed to be the biological father of the child. Boswell told Carter that Perry had claimed emergency custody of Evelyn.

“She said that Ethan had saw photos of Evelyn with bruises on her forehead,” Carter said when Massengill asked if Boswell explained why Perry had taken the child.

In late December, Carter recounted meeting with Boswell at The Pinnacle in Bristol, Tennessee without Evelyn. While together, Carter said Boswell received a call from her father, Tommy Boswell, Sr., and told him she would be getting Evelyn back from Perry at the beginning of February.

Gene Scott took over cross-examination and asked Carter if the previous Chili’s experience was the only time she had seen Evelyn in that state. Carter said yes and told the court she never noticed any signs of abuse and that Boswell appeared to be a loving mother.

Carter said her friendship with Boswell ended in early January 2020 because Boswell did not have a phone, and their communication ended.

Scott attempted to nail down dates in December with Carter based on when her college exams and when they took place.

Massengill took back over examining Carter and asked if she remembered having an interview with law enforcement. Scott objected, and the legal teams conferred with Goodwin. Massengill moved on and asked if Carter remembered the last time she saw Evelyn, to which she said the trip to Chili’s was the last time.

The three of them went to Chili’s about three or four weeks after Boswell starting working at the Chicken Shack and was already dating Wood.

Carter was dismissed as a witness.

Witness: Gail Kyte

Boswell’s foster mother, Gail Kyte, was called as the next witness. Kyte is also the mother of Casey Saults, a witness called on Thursday.

Kyte, a Roan Mountain resident, said she was Boswell’s foster mother for four months from in late 2018 to early 2019. Boswell was 17-years-old and seven months pregnant when she came to live with Kyte.

Kyte said Evelyn was born while Boswell was her foster child, and Evelyn appeared to be developing and advancing nicely. Boswell took Evelyn to all of her medical appointments while they lived with Kyte.

Boswell later went to live with her father, Tommy Boswell, but Kyte said they stayed in contact. Boswell and Evelyn visited Kyte in September 2019, at which point Evelyn was “toddling” and taking a few steps on her own. That was the last time Kyte saw Evelyn.

Dec. 3, 2019 Facebook messages between Kyte and Boswell were shown to the jury. Those messages show Boswell asking Kyte if her sister, Sue Whitson, would be willing to babysit Evelyn so she could go back to school. Kyte answered saying she believed Whitson would.

Kyte said Whitson did watch Evelyn a few times.

Kyte was aware Boswell had started dating Wood because they both went to a Christmas play with her on Dec. 22. Boswell and Wood did not have Evelyn with them, and Boswell told Kyte that the child was with Perry and the two of them were splitting custody. Kyte told Massengill that Boswell did not seem upset or concerned.

Prosecutors then produced Jan. 13, 2020 messages between Kyte and Boswell. In the messages, Kyte asked how Boswell and Evelyn are doing. Boswell told her they were good and that Perry had half custody at that point. Kyte asked about Boswell and Evelyn visiting, and Boswell said it would take some time.

Boswell also expressed love and gratitude to Kyte and her family for the way they helped her and treated her as family.

Kyte also described a February 2020 phone conversation with Boswell’s aunt, during which they tried to determine where Evelyn was. Kyte said she attempted to contact Boswell to find out where Evelyn was and ended up speaking with Tommy Boswell. Kyte did manage to message Boswell over Facebook, who said she did not have a phone.

Kyte then called and left a message with a Department of Children’s Services investigator that said she believed Evelyn was missing.

Scott asked Kyte about Boswell’s time as her foster child. Kyte said the pregnant teenager was underweight when she came into her care, saying it was difficult to tell she was pregnant. Kyte said she took Boswell to appointments and was present at Evelyn’s birth. She told Scott that Boswell was loving and devoted to Evelyn and never saw any signs of abuse or neglect.

Boswell was fine with returning to her father’s home, Kyte told Scott.

Kyte was released as a witness.

Witness: Sue Whitson

Sue Whitson, Kyte’s sister, was the next witness called. Whitson, who lives in Elizabethton, told Massengill she knew Boswell and Evelyn through her sister.

Whitson recalled being asked by Boswell to babysit Evelyn three or four times. Boswell brought Evelyn to Whitson’s home.

