Just saw this... (bbm)
ETA: I wonder if that one clue is figuring out who some DNA matches?
Yes, Boulder is just a DNA match away from solving a case too...

No. The abductor wanted Holly...and Holly only. He didn't want the community. Others might not be safe, but it won't be in this community next time.
Notice in the article just mentioned a few posts back.

"Tennessee Bureau of Investigation officials said they are getting more leads than they can handle, including hundreds of calls about rumors. They ask only people with serious information to call 800-TBI-FIND."
I think that answers why the family, LE, TBI are not going to the media...
Also - very exciting and hopeful reading, "investigators say they think they are just one clue away from cracking the case" !!!
And, you know this for a fact, especially if he's local?
That link's not working for me but the page I got did ask me if I wanted to be a writer for the Examiner.

Personally, I see a major difference in the 2. DNA match is just that, they still need somebody to match it with, that narrows it down to millions. IMO when police say they are close and just need one piece of info, that tells me they know who did it but are needing confirmation on a piece of evidence.
I can see where others would or could view it differently, but this is how I view it.

I have read every post and do recall LE being at the Bobo home many weeks ago. My question pertains to knowledge that they are still guarding the home.
Yes that was back in April...I am wondering why we think they are still under guard and if so, where there is a link.
Has anyone seen or heard that the police are still stationed at the house? This to me is very strange.
Do you have a link for the article?
TIA
I can't think of a case where the family did not want any media attention after this long, with a child missing. She still needs to be found, even if they do have a suspect (perhaps). I hope LE knows what they are doing, I am not one who automatically assumes that they do. Every case is different and this may be one that simply baffles them, so they are going with the old "silence is golden" rule.

I think most of us are thinking about this in the context of our own lives, where we live, and how we would react. But, this family is from a very small town. Much smaller than most of us can comprehend. How many of us have the first idea what it's like to live in a town so small you could know the entire police department by name?
When you live in Seattle, or Portland, and possible suspects are greatly more anonymous and far flung than they would be here, going on GMA or Today, or Nancy Grace, may help find your child. When you live in tiny little Parson's, your child disappeared from your own yard in the woods, and your everyday world consists of 2500 people, most of whom you know (or think you do), going on GMA is probably not going to have much of a payoff compared to the amount of criticism you'll receive on everything you say and do. Or don't say and do.
Think about the worse parsing that went on, both here and elsewhere, after every press briefing. Can you imagine how thoroughly (and in some cases heartlessly) their every word would be dissected?
After thinking it over for quite a while, I don't think I would recommend someone in their particular situation put themselves through an MSM feeding frenzy. Your mileage may vary of course. :innocent:
Oh no, someone posting on another thread here that her body has been found...going to look for a link...![]()