Massengill provided Whitson with a picture of Evelyn that Whitson took in December the last time that she watched the child. The photo shows Evelyn in a blue shirt and pink pants inside. Whitson said Evelyn was a very healthy baby.

The last time Whitson watched Evelyn, Boswell picked her up late. Boswell later told her that she would not be needing her to watch Evelyn anymore. Whitson said Boswell told her that about two weeks after the last time she watched Evelyn.

Whitson did have concerns on the days she watched Evelyn. She described a bad diaper rash on the child, which she relayed to her niece, Casey Saults. Saults worked at a doctors office at the time and described the diaper rash herself while testifying on Thursday.

“I’d never seen a diaper rash look that bad,” Whitson said.

Each time Evelyn was dropped off, Whitson said the child was dirty. She also told the court that Evelyn would smell of urine when she was left with her.

Massengill gave Whitson a copy of Dec. 21, 2019 messages between herself and Boswell. Before showing the messages, Massengill asked Whitson if she was ever paid for watching Evelyn prior to the messages. Whitson said no, she had not been paid because of Boswell’s supposed custody battle with Perry.

In the messages, Whitson asked for payment from Boswell for babysitting. Boswell apologized and said she would pay her, attributing the hold up to the custody battle.

When asked by Scott, Whitson said she did not know Boswell “that well at all.”

She answered further questions about the timeline of when her babysitting ended.

Whitson was released, and the court took a 15-minute recess.

Witness: Erica Stacy

When court resumed, Erica Stacy was called to the stand. Stacy knows Boswell through her son, Caleb, who dated Boswell in spring 2019.

Stacy said she met Evelyn a handful of times and believes she had a relationship with her from times they would visit her Kingsport home. Stacy said she never saw Boswell without Evelyn before Thanksgiving 2019. Stacy said she offered to babysit Evelyn but never did.

Stacy’s son and Boswell dated for a few months, but Stacy stayed in touch with her because she said she wanted to help her. Stacy began tearing up at this point in her testimony.

She recalled Boswell and Evelyn coming to her home in September 2019 so she could put decals on Boswell’s car. That was the last time Stacy remembers seeing Evelyn.

Stacy did see Boswell in December 2019 when she wanted to give her a birthday shirt she had made for Evelyn’s first birthday. Boswell came to Stacy’s house to get the gifts but did not have Evelyn with her.

Massengill asked Stacy to put on gloves to remove evidence from an envelope. When she removed the evidence, Stacy began crying and informed the jury it was a shirt she had made for Evelyn for the child’s birthday.

The next piece of evidence she removed was a blue Baby Shark blanket that Stacy had put Evelyn’s name on for the child. Stacy, still crying, said the shirt was made for Evelyn to wear at a birthday party she believed was being planned, and the blanket was a gift for the child.

Stacy said that around the time Evelyn would be turning 1-year-old, Boswell would say Evelyn was “mean as [expletive],” which shocked Stacy.

Stacy said she also bought Christmas gifts for both Boswell and Evelyn, but Boswell did not come collect them.

In January 2020, Stacy saw Boswell again two times at church with Wood but did not see Evelyn. Each time she asked where Evelyn was, Boswell told her that the baby was with Perry. Stacy said it was strange to see her without Evelyn, but she described Boswell’s demeanor as happy.

Stacy learned Evelyn was missing after police showed up at her home hoping to speak with her, although Stacy herself was not at the home.

She later picked up and spoke with Boswell at another time (Stacy thought it may have been February) and asked where Evelyn was. She described Boswell as “emotion-less” and not crying, despite her answers that she did not know where Evelyn was.

Stacy told Massengill that the Boswell she saw on the news doing interviews after the AMBER Alert for Evelyn was issued was not the girl she had come to know. Stacy described Boswell’s behavior in those interviews as “rehearsed.”

Massengill produced messages between Stacy and Boswell from Jan. 8, 2020. On that day, Stacy texted Boswell that she had been “worried to death about you” and worried about her and Evelyn but received no reply.

The attorneys approached the bench, and Goodwin asked the jury to leave the courtroom for a moment.

Ive missed a lot. Is EP bio father to Evelyn? If so, why wasn’t EB given his last name? TIA

He was her ex-boyfriend and she told him he was the father. Even though he doubted that he was because of timing, he went along with it. With the investigation, LE had him do a DNA test and it proved he is not the father.
